Baby Bop is sad she lost her pet caterpillar Monty. Barney and friends try to help her find him. When they discover Monty inside a chrysalis, everyone is excited to watch him become a butterfly! As BJ sets up a bug zoo in the caboose, Riff isn't sure he wants to be around bugs. When the park magically transforms into a theater with performing insects, Riff discovers that bugs don't bug him at all.
When Riff ends up losing his lucky medal, he thought he won't be able to play games at the Shapes Carnival in the park. Barney and his friends show Riff he doesn't need his medal to have fun. After it rains, Baby Bop spies a beautiful rainbow. When the others come to see it...it's gone. Baby Bop is very disappointed, so Barney and the others paint their own rainbow. When it starts to rain again, the homemade rainbow collapses and gets it all ruined! Luckily, the real life beautiful rainbow appears again!
An ordinary game of "hide and seek" takes a not-so-ordinary turn when Baby Bop claims that an elephant is hiding in the park! Barney and Riff are happy to play along, but BJ thinks that his sister may be "seeing things." Then, BJ and Riff have a friendly contest to see which of them can find the loudest sound in the park.
When Barney introduces shy Riff to some of his friends, Baby Bop ends up upset as the kids seem more impressed with Riff and his special talents. BJ's enthusiastic efforts to decorate the park go awry when he accidentally paints the caboose red, yellow and blue! Barney helps BJ learn that everyone makes mistakes. Baby Bop can't wait for BJ and Riff to go on their camping trip, so she can have Barney and the park all to herself. But once they're gone, she discovers she misses them more than she expected! Barney helps Baby Bop learn to keep friends and family close while they's away in their hearts!
BJ, Baby Bop and Riff can hardly wait for the petting farm to come to the park. Barney helps them pass the time by teaching them about the days of the week. When the farm petting animals finally arrive, everyone realizes that it was worth the wait! Riff feels terrible when he accidentally wrecks BJ's beloved scooter! Riff and Baby Bop decide to have a sale in the park to raise money to buy BJ a new scooter.
When Baby Bop's snacks are eaten, detective BJ helps her find which animal is the culprit. Barney sees Riff protecting a nest full of duck eggs. They leave the eggs to look for food for when the ducklings arrive. When they return, Riff is pleasantly surprised to find the eggs have cracked open and the baby ducklings have hatched!
BJ is surprised to learn that "The Land of Mother Goose" truly exists. Several Mother Goose characters have come to ask for help; parts of their rhymes are missing! Baby Bop can't wait to see what's in the box that Barney, BJ, Riff and some children are wrapping. Barney tells a story while they wait. And Baby Bop realizes that sometimes waiting is a good thing!
Baby Bop isn't satisfied with the things she can do. She wants to play the piano keyboard like Riff and roller skate like Barney. Nobody can cheer her up, until she unexpectedly gets the whole park dancing - and realizes there are things she can do! When the kids unintentionally leave a boy in a wheelchair out of their play, Barney steps in to help. Everyone feels excluded sometimes...even Barney!
Jamal has never danced before and is too shy to try. On the day of the big dance party, Barney and his friends introduce Jamal to many kinds of dances from hip hop to Native American to ballet. After BJ loses everyone's tickets to the circus, he sets out to find them and learns a valuable lesson about responsibility. Baby Bop discovers a lonely little flower struggling to grow in a shady spot. She takes it to a sunny spot, nurtures it, and is thrilled when the flower blooms. When the flower dies on a cold day, Barney and friends help her gain hope for the future.
Three children try to build a pretend farm, but have a hard time working together. Barney takes them to a ranch to show them how all the people there have to work together to keep things running smoothly. Riff invents a Happiness Machine to try to cheer up a sad little girl. But it's her friends, not the machine, that make her happy!

Barney tells everyone about Beethoven, a famous musician who wrote beautiful music even though he couldn't hear it.

BJ feels left out when the kids have a Dog Show to show off their pets. He doesn't have a dog and wishes he did! A friend shares her dog with BJ so he can join in the fun. Barney's friends are having a hard time deciding what to do, due to everyone wanting to do the same thing! Barney's Native American tale, "The Chase" shows them that it's best to think for themselves and not follow the crowd.

Emma can't play with her friends because she has to complete a school project about her family. Barney brings Emma on a trip to Venice to learn more about her great grandfather. Emma learns that a big task can be made simpler and lots more fun if you break it down into smaller tasks and take them one at a time. By the time she gets home, Emma is eager to tackle her big school project.
Barney and his friends are getting ready for a school play. When Barney tells everyone that putting on shows began in Greece, they want to go visit! While there, they decide to put on a play in an amphitheater. Barney knows a great story that originated in Greece called "King Midas." Before long, everyone has experienced another country and learned that wanting too much is not a good thing!
When Ben accidentally includes Kioko's prized music box from Switzerland in a cardboard box of yard sale items, the music box is sold! Kioko is sad and Ben wants to make things right, so he and Barney travel to Switzerland in search of a replacement gift. While there, they sample customs, games and Swiss sweet treats, but unfortunately, no music box! Luckily, when Ben returns, the music box is returned!
When the kids find a mysterious, colorful egg in the park, Barney takes them on a trip to Kenya to try to find out what kind of animal could have laid the egg. While in Kenya, they meet Ayira who introduces them to many people, cultures and animals of Kenya!
Tracy needs a bird of paradise for her school party! Barney takes her and the rest of the kids to Hawaii on a quest for a bird of paradise. While there, they meet some friends, learn new Hawaiian words, make Hawaiian leis, and dance a hula! Eventually, Barney and his friends find a bird of paradise, but it's not quite the bird they were expecting to see!
Emma wants to paint an award-winning painting for the "Art In The Park Show," but she isn't satisfied with her artwork. Barney takes her to France to learn how to paint from his friend, Pierre. While there, they learn about France. And Emma learns how to paint by following her heart!
It's Earth Day, a great time for everyone to learn how to help take care of our world, but Ben is wasting paper while BJ isn't too concerned about cutting down a tree to make room for a new playground. After a trip to the rainforest and a meeting with Mother Nature, everyone learns the importance of taking care of our world.
