S1.E1 ∙ Welcome to the Jungle
The series premiere introduces twelve of the brightest up-and-coming special-effects make-up artists, who meet in Los Angeles for their first elimination challenge. Their task is to imagine an entirely new species - a human/animal hybrid - based on one of three exotic animals that are brought into their workspace lab.
S1.E2 ∙ Naked Ambition
In the second episode of Face Off, the artists must apply original full body make-up to nude subjects in the vein of Demi Moore's "Birthday Suit" cover for Vanity Fair.
S1.E3 ∙ Out of This World
For the spotlight challenge, the artists visit the famous Star Trek television series filming location, Vasquez Rocks, in Southern California. While there, they are given details on their next challenge from legendary FX artist Michael Westmore, best known for his make-up work in various Star Trek productions.
S1.E4 ∙ Bad to the Bone
The artists pay a visit to the backlot of Universal Studios and the iconic Psycho House, where they meet Sean Cunningham, director and producer of the original Friday the 13th.
S1.E5 ∙ Switched and Hitched
The contestants are divided into teams of two and challenged to transform a "bride" into a "groom" and a "groom" into a "bride".
S1.E6 ∙ The Dancing Dead
For this week's spotlight challenge, the contestants must craft an original zombie. Their design must not only be creative, it must be functional and able to withstand the rigors of performing a choreographed dance routine.
S1.E7 ∙ Family Plot
The families of the five remaining competitors are stationed in a local Los Angeles wig shop in order to play a part in this week's spotlight challenge.
S1.E8 ∙ Twisted Tales
In the final spotlight challenge, the remaining three contestants are assigned a classic fairy tale such as Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs.
S2.E1 ∙ Return to Oz
It's the men versus the women in a challenge to recreate four iconic characters from the classic book, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."
S2.E2 ∙ Water World
Contestants arrive at the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific and are asked to create sea creature makeups that can stay applied underwater.
S2.E3 ∙ Rock Your Body
Contestants are asked to create art worthy of hip-hop star Asher Roth's album cover, but are surprised to find out they'll be body-painting nude models. GUEST JUDGE: Asher Roth

S2.E5 ∙ Dangerous Beauty
Based on dangerous plants and animals, contestants must create a creature that is both beautiful and deadly. GUEST JUDGES: Vivica A. Fox and Being Human's Sam Huntington
S2.E6 ∙ Triple Threat
The contestants work in teams to complete old age make-ups on twins, but soon discover that their models are really triplets, and so the teams must devise new strategies to finish in time.

The contestants work with a special surprise client in order to create an original alien creature.
S2.E8 ∙ Burtonesque
Contestants are challenged to create a whimsical character that is worthy of appearing in a Tim Burton film.
S2.E9 ∙ Dinoplasty
Contestants visit the Los Angeles Natural History Museum where they are tasked with creating a human-dinosaur hybrid.
S2.E10 ∙ The Ultimate Spotlight Challenge
The remaining contestants are shocked to learn their final creations will be unveiled as part of a dance routine in front of a large audience. One competitor is named the series winner.
S3.E1 ∙ A Force to Be Reckoned With
Hollywood star Sean Astin welcomes the cast to season three, and the artists create original aliens for the classic Star Wars cantina scene.
S3.E2 ∙ Pirate Treasure
The artists create original pirate makeups, and in a Face Off first, compete to win their very own pirate's booty - $5,000 cash.
S3.E3 ∙ Year of the Dragon
The artists team up to create their own version of a traditional Chinese New Year dragon that will have to withstand the twists and turns of a spectacular acrobatic dance routine.
S3.E4 ∙ Alice in Zombieland
The artists are asked to create original zombie makeups based on classic characters from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
S3.E5 ∙ Supermobile
The artists team up in pairs and use amazing vehicles to inspire original superheroes and sidekicks. Writer and Director Kevin Smith guest judges.
S3.E6 ∙ Dishonorable Proportions
The artists are asked to create wildly distorted and exaggerated characters based on the new video game, Dishonored.
S3.E7 ∙ Monster Twist
The artists are surprised to find out that they'll be creating original movie monsters based on children's sketches, and a surprise twist changes the course of the entire season.
S3.E8 ∙ Who's the New Who?
The artists create original makeups inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Dr. Seuss classic, Sleep Book. Iconic producer Brian Grazer guest judges.
S3.E9 ∙ Junkyard Cyborg
The artists must source parts from a junkyard to create original cyborg makeups. Award-winning producer Gale Anne Hurd guest judges.
S3.E10 ∙ Scene of the Crime
The artists create original makeups based on the world of the hit NBC fantasy crime drama, Grimm. Grimm star Silas Weir Mitchell makes a special guest appearance.
S3.E11 ∙ Immortal Enemies
In their final Spotlight Challenge of the season, the three remaining artists are asked to create two Halloween-themed characters that must then perform in a spectacular choreographed stunt.

The crowning finale event of the season three finale of the hit reality competition series Face Off, broadcast live from Los Angeles, CA on Halloween night 2012 at 10 p.m. ET.

The artists work in teams of two to create their own parasitic aliens that burst out of their human hosts.
S10.E6 ∙ Death's Doorstep
The artists create whimsical ghost characters based on unique and comical obituaries.
S10.E7 ∙ The Gauntlet II
It's the return of the two most intimidating words in the competition: the Gauntlet. The eight remaining artists compete in a series of three challenges, with the winners of the first two challenges getting a night on the town and the bottom look from the final challenge heading home.
S10.E8 ∙ Smoke and Mirrors
The artists must transform beautiful, yet evil sorceresses into their hideous true selves in a twisted fantasy challenge.
S10.E9 ∙ Bottled Up
After transforming winged models into Valkyries for guest judge Douglas Noe in the Foundation Challenge, the artists create Genie makeups inspired by vessels. Guest judge Bill Corso helps series judges decide who stays and who goes home.
S10.E10 ∙ Keep One Eye Open
The remaining 5 artists must create a unique Cyclops character in this Focus Challenge. Actor Douglas Smith joins the panel as a Guest Judge.
S10.E11 ∙ The Art of Warcraft
The remaining artists venture into Azeroth, converting races from the World of Warcraft into realistic characters for the big screen. On stage, "Warcraft" film star Robert Kazinsky joins the judging panel.
S10.E12 ∙ Skull Island: Reign of Kong
In their last challenge before the finale, each artist selects a species from the "Skull Island: Reign of Kong" Universal Orlando attraction and re-imagines its evolution into an intelligent being.

The finalists learn that they will each be creating makeups for films adapted from a horror anthology collected by none other than famed director and producer Jason Blum.

In a first, the artists are divided into two make-up effects shop. First assignment: design a werewolf pack.
