Candice Renoir
French police Commandant Candice Renoir and her team solve different crime cases in a harbor city of southern France. Candice herself is a divorced mother of four whose daily routine is always packed.

Candice Renoir, a single mother starts her new job as commandant de police in Southern France and immediately she is strongly opposed by inspector Dumas, who has lead the group for a month and had hoped to become their leader definitively. Also it seems he has a "very good" relationship with Renoir's superior. Another one to oppose her is inspector Chrystelle da Silva. The only one to seem favourable is sergeant Jean-Baptiste Medjaoui. The first case is the murder of Sophie Vauquier, who worked for a weapons manufacturer and seems to have marriage problems. In the meantime Candice is juggling with her children and their lives, school etc.

In the middle of the rehearsals of "Les Fourberies de Scapin", by Moliere, that an amateur company is performing at Sète Theatre, Amira, the actress who plays the role of Zerbinette, collapses, murdered. Candice is convinced that the culprit is a member of the company; in particular she suspects Simon Ferrer, the director, who did not hesitate to change the cast and give the lead role to a newcomer, perhaps because they were having an affair. The autopsy, though, reveals that Amira was still a virgin. The team must solve the case while Antoine is still in the hospital, in a coma.

Homeless Jeff reports the finding of a body near a beach in Sète. Aline confirms cause of dead is strychnine poisoning. Jeff stole the bicycle's victim, along with his ID and address: Joachim Brisset, 24, a squatter in a downtown building and a member of a freegan community. His father Étienne, thought him to be working in Cuba. JB has left the team, and, although he is not yet discharged, Antoine is back to stop Attia transferring the case to Montpellier due to lack of forces. Candice is having an affair with Commandant Canovas from the BRI.

A woman is stabbed in her home and it looks like a crime of passion of her lover, Rodolphe Becker, just released from prison for the murder of his wife. Even if he always claimed his innocence, everything seemed to accuse him then and now. But when Candice gets to know the man, she faces the doubt and gets off the main track of the case, as she thinks it all seems too obvious.

Reeling from Canovas' departure, Candice investigates a murder where the body has disappeared. Unfortunately, Dumas' mother seems to be involved and the victim is not quite the saint everyone claims. Meanwhile, Antoine is self-medicating in an effort to deal with his PTSD.

A children's sailing instructor disappears into the sea, Candice finds out that she is taking in a refugee girl who has also disappeared. Candice discovers that Antoine is dating Jennifer and he organizes a couples dinner with David and Candice.

Brigadier Mehdi Babou, joins Commandant Renoir's team and he seems "different" from them but he will be as surprised as the rest of the team of Candice's methods. The brigade will test him quick: the body of a woman is found near the cliffs. Edible paint remains on the victim's body put them on the trail of a nearby illegal nursery. At home, Candice watches the conflict between her posh ex-husband Laurent and David Canovas, her new boyfriend from the BRI.

The main suspect is Dylan, son of the deceased, but Antoine and his boss in the PJ, Sylvie Leclerc, are taking up the case for it is related to a series of violent robberies they are investigating. Candice is upset with Antoine's attitude and for interfering in her criminal investigations.

However, the seemingly natural death of Robert Houdon and the disappearance of his valuables, lead Antoine and Candice to suspect Damien Darras, his physiotherapist, and to link it to the death of a number of wealthy, isolated and elderly retirees. This investigation returns Candice to Valenciennes, the city of her childhood, where she once experienced a family tragedy.

After the murder of her main suspect, Candice's investigation in Valenciennes becomes more complicated, with the addition of death threats if she does not drop the case. Stanislas Werner, her charming colleague from the local police, tries to protect her, but Candice scapes from the guardians to solve the case herself, suspecting that her own mother, Magda, with whom she has been angry for years, is behind all these crimes and she wants to confront her and find answers to the uncertainties of the past.

Rumours circulate on the Internet that a child has been kidnapped in Sète. When Candice and Chrystelle go to see the mother, they discover that the boy is ok and that it is fake news. Unfortunately, the dissemination is unstoppable and false information begins to proliferate with the name and photograph of the alleged kidnapper, a paedophile. To avoid that the public take justice into their own hands, the team must find him before the drama takes place. On the other hand, Candice and Antoine continue their secret romance, but they do not tell their respective partners and David begins to suspect that something happened in Valenciennes. Jennifer is pregnant and Antoine asks her to abort.

They discover a corpse in the trunk of an abandoned car, the investigation will put Aline and Candice in conflict. Candice breaks up with David while Antoine decides to have the child with Jennifer

S5.E1 ∙ Faute avouée à demi-pardonnée
After a well-deserved vacation, Candice goes back to work as if nothing had happened to David Canovas, and resumes the investigations attending a company meeting where one of the employees, Anna Clement, is found dead. The team discovers that Anna had lied to get the job and was living apart from her husband and daughter to keep it and avoid being discovered. A search of her apartment reveals that she was receiving flowers from an alleged lover and her husband confirms a change in her behaviour.
S5.E2 ∙ Qui se ressemble s'assemble
After her car accident, Commander Renoir with a collar and splint on her leg, returns home and drives her children crazy, thinking that they should be at her service. Trying to get rid of her they ask Aline to take her for an X-ray and spend they out. The head of the IJ receives a call to attend a crime scene where a corpse has been found in a caravan after a fire. Candice can't stay still and manages to get there and find a 18-year-old boy, about to marry, member of a family of sedentary Catalan gypsies. Although still on leave, Candice insists Leclerc to go back to work. To stop being worried, her children will provide her with a wheelchair, which will exasperate and worry her teammates, unable to stop her follow with the investigation on her own. She will discover that the deceased was in love with Rose Martin, a "paya", which would explain the flower that he had tattooed on his chest. Everything points to a crime of passion.
S5.E3 ∙ Il faut que jeunesse se passe
A motorcyclist attacks Yann Costa on the terrace of a cafe at eight in the morning and hunts him down when he tries to escape. Fortunately, the young man receives only superficial wounds. This new investigation, three weeks after the last one, allows Candice to take her mind off Canovas and to resume the partnership with Captain Dumas so the team can regain its balance. The first investigations lead them Sète secondary school, where sex internet videos of three girl students are causing a stir among the educational community. The common denominator of the recordings is Yann, who turns out to be a seductive young man. The team suspects that someone wants to take revenge on him.
S5.E4 ∙ L'argent n'a pas d'odeur
The morning after the incident with Jennifer, Candice fears she will be rebuked at work. She is late for work and takes a shortcut, when a stranger forces her stop the car, because he has found the corpse of neighbour, Delphine Morine fallen on the stairs of her home. The PTS (Police technique et scientifique) confirms it is murder. The victim was a clerk in the civil court dealing with tutelage. One of the supervised adults, Adam Bastelli, photographer, becomes the main suspect. Chrystelle's substitute, Lieutenant Valerie Alger, joins the team.
S5.E5 ∙ Aux grands maux les grands remèdes
Candice and the team investigate at an equestrian centre where a young woman is hysterical and covered in blood. Then a body is found, shot in the head.
S5.E6 ∙ Mieux vaut tard que jamais
Candice visits Hervé Mazzani's clinic, physiotherapist and former partner, with the excuse of a pain in her knee. At 4 am, Mehdi and Antoine wake her up for a breaking in the villa of Thierry Barbet and his daughter Emilie, during which he received a 10,000 volt shock from a taser. The house has security surveillance from the company "Sud Sécurité", one of whose employees is Phil Hermann, the prefect's unbearable nephew, who was fired from the police a few months after his last assignment in Sète in Candice's team, and who is the owner of the taser. Nothing was stolen from the house and the team is sure that Phil is not a thief. Back at Hervé's office and about to resume their relationship, Candice receives a call from Phil saying that he is being chased.
S5.E7 ∙ La curiosité est un vilain défaut
Candice surprises her children rehearsing a song and thinks it is a surprise for her birthday. At the police station, Leclerc imposes a journalist on her: Victoire Filippi will follow the group for an article, but since she does not follow the rules the Commandant imposed, Candice dismisses her. Victoire tries to win over Mehdi for his performance in the previous case, killing a serial rapist; Mehdi accepts a drink with her to make Claire, distant after their love affair, jealous. The next morning, the team, with a hungover Mehdi, must investigate the murder of Patrick Astier, a renowned journalist whose body has been found inside the tank of a fish farm, half eaten by eels. He had uncovered a case of oyster food poisoning and did not have the sympathy of oyster farmer Jean-Yves Losserand. But he was also Victoire's last boss.
S5.E8 ∙ La nuit, tous les chats sont gris
While her children leave her alone to attend her ex Laurent's wedding, Candice and the team investigate the murder of Élodie Tardieu, 38, at her house, stabbed. Although it looks like a robbery gone wrong, Candice believes it is a passion crime. Other women were robbed after arranging dates through "SiProche" app. Candice and Leclerc date Élodie's last contacts at "SiProche" as possible suspects.
S5.E9 ∙ Ce que femme veut... (1ère partie)
The body of Stéphanie Rochet, an activist fighting for the rights of prostitutes, is found. Although she's suffering from a severe headache, Candice starts searching the victim's home with Mehdi, where they find clothes and records which had belonged to Stéphanie's mother, a prostitute who was murdered in 1975. That night, while Candice is studying the dossier at home, Fun, the dog of the Renoir's, makes her fall and she bumps her head onto the floor, unconscious. Antoine and the team are overwhelmed but continue with the investigation. While Candice is in a coma, she finds herself in 1975 investigating the murder of Stéphanie's mother, but she is a mere inspector, surrounded by male detectives which ignore her and want her to typewrite and make coffee.
S5.E10 ∙ Ce que femme veut... (2ème partie)
While investigating the murder of Stephanie's mother in the 70s, Candice is reunited with David and does not want to leave him, so her coma worsens. While currently Medhi and Val are about to solve Stephanie's murder.
S6.E1 ∙ Il faut souffrir pour être beau
Candice and Leclerc have a drink and play the true game on a terrace on the beach with some friends. Candice confesses she slept with a colleague and has not heard from him for a year. Leclerc looks at her reproachfully, but then a woman confesses having killed her husband. Candice and Sylvie reveal their identity and arrest her. Back at the station, a new case: the murder of Karim Berkaoui, famous for his training programmes and diets on the internet, attacked at his home. Elder brother Rachid is the main suspect, having incurred large debts due to failed business. Candice investigates Karim through his videos and tries to get fit with his programmes. It seems life is smiling at her after her coma: Jules entered cooking school, Emma has a new boyfriend, the twins are more independent, and Antoine returns. She will soon realize that things can suddenly get worse.
S6.E2 ∙ La vengeance est un plat qui se mange froid
While Comisaire Leclerq prepares to leave and Candice asks her why she didn't tell her about Antoine being her replacement as comisaire. In the meantime, she decides to choose the substitute in her team for his looks to make Antoine jealous. A new murder in a dinosaur amusement park can be the perfect place to test if he is as good a policeman as handsome. Candice wonders if she's made the right choice.

A man is found dead in his garage and when the police starts the investigation all evidences lead to Candice, who's been acting strange after the coma. Neither her children or the team knew that she had recently bought a sports car and rented a garage where she's fixing it. Antoine and the team have to investigate and prove her innocence.
S6.E4 ∙ À beau mentir qui vient de loin
The body of a handsome young man from Senegal is found dead on the beach. Clara Doukouré, his widow, met him during a sex travel to Senegal. Candice and her team start investigating the sex tourism for women. Although Leclerq insisted on Antoine and Candice working together, Jennifer leaves little Suzanne with her dad and Antoine is forced to take her to the police station and abandon the field work, which Candice secretly enjoys.
S6.E5 ∙ Le chien est le meilleur ami de l'homme
Isabelle Moreau, a lawyer, is found dead with her dog by her side. She and "Iggy" used to enter dog agility competitions, which gives Candice the idea of using "Fun" as cover to join the club of which Isabelle was a member to find out more. At home, she is trying to cope with her ex-husband unexpected arrival: apparently, his marriage is about to finish. As Candice thinks that marrying a younger woman was a mistake, she wants to prove her point to Emma that the age difference can be a problem in a couple. At the police station, things between the team and Franck Davenne are getting worse every day.
S6.E6 ∙ C'est la goutte d'eau qui fait déborder le vase
It's a Saturday morning, and while Antoine is waiting for her to have an interview with Franck, Candice decides to accompany Léo to school after discovering that he has six hours of detention for fighting. Leo's teacher happens to be Max, an old acquaintance of hers, that she met during an investigation. Suddenly, the mother of a student, who is suffering from bullying, gets in the classroom carrying a gun and took them hostage.
S6.E7 ∙ L'enfer est pavé de bonnes intentions
Love has two faces at the Renoir's: Candice starts meeting Max and Emma's boyfriend has broken up with her. The team attends Franck's burial and the psychologist offers his services to treat them, without success. So he frames them, with the authorisation of Leclerq, and they all embark in a vessel down the canal. As they witness the death of a man who is running on the bank, they are forced to stop the group therapy.
S6.E8 ∙ À la guerre comme à la guerre
Adrian Terrasson, a soldier of the Légion Étrangère is found strangled, but none of his comrades would talk to Candice or Mehdi during the investigation, for they follow a strong code of honour and keep silent. Antoine is forced to join the corps, infiltrated as a journalist researching for an article, to gain the confidence of the other recruits and clarify the murder.
S6.E9 ∙ L'union fait la force (1ère partie)
Candice and Max are going to get married and she is making the last wedding arrangements at work, which annoys Antoine. Val and Mehdi, tired of seeing them fighting all the time, suggest them to be treated by Paul Perrier, the police psychologist, or they will request to be transferred, which Candice and Antoine accept. In the meantime, two students report at the police station that a classmate from high school is missing. While searching his home, the team discovers that all the family is missing too and that there are traces of blood.
S6.E10 ∙ L'union fait la force (2ème partie)
The main suspect in the investigation is found murdered in the forest, but there is no trace of the Frémonts. Candice and Antoine, still in each other's body, try to find Dr Lermin, who hypnotized them, to give their bodies back, as well as solving the investigation as quickly as possible, before Candice's wedding. Only doing their best to understand each other will help them to put an end to their delicate situation.

Candice and Max are supposed to be on vacation after their wedding, but a call from Medhi about a corpse interrupts this. As Antoine recovers in the hospital from his injuries from being hit by a car, Candice and her team investigate the murder. Max's children move in with Candice, Max, and Candice's children, and the step-siblings argue a lot, prompting Emma to say she's moving out.

Léa Dubois has been dead for three days when her body and her bicycle are found hidden under tree leaves near a river close to Issanka Park. The coroner reports she was run over by a car, raped and hit with a stone until her death. The killer cut off a lock of the victim's hair, a modus operandi which reminds Candice of Simon Belvaux's, a serial killer sent to prison when she worked in Paris. While the team is investigating similar cases, Candice travels to Paris to meet Pascal Louvier, her former partner in the brigade, which lead them to remember the old times.
S7.E7 ∙ Souvent Femme Varie...
Olivier Montfort, 50, single, no children, owner of a real estate agency for luxury villas, talks on the phone around midnight in the pool of his home in select Mont Saint-Clair. Agathe Clavel, his assistant, approaches him from behind and administers several electric shocks with a taser gun. Then, she hides a package in a fuse box. It looks like a premeditated homicide carried out in cold blood. Also, the taser gun that Olivier owned is missing. The investigation is being developed with an increasingly ill Antoine.
S7.E8 ∙ Jeu de Main, Jeu de Vilain
Max takes Candice to see a house he has made an offer for, which leaves her confused, as she has applied for a job in Paris. The brigade has to solve the disappearance of Angélique Petit, a young boxer, missing since she left the Boxing Club Sétois. Within the club, there was a rivalry between Angélique and Irina Staniak, to represent the club in the regional championships. With Angélique out of the way, the path to the competition has been cleared for her rival. Mehdi infiltrates the club to obtain information.
S7.E9 ∙ Bon sang ne saurait mentir
Candice and Max argue over Candice's transfer request and Max unilaterally decides to break the news to the children, who also get mad at Candice. The team must go to the shores of Lake Salagou, in the set of a famous TV series, where the body of François Portier has been discovered struck in the temple with a stone that was cleaned up and then dropped near the body. François had suffered repeated punctures in the tires of his vehicle. Apparently, he was a womanizer and had numerous enemies.
S7.E10 ∙ Les Grands Esprits Se Rencontrent
While visiting Antoine in hospital before his cerebral angioma operation, Candice is summoned to Ariane Venturi's house, a controversial town councillor, environmentalist and famous lawyer, whose body is found by a bottle of wine and some pills. Brother Alexandre informs Candice that she was getting over a divorce and a second abortion and had started drinking. Evidences suggest suicide, but after the autopsy, Nathalie reports she was forced to take sleeping pills. Due to her extreme environmental militancy, the victim had received threats in the form of coffins, which she had reported to the police station.

Claire Longval is found dead in her home, violently beaten on the head in her sleep, the scene looks like a robbery and her bag is missing; Antoine returns to his job as commissioner still with partial amnesia.
