Insurance agent Scott Eric Sommer's private plane crashes in the Everglades after his pilot was shot. Only Sommer himself is found alive. His accountant seems to have struggled and jumped out. The firm was under SEC investigation.

A Colombian importer is found with a 'necklace bomb' around his neck. The bomb explodes, killing a bomb squad officer, Al, who is Horatio's friend.
S1.E4 ∙ Just One Kiss
A dead man is found on the beach. A wealthy family is implicated.
S1.E5 ∙ Ashes to Ashes
A priest, Father Carlos, is found dead in his private office with gunshot wounds in his back.
S1.E6 ∙ Broken
A mother loses sight of her daughter Ruthie for a few seconds only later to find that her little girl is now dead at the hand of a pedophile. As the investigation continues, the detectives realize that they are dealing with a serial pedophile.

A man struggles on board a yacht and literally falls dead. On land, a male lap dancer is found dead after a night of partying.

A bloodied toddler walks down a street. Back at her house, her mother and three brothers are found dead. The only other survivor is her father who has a gunshot wound on his back.

A horribly mutilated body of a professor is found lynched on a tree.

A teen model is found dead near a leech-filled swamp. Another body is found, seemingly burned from the inside.

A senior woman is found dead in her own blood-splattered apartment in a retirement community. Another case involves a body found inside an abandoned house used for cooking up recreational drugs.

A man is found dead, lying face down, gagged, the four limbs tied to the bedposts, with signs of sexual assault. The house shows no signs of break in.

An environmental lawyer is poisoned with a radioactive isotope and has only one week left to help the CSI team find her murderer.
S1.E16 ∙ Evidence of Things Unseen
A man is murdered at a peep show, and the suspects include his cousin, the stripper, her husband, and an ape.
S1.E17 ∙ Simple Man
At the start of the trial of Lorenzo Escalante, husband of city councilor Mercedes, for the murder of their equally Cuban housemaid Carmen Abregon, Horatio delays testifying while the hastily summoned team urgently examines a new corps. It's Bonita Cruz, another Latina maid, recruited and shot in almost exactly the same way, only while Lorenzo was in police custody. It looks like a copy cat or an actual serial killer, but neither theory works out, while the trail leads to the Escalante's devoted attorney and friend, Carl Galaz.
S1.E18 ∙ Dispo Day
A drugs transport to incineration is attacked by a well-armed gang, but a woman shouting for help for her baby rather distracts Horatio and Speed, whose gun is jammed, but a bullet-proof vest saves his life. Only SWAT sergeant Hollis is killed, but as ballistics later establishes from a distant spot. Horatio finds the woman isn't the baby's mother, she was hired by a drugs gang. CSI is suspected of tipping them off, especially after Calleigh tests positive for cocaine, but Horatio traces that to a nearby spot suitable for the sniper. The fiends even left one of their own, badly wounded Lester Cassidy, behind to die in Paul Tomassi's workshop after consulting suspended MD Guillermo Santoyo.
S1.E19 ∙ Double Cap
The murder of a woman at a posh hotel has ties to the drug cartel, a bank robbery, and the witness protection program.
S1.E20 ∙ Grave Young Men
Ex-con Pete Wilton begs Horatio to use the skill that got him arrested to find his missing son Jeff. The knave is found to be a habitual marijuana user and fired over 200 bullets on the yard tree with mates Nick Gordon and Jared Hatch, calling themselves 4.20 boys. Pete forfeits his parole to cover for Jeff, but Horatio and Delko soon discover sinister indications in the boys' lockers, which turn out sadly prophetic, yet prevent an ultimate tragedy.
S1.E21 ∙ Spring Break
Two teenagers die during a Spring Break trip to the Miami beach.
S1.E22 ∙ Tinder Box
A crowded nightclub burns down, leaving many injured and dead. The ensuing investigation leads the detectives to suspect that the fire is not an accident.
S1.E23 ∙ Freaks and Tweaks
The body of a drug addict is found in a barn. Horatio, Eric and Tim investigate the scene and are nearly killed, when the place explodes. The case becomes personal to Horatio when one of the suspects claim to know Raymond Caine, his brother. Calleigh is working with Det. John Hagen on the case of a man shot dead to the heart in his car. The man turns out to be Alex's friend.
S1.E24 ∙ Body Count
Three prisoners break out of prison. One of them is a child molester, previously caught by the CSI team, who is looking for his new victim as the detectives race against time to stop him. Another is out to get revenge against the people who got him convicted, one of whom is detective Calleigh Duquesne.
S2.E1 ∙ Blood Brothers
The investigation of the murders of 2 young models hit a sudden stop when the two perpetrators have diplomatic immunity from the US government.
S2.E2 ∙ Dead Zone
The body of a man involved in recovering sunken treasure is discovered pinned to the wall of his new cabin cruiser by a spear fired from a spear gun at close range.
S2.E3 ∙ Hard Time
Maggots dropping down to the neighbor below from an apartment being renovated allow discovery of the body of Peg Donovan. Her skull was smashed with lumber, but she survived. Horatio's only logical suspect is Mason Shaw, who was convicted for raping her, and maybe planning from jail to prevent her testimony ruining his up-coming parole hearing. The team must find proof beforehand if he orchestrated everything from his Georgia prison somehow manipulating his own son - Chuck Shaw.
S2.E4 ∙ Death Grip
A young girl is kidnapped from her bedroom in the dead of night, and when an arm shows up without the body attached Horatio must determine if it belongs to his victim or a new one.
S2.E5 ∙ The Best Defense
The two young owners of a city bar are gunned down after hours and another man is wounded in the attack, which was allegedly committed by a masked gunman. Calleigh's dad announces he is now a public defender and needs her help with a murder case.
S2.E6 ∙ Hurricane Anthony
Three murder cases are investigated after Hurricane Anthony hit Miami.
S2.E7 ∙ Grand Prix
A fuel man lights up on fire during a race and burns to death despite wearing a fire-proof suit.

A man is found dead, his throat slit, in his office. Meanwhile, Raymond Caine's case is re-opened and eventually solved when Horatio Caine finds more evidence about the murder.

In the marina, a shark fatally bites Cindy Castiano, attracted by a bleeding earlier shot wound. She worked for P.I. Bruno Gomez to entrap wealthy men. So the suspects include victimized adulterers Carl Purdue, who as ruined and threatened her life, and Matthew Warner, who believes she loved him. Eric tries to pussyfoot after finding MPD detective Frank Tripp's fingerprints and his name on a client list.

The body of a young woman is dropped over railing. It appears that she has been dead prior to the fall.
S2.E11 ∙ Complications
A plastic surgeon is found dead, hanged in his own apartment. Meanwhile, a husband of his former patient, who died from complications during a routine surgery, is suing the clinic for the death of his wife.

The body of a teenage girl is lost during its transportation to the crime lab. Someone has bought the corpse.
S2.E13 ∙ Blood Moon
An ex-torturer who once worked for the government of Cuba is found dead, bound to a chair, showing signs of gruesome torture.

A slow burn in the Everglades that turns on itself yields a body different than the one Eric and Alexx were brought out for, and endangers their lives; Horatio thinks he's found a sexual predator, but now he must prove it.

A paparazzi's death leads the investigators to another death of a young woman.
S2.E16 ∙ Invasion
A masked man breaks in and trashes a house before shooting the father. The son is later found by the CSI team in a freezer.

A money van carrying $3.2 million is robbed. One of the two drivers is shot dead. Caine manages to track the stolen money, which turns out to be counterfeit.

A journalist witnesses a homicide and leaves the scene uninjured. The detectives, however, believe that there is more to this suspicious man.

A police officer literally drops down dead besides a car he pulled over.

A plane crashes on a beach because it was out of fuel. The pilot, however, was dead prior to the crash.

A rap concert is unceremoniously ended when a shot is fired by an unseen gunman. A body guard is instantly killed and the singer is wounded in his right arm.
S2.E23 ∙ MIA/NYC Nonstop
Examining the bloody murder of a Miami father and his wife, which the teenage daughter survived, Horatio's team soon finds trails to a car rented by a man who flew in from New York City. There Horatio teams up with his CSI counterpart Mac Taylor, who is examining a cop-killing, possibly by the same murderer. Together they follow him, work out what erroneously drove him to Miami and arrive at an analogous crime scene, where rich Michael Hanover and his wife were killed, badly stabbed adolescent son Mike Jr. The matter of key access suggests some involvement of the janitor.

A porn star is strangled to death. Evidence points to the owner of her studio as a primary suspect.
S3.E1 ∙ Lost Son
A boat crashes into a bridge. On it is a dead body of a man. He was killed while delivering ransom money to his son's kidnapper.
S3.E2 ∙ Pro Per
Horatio's attempt to protect the young witness of a drive-by boat shooting at a party may put Yelina's life at risk when the suspect finds out about the boy.
S3.E3 ∙ Under the Influence
A woman falls from the sidewalk and is hit by a speeding bus. She dies instantly. A hand-shaped bruise on her back convinces both Alexx and Horatio she was murdered. Horatio wants someone with no biases to work on the case and assigns the rookie Ryan to the case. Horatio just hired him because he is impressed by how clean Ryan's guns are. Calleigh's father thinks he may have killed someone while driving drunk.
S3.E4 ∙ Murder in a Flash
A group of teenagers gather at a golf course at a specified time. After the flash mob disperses, a body is found near the site. The CSIs follow the mob to a very prestigious prep school. They manage to trace the origin of the text messages telling the receivers to meet at the golf course to the son of one of Florida's most famous defense attorneys. At the same time, Horatio and Yelina are working to find the killer of a woman found in a dumpster.
S3.E5 ∙ Legal
A young girl is stabbed to death in a trendy night club. Jenny was an undercover investigative aide working for the Alcoholic Beverage Control. Her target was the club owner. As Horatio is questioning him, a loud noise draws him outside where a car speeds up and crashes into the door. The body at the back of the car leads the detectives to a spa where they suspect that there is something illegal going on.
S3.E6 ∙ Hell Night
The jury of a brutal murder of a woman visits the crime scene and a juror falls down with a seizure. After the initial chaos, the defendant, the victim's husband, is found dead with a knife stuck in the back of his head.
S3.E7 ∙ Crime Wave
An impending tsunami is the backdrop for a heist gone wrong and bodies keep stacking up as Horatio and his team struggle to pin down the man behind everything.
S3.E8 ∙ Speed Kills
After speed-dating 15 women, each 5 minutes, in a South Beach club, Richard Laken is found murdered in his vandalized car. The stylist date who poured the acetone -accessible in her trade- over it admits so, but did so well before the murder, so her story that Laken left early is believed. Indeed, the club's dates record shows Richard left after talking to Rebecca Briggs, who claims he was systematically using their information to commit robberies, but that proves to be the club manager's scam. However at least someone else in the club had a murder motive...
S3.E9 ∙ Pirated
After a just married couple finds 5 dead men while diving it looks like a ship has been pirated and Horatio and his team have yet another murder case.
S3.E10 ∙ After the Fall
A man is seen falling from an apartment building, yet the corpse found there is not his but Michael Johnson, a resident, who was deeply wounded by an unidentified round object. First subject is junkie Doug Ramsey, who is arrested by Horatio for probably abseiling to break in and steal the $100,000 heirloom ring of the condo owner, Edward Mathis, who is however found taking it back after its sale, insurance fraud. The wounding object is found, a CD recording kinky sex scenes of missing Donna Scott and reputedly strict criminal judge Isaac Greenhill, whose former court clerk is Mathis, who apparently blackmails him. Ramsay claims police abuse, IAB Sergeant Rick Stetler investigates Horatio, but Ramsay's X-rays... Speculating on a link with the judge's major cases, the team finds Donna's corps in a strangler's peat swamp dumping ground, with vomit which allows a DNA trace to Mathis, but Horatio now considers him a mere pawn...
S3.E11 ∙ Addiction
A husband and wife are carjacked and she later ends up dead and her husband is wounded. The husband is the oldest brother of a family that owns a very good business.
S3.E12 ∙ Shootout
A presumed retaliation shooting in an ER turns out to be a bit more complicated, and Ryan begins to suspect a mother of abusing her baby.
S3.E13 ∙ Cop Killer
During a routine traffic stop, a cop gets killed and the civilian who drove along with the cop is missing. Horatio and his team find out a 16-year old girl has got something to do with it.
S3.E14 ∙ One Night Stand
The team investigates the murder of a bellman at a hotel. A man asks Calleigh to look for his wife who is missing.
S3.E15 ∙ Identity
When a snake is tied to drug smuggling, DNA may be the key to Clavo Cruz's father's cooperation around diplomatic immunity. Ryan and Calleigh get caught up in an identity-theft case and linked murder.

Tobey Hollins is caught by the Miami Police Departement and is sent to prison for murder. Horatio has some doubts about Tobey's guilt, since some evidences clearly identify some one else as the murderer. Horatio and his team now try everything to disprove Tobey's guilt.
S4.E5 ∙ Three-Way
Pool employee Armando Diaz's bloodily battered corpse is found in Craig Seaborn's 5-star hotel Graciana's gardens. He was killed in the penthouse, where three wives had a 'husbands nor sex' weekend. Beth Jacobson admits she had sex with him, but when he called her too unattractive to get hard a fight ensued, so she struck him with a towel bar, thrice. He also had safe sex with Felicia Hardy, who claims she didn't realize he was badly wounded when passing out after hitting his head against the bed. Wolfe follows a third blood trail, to the staircase and more suspects. It must all be tied in. Meanwhile chief James Burton warns Horatio his team is under scrutiny, just now there are tensions about sticking up evidence kits, labor division and Wolfe's media ambitions, apparently paying off a TV reporter.
S4.E6 ∙ Under Suspicion
A killer who has it out for Horatio surfaces in Miami, and frames him for a murder.
S4.E7 ∙ Felony Flight
Henry Darius, a man who killed several women in New York, claims that he also killed a woman in Miami and offers to show them where he buried her. The plane transporting him suddenly has to make an emergency landing and Dairus escapes. He kills some people to get their car. Horatio learns that the plane was sabotaged and he thinks Darius had a hand in it. Horatio sends for New York Detective Mac Taylor who was the one who caught Darius. Horatio decides to look at the woman's disappearance again and discovers that the husband didn't tell him some things that could have helped him find his wife. Darius continues to go on a killing spree and Horatio learns that Darius is not the killer, so he has to find out how Darius knew about the woman.
S4.E8 ∙ Nailed
Ryan Wolfe, with a nail knocked next to his eye, is being carried to hospital by Delko. There, Horatio remembers how the day started, with the discovery of a murdered woman who was attacked by someone with a nails gun.
S4.E9 ∙ Urban Hellraisers
During an early morning trip to the bank, Delko ends up witnessing a robbery and fatally shooting one of the suspects. As the investigation progresses, Wolfe realizes that the robbers are trying to replicate a violent video game.
S4.E10 ∙ Shattered
When a drug dealer is gunned down in his home, Horatio and the team must determine who, out of three suspects, committed the crime. Meanwhile, Delko faces a serious threat to his career, and Calleigh makes a decision about hers.
S4.E11 ∙ Payback
New technology on DNA testing reveals that a man convicted of a rape six years back is innocent and he is promptly released. Now a free man, he is eager on pressing charges against the department and the crime lab for his false conviction. Meanwhile, Horatio and his team reopen the case in hope to catch the real rapist. In the morgue, Alexx examines the body of a young woman who died from infections caused by a piece of cloth left inside her after an operation. She is intent on finding the surgeon responsible for this untimely death.
S4.E12 ∙ The Score
A participant in a seminar on how to pick up women is found murdered after he's "closed the deal." Elsewhere, Marisol gets into trouble that affects the lab.
S4.E13 ∙ Silencer
Horatio and his team investigate a double murder at a concert, but unraveling the mystery becomes difficult when leads take them in two directions: the Mala Noche gang, and a pharmaceutical company.
S4.E14 ∙ Fade Out
The owner of a club is found hanging from a bridge, with two shots in his eyes and a joker card in his pocket. At first it looks like a Mafia work, but the suspects list drastically changes when the CSI team discovers that the murder is described in the script of an upcoming movie.
S4.E15 ∙ Skeletons
A trip to the beach for Eric Delko turns sour when a body is uncovered beneath the sand. The man was killed elsewhere and dumped here. Elsewhere, Horatio is certain that his old enemy from New York is back when two murders occur in Miami. He immediately contacts Jennifer Wilson whose parents were killed by the same murderer, Walter Resden, many years back when she was still a little girl.

The murder of a paroled pedophile leads the team to many suspects, one of them at the lab.

As a murder investigation becomes more complicated, Caine must ask Natalia to reveal something from her past in order to solve it.
