Talented young dancers will invite one untrained family member or other adult who has supported their dance dreams, to become their dance partner for a chance to strut their stuff for a grand prize.

The journey begins as 12 dance teams, each comprised of one extremely talented kid dancer and their untrained parent, enter the competition.

Contestants dance to songs from some of the biggest pop artists.
S1.E3 ∙ Bust a Groove Night Part 1
The stakes are at an all-time high when each kid is tasked with teaching their parent three dance moves that they must incorporate into their performance; the duos perform to hit songs by Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Fall Out Boy and Sia.
S1.E4 ∙ Bust a Groove Night Part 2
The second wave of five kids task their dance partners with learning three new moves that they must pull off during their performances; the five remaining teams perform dance routines to hit songs from Ciara, Sia and Technotronic.
S1.E5 ∙ Picture This
Each team performs a routine inspired by a photo that represents their relationship.
S1.E6 ∙ #Throwback
The final eight teams create performances inspired by their favourite eras, from ancient Egypt to present day.
S1.E7 ∙ Musical Magic
Seven teams remain in the competition as they perform dance routines to hit musical songs.
S1.E8 ∙ Jet-Setters
Six teams perform dances inspired by dream destinations; one team receives the first-ever perfect score in the competition.
S1.E9 ∙ Heroes Night
Each team is tasked with creating their own superhero power as they battle their way through difficult dance routines.
S1.E10 ∙ Semi-Final
The top eight contestants showcase their skills and compete against each other to win a spot in the semi-finals.
