Rachel decides to treat herself to a spin in Carl's vintage police car and promptly gets into a minor accident. Can she repair the damaged front fender before Carl gets home to drive it in a Columbus Day parade ... knowing that she was not to drive the car in the first place?

Carl wants to build a bathroom for Mother Winslow. Ignoring Harriette's plea to call a contractor to do the work properly, Carl recruits Eddie in an inept attempt to renovate one of the unused rooms downstairs.

Carl and his attractive new partner, Vanessa, are involved in a stake-out in a hotel room. Harriette worries (over nothing, as it turns out) that Carl will put aside his professionalism and try to woo Vanessa.
S1.E10 ∙ False Arrest
Carl is working security at a television station where Buddy Goodrich, an actor, tapes a hit show that the rest of the Winslow family loves to watch. Carl asks him to move his car from a front of a fire lane, where he illegally parked, and finds out that the "real" Buddy Goodrich is rude and arrogant. Buddy assaults Carl, taking a swing at him. Carl arrests him. When his family finds out, they believe he was in the wrong and ignore him, and urges him to apologize to Buddy. It is only after Buddy Goodrich visits Carl at his home, unbeknownst to both of them, the rest of the Winslows overhear the conversation in which Buddy admits what he did and tries to bribe Carl, saying he will have have his assistant lie at the hearing, that the Winslow family sees him for the type of person he is. Buddy is thrown out of the house.
S1.E11 ∙ The Quilt
Estelle shows off an heirloom quilt that's been in the Winslow family for more than 200 years. Despite being told not to sell the quilt at the family's garage sale, Laura accidentally does so when a museum curator offers $200 for it. Laura then goes all out to get the quilt back, using a tearful speech to soften up the stubborn curator. Estelle is impressed and lets Laura keep the quilt until it's her turn to pass it down a generation.
S1.E12 ∙ Laura's First Date
The episode that ensured "Family Matters'" success. It all began with Laura bemoaning her inability to get a date with cute classmate Mark for the school dance. Eddie and Carl make well-meaning attempts to set Laura up with someone. It is Carl who - in a decision he'd live to regret - sets his daughter up with Steven Q. Urkel. The quintessential nerd drives everyone batty just being himself. Even though Laura eventually gets over her shyness and asks Mark out, Urkel decides to stay until 10 p.m. - the earliest his folks want him home - and makes himself at home!
S1.E13 ∙ Man's Best Friend
Man's best friend isn't a dog, at least in Carl's eyes, when a stray pooch follows the kids home. Carl wants to get rid of the dog, but his feelings begin to change when the dog scares off unwelcome visitor Urkel. Carl soon becomes attached to the dog, but it isn't long before the canine disrupts the family routine.
S1.E14 ∙ Baker's Dozen
Carl's lemon tarts - made using a secret recipe - is a big hit with Rachel's church group. One of her friends is a restaurant manager who wants to buy dozens of the tarts. Carl agrees to turn the kitchen into a makeshift bakery ... and with less than 24 hours to fulfill the contract, the results are disastrous.
S1.E15 ∙ The Big Reunion
Carl tries to lose some weight in time for an upcoming class reunion, where he is expected to perform with his high school band.
S1.E16 ∙ The Party
Carl leaves Eddie in charge of the household while the adults go on an overnight trip. There's one major rule: No guests allowed! Eddie obeys at first, but then Rodney comes over to deliver pizza. Then two pretty girls show up ... and things quickly spiral into a huge house party that Eddie quickly loses control over. Rival football players even play football with Urkel! Only when Carl and Harriette arrive home early does everything calm down ... that is, until Urkel utters from inside the sofa, "Party of the year!"
S1.E17 ∙ The Big Fix
Eddie's flunking algebra and has nowhere else to turn but math-whiz Urkel. Urkel agrees to help Edd-o on one condition: He gets a date with Laura. And just so he'll get what he wants, he takes Eddie's Prince concert tickets for collateral. Laura reluctantly agrees to go with Urkel on a "non-date," which goes just as one would expect. In the end, Harriette assures Laura that Urkel is well satisfied - and then the phone rings!
S1.E18 ∙ Sitting Pretty
Seeking a promotion, Carl invites no-nonsense Capt. Davenport over for dinner. Simple enough, except he doesn't know that Laura - who has opened a baby-sitting service - is looking after dozens of crazy children. Carl is sure his promotion (not to mention job) is down the drain, especially when Capt. Davenport is a little tied up thanks to the kids. But things turn out OK when Capt. Davenport moans, "You ruined the game" and admits he loves children.
S1.E19 ∙ In a Jam
A bully named Bull Watson terrorizes Urkel into giving up his lunch money. Urkel wants Eddie to stick up for him, but gets no sympathy. That is, Rodney witnesses Urkel sticking up for himself and Bull threatening him with serious injury if he refuses to hand over his lunch money. After going to Carl for some advice, Eddie decides to fight Bull ... and easily defeats him.
S1.E20 ∙ The Candidate
Eddie is persuaded to run for class president vs. Margie Flatman. Rodney - and later, Laura - decide that a campaign of style is better than substance, but Eddie eventually sees that Margie is simply more qualified for the job than he is and drops out.
S1.E22 ∙ Rock Video
Eddie decides to enter a contest to create a music video, but his ego proves to be too much for the rest of the band, and they all decide to abandon him.
S2.E1 ∙ Rachel's Place
Rachel opens a restaurant when a neighborhood hangout burns down.
S2.E2 ∙ Torn Between Two Lovers
Rachel opens up Rachel's Place, the new teen hangout (in place of the burned-out Leroy's). She also has her eye on her loan officer, Steve Webster, then begins talking about him around the house. Urkel overhears Rachel's conversation about treating Webster to a candlelight dinner ... and jumps to the conclusion that Rachel has her eye on him. Urkel dons his best threads, and although Rachel is flattered, she finds she needs to clear up this misunderstanding.
S2.E3 ∙ Marriage 101
The subject in home economics class at school: marriage. Laura wants to be paired with any number of cute guys in her class for a project about marriage ... but winds up with Urkel instead. Urkel goes above and beyond what it takes to be a good husband, but winds up angering Laura when she feels smothered by his constant attention. Laura asks for some sympathy from her mother, but Harriette just wishes Carl would pay half as much attention to her as Urkel does Laura.
S2.E4 ∙ Flashpants
Carl's dealing with a back that's killing him, and a rival officer named Charlie who has a monster ego. So when the precinct's annual dance contest approaches, Carl and partner Harriette decide to teach Charlie a lesson or two in humility.
S2.E5 ∙ The Crash Course
An unlicensed Eddie wants to impress girlfriend Jolene with his driving skills ... and winds up crashing the car through the front of the house! When Carl demands an explanation, Urkel takes the fall, only to find that his parents are so outraged that they decide to send him off to military school. Will Urkel get to finish giving Laura his classic farewell speech before Eddie admits what really happened?

S2.E7 ∙ Dog Day Halloween
A Halloween costume-bedecked Urkel and Laura are hostages during a bank robbery. Urkel fantasizes about saving Laura and subduing the criminal, but things don't quite work out that way. Carl, meanwhile, is able to apprehend the subject, leaving a downtrodden Urkel to realize he can never impress Laura by being a hero who saves the day.

Laura and Eddie are involved in a prank war which includes Steve and Myrtle Urkel being in the middle of their dispute.
S2.E9 ∙ Dedicated to the One I Love
In order to give herself some space, Laura attempts to convince Steve to point his affections in the direction of a shy girl at school.
S2.E10 ∙ The Science Project
Laura enlists Urkel's help for a science project, despite Estelle's stern warnings against it. Laura falls asleep and has the weirdest dream: Urkel made an atomic bomb ... and sets it off, blowing Chicago off the map.
S2.E11 ∙ Requiem for an Urkel
When a school bully threatens to physically harm anyone who dares to take Laura out on a date, Steve takes a stand for the girl he loves.
S2.E12 ∙ Fast Eddie Winslow
Eddie, Rodney and Urkel wander into an adults-only billiards hall, where a friendly yokel named Higgins decides to challenge Eddie to a friendly bet over a game of pool. Eddie quickly finds he's taking on a pool shark and loses a lot of money. Higgins warns him to pay up, or his family could suffer some brutal consequences. Eddie - who doesn't have the skills to match Higgins - decides instead to try to win back his bet and enlists Urkel to help him. Urkel is about to win when Higgins' cronies interfere; when Urkel complains about the cheating, the thugs decide to take him away to be killed ... but Carl and Estelle - who find out about Eddie's situation - arrive to sink the 8-ball on Higgins' pool-hustling career.
S2.E13 ∙ Have Yourself a Very Winslow Christmas
Urkel's parents decide to leave him home alone for Christmas. The Winslows decide to extend some holiday spirit and invite their nerdy neighbor over on Christmas Eve. Everyone's shocked to learn Urkel still believes in Santa Claus, but who was it that delivered that Freddy Teddy that Richie's been wanting?
S2.E14 ∙ Ice Station Winslow
Carl drags Eddie along on an ice fishing trip to Lake Wannamuck. Tempers are already on thin ice between the two Winslow men, and their patience grows even shorter when Urkel shows up (and promptly becomes an ace at fishing). But he saves the day when Carl falls through the ice, making a shaken Eddie realize that he easily might no longer have had a father to argue with had things turned out differently. Meanwhile, Judy is upset that Richie is being lavished with attention.
S2.E15 ∙ Son
What promises to be an ugly father-son feud escalates into a huge quarrel over house rules between Carl and Eddie. When Carl threatens to ground Eddie, the younger Winslow decides he doesn't have to take any more and plans to move out. Harriette decides to mediate the feud and settle both of them down before something really bad happens.
S2.E16 ∙ Do the Right Thing
Carl and Urkel struggle with their consciences in separate situations. Carl finds (and wants to keep) a diamond necklace that's extremely valuable but knows it might belong to someone; Urkel is asked to tutor Laura's current boyfriend, Todd, who is struggling to maintain his academic eligibility and remain eligible to date the lovely Winslow girl.
S2.E17 ∙ High Hopes
With Rachel's help, Harriette wins a radio call-in contest and nabs the grand prize: a new car. But just who deserves the car more becomes a major sore point between the sisters, leading to a huge argument. Carl isn't there to intervene; the acrophobic Winslow - the butt of jokes at the precinct when he was unable to foil a robbery because of his fear of heights - finds himself in the worst possible situation, thanks to Urkel: high in the sky in a hot-air balloon, with no way to get down. However, Carl is able to save the day when Urkel nearly falls out of the balloon.
S2.E18 ∙ Life of the Party
At Maxine's rooftop party, Urkel shows everyone how to "Do the Urkel." But it may be his last hurrah; Willie Fuffner, his pride still stung from losing to him during a boxing match several weeks earlier, offers Urkel a peace offering - a glass of punch. Only he doesn't tell him it's spiked with whiskey. A drunken Urkel staggers around the rooftop, which is good for a few yuks ... until he tumbles off the side of the roof and finds himself clinging to a clothesline for dear life. Rachel manages to save the day, and Willie and his buddy, the dim-witted Waldo Faldo, find themselves in jail.
S2.E19 ∙ Busted
For the second time in a matter of weeks, Eddie's unlicensed driving (all to impress the chicks) gets him in trouble again when he dents the family car. Eddie knows he'll be in hot water if Carl finds out, but Urkel's suggestion - visiting Ma's Bakery, which is the front for an underground casino - could land him in even deeper trouble.
S2.E20 ∙ Fight the Good Fight
During Black History Month, Laura and Urkel hope their fellow students will gain appreciation for other cultures and races with a new class. But all they get is a bunch of threats from a few racist classmates. Laura breaks down in tears and feels sorry for herself, but Estelle's story behind her first library card gives her new inspiration.
S2.E21 ∙ Taking Credit
Rachel tells Richie and Judy stories about Carl and Eddie to teach a lesson about taking credit. Carl and Lt. Murtaugh are involved in an operative to uncover a smuggling ring. Even though Murtaugh nearly blows the undercover scheme, Carl is able to take the criminals into custody and gives his partner credit for setting up the sting. Meanwhile, Eddie struggles with a writing assignment in class and turns to Urkel for help. Urkel ghost writes a really great story and Eddie is ready to take the credit ... until he is asked to produce more stories.
S2.E22 ∙ Finding the Words
An elderly man named Jimmy visits the Winslows, claiming to be the family's long-lost friend. But the shock really sets in when Harriette and Rachel realize that Jimmy is actually their estranged father.
S2.E23 ∙ Skip to My Lieu
Carl is hoping to get a promotion, but it may ride on Lt. Murtaugh's influence - and his ability to get the smart-mouthed lieutenant a date with a less-than-willing Rachel, who is already fed up with his borderline sexual harassment.
S2.E24 ∙ The Good, the Bad, and the Urkel
Carl - embroiled in a dispute with Urkel's father - has a dream about he, his family and Urkel living in the Old West. There, the dispute over a compost heap - this time, with Two-Gun Urkel, the most annoying gunslinger in the West - grows heated and results in a shoot-out. Urkel loses, and everyone refuses to accept Carl's plea for forgiveness.
S2.E25 ∙ I Should Have Done Something
Carl's irate demeanor has everything to do with the fast-approaching one-year anniversary of a hostage situation gone horribly wrong. He is still shaken over not doing that one thing that could have stopped a convenience store robber from killing his elderly hostage. A chance meeting with the victim's widow - she had sent her husband out for ice cream on the night of his death - helps Carl realize that nobody (except the robber) is at fault for her husband's tragic death.
S3.E2 ∙ Brain Over Brawn
It's brains vs. brawn in a rope-climbing contest, as scrawny Urkel competes against loud-mouthed jock Alex for the rights to capture Laura's affections. Urkel knows he can't win the conventional way, so he devises a jet pack to help ensure his victory.
S3.E3 ∙ The Show Must Go On
Laura wins the female lead role in the school production of "Romeo and Juliet," and looks forward to the kissing scene with her Romeo, Daniel Wallace. Then Daniel falls ill and the understudy - who else but Urkel - takes his place. Thanks to Urkel's clumsiness and being himself, the play turns out to be a disaster.
S3.E4 ∙ Words Hurt
Urkel repeatedly sleepwalks into the Winslows' bedroom to belt Carl over the head with a newspaper. Harriette gets an annoyed Carl to call over a hypnotist to see what's behind Urkel's behavior ... and Harriette is more than a little disturbed by the findings. Turns out Carl had yelled at him after the nerd accidentally broke his ship-in-a-bottle, then - unaware that he was listening in - told Laura he wished he'd go away for good. Carl eventually realizes he needs to apologize.
S3.E5 ∙ Daddy's Little Girl
It's a case of puppy love for Laura when she falls head over heels for Carl's new rookie partner, Officer Mike Doyle. Carl's remarks about Laura playing grown-up - in front of Mike - don't go over too well.
S3.E6 ∙ Citizen's Court
Urkel annoys Carl with his prized Peruvian beetle. The bug gets loose and a spooked Carl kills it, to Urkel's horror. When Carl refuses to pay for the expensive bug, Urkel decides to see if a television small claims court judge agrees that it was more than "just a stupid bug."
S3.E7 ∙ Robo-Nerd
Urkel creates a robot named after himself. But the robot soon develops a mind of its own and - after trapping its inventor in the closet - poses as the nerd and invites Laura over ... so it can have her all to itself.
S3.E8 ∙ Making the Team
Urkel and Laura are in the same boat as equipment manager for the basketball team and underclassman cheerleader, respectively. Urkel's talents on the court seem to go unnoticed by the coach ... until he is the only available team member left who hasn't become injured or fouled out; he winds up being instrumental in his team's winning rally. In Laura's case, she has to deal with snotty team captain Cassie Lynn, who insists on running the squad her way, even though her clichéd cheers aren't going over too well. Laura's cheers, however, really spark some crowd enthusiasm.
S3.E9 ∙ Born to Be Mild
A street gang named the Dragons begin causing trouble at Rachel's Place, breaking things and sexually harassing employees; Carl arrives just in time to chase them out. That night, after closing time, the gang breaks in and heavily vandalizes the teen hangout. Everyone's anger grows when a bruised and bloodied Eddie arrives, announcing he was ambushed by the Dragons' gang members. Carl wants to take matters into his own hands, but Urkel reminds him that if he were to do that, he'd only destroy much more than his career. Urkel eventually agrees to go undercover as a prospective gang member and trick them into confessing their recent activities.
S3.E10 ∙ The Love God
Urkel tutors a pretty girl named Vonda, a girl whom Eddie is looking forward to asking out. When she passes a test, Vonda comes on to the nerd, prompting him to conclude she has an easy reputation. Urkel helps set her straight, which is good for her ... but definitely not what Eddie was hoping for. Meanwhile, Carl is the butt of Lt. Murtaugh's jokes when he is asked to wear drag for a drug sting.
S3.E11 ∙ Old and Alone
Urkel tries to tell Laura that potential boyfriend Daniel Wallace is bad news. Thinking his attempts to meddle in her life have risen to a new level, Laura tells Urkel never to speak to him again. Harriette finds out and warns Laura that she may not only regret her words, but that she'll surely grow "old and alone." That night, Laura has a dream whereby she is an elderly spinster while 90-year-old Urkel is married to a beautiful woman.
S3.E12 ∙ A Pair of Ladies
Urkel joins in on Carl's poker night, only for Lt. Murtaugh to take quick advantage and clean out the nerd. Eventually, Urkel gets his revenge by cleaning out the hustling, loud-mouthed lieutenant. Meanwhile, Harriette offers to help understaffed Rachel at Rachel's Place, but Rachel takes her sister's well-meant suggestions the wrong way.
S3.E13 ∙ Choir Trouble
Rachel becomes choir director at her church and soon drives everyone crazy with her micromanagement. She also unknowingly tests recent born-again Christian Urkel's faith when he wants to join the choir, despite his (decidedly) off-key vocal abilities. Estelle eventually sets Rachel straight
S3.E14 ∙ A Test of Friendship
Eddie doesn't study for a chemistry test and convinces Urkel to help him cheat (by pretending to have a cold). When Urkel really does have a cold, he is caught giving Eddie the answers and - when he keeps mum about who he was helping to cheat - is threatened with expulsion. Meanwhile, Carl becomes the laughingstock of the precinct when he literally sleeps through a house burglary (thanks to the crooks using sleeping gas). One night, when Eddie and Urkel were confessing their misdeed to Carl, they fall asleep again - only for Harriette and Rachel to nab the burglars in the act. Eddie and Urkel eventually have to re-take the test.
S3.E15 ∙ Jailhouse Blues
Harriette's troubled cousin, Clarence, comes to live with the Winslows until he can straighten out. Instead of deciding to fly right, Clarence becomes a bad influence on Eddie and gets him and Urkel into big trouble when they are caught with a bunch of pretty girls ... and a stolen car! Eddie confesses and realizes he shouldn't have listened to Clarence, whom Harriette quickly becomes fed up with and kicks out of the house.
S3.E16 ∙ Brown Bombshell
Estelle wants to share the stories of her late fighter-pilot husband and World War II's Tuskegee Airmen with her family, but nobody is interested. She decides that Eddie's American history class may be more willing to listen (particularly Eddie, after he sees how cool his grandfather was).
S3.E17 ∙ Food, Lies and Videotape
A variety of situations involving the gang and home-ec class: Urkel can't cook a lick (and of course causes plenty of accidents); snotty Cassie Lynn finds she can't always be a cover girl all the time; and Waldo learns he may just be good at something after all.
S3.E18 ∙ My Broken-Hearted Valentine
Urkel again tries to intervene in Laura's budding romance with Daniel Wallace, whom the nerd has learned is nothing but trouble. Laura believes Urkel is meddling in her love life and tells him to go away. Then Daniel sneaks into Laura's room and, when he tries to kiss her and she pushes him away, he calls her a baby - just like Urkel had warned. Eventually, Daniel is chased away and a shaken Laura breaks down in her parents' arms.
S3.E19 ∙ Woman of the People
Laura runs against Cassie Lynn for class president. Cassie Lynn is determined to win any way she can - even if it means publishing photos of Laura and Urkel caught in a compromising situation (he actually was trying to brace Laura, who had fallen from a ladder). So, Urkel decides to fight fire with fire.
S3.E20 ∙ Love and Kisses
Urkel convinces R&B singer Johnny Gill to serenade Laura in the Winslow's living room. Meanwhile, Carl and Harriette try to enjoy their second honeymoon at a resort that's a little too cold for comfort.
S3.E21 ∙ Stop in the Name of Love
Laura had enough problems trying to give Urkel the brush-off. Now, Waldo is the one who's head over heels in love with the Winslow girl ... especially after she tried to encourage down-on-his-luck Waldo.
S3.E22 ∙ The Urkel Who Came to Dinner
Urkel is invited to stay with the Winslows when the nerd's parents go out of town ... and quickly causes plenty of chaos. He drives Laura's study partner away, convinces Richie to get into a fight with a preschool bully, and accidentally vacuums up Lt. Murtaugh's fish that Carl was baby-sitting.
S3.E23 ∙ Robo-Nerd II
A reprogrammed Urkelbot is sent to fight crime, and proves to be instrumental in foiling a serial convenience store robber. Meanwhile, the women find (to their horror) that a new shampoo has caused them to go bald.
S3.E24 ∙ Dudes
Urkel, Eddie and Waldo go on the teen dating show "Dudes," which Laura insists is raunchy and sexist. Urkel easily wins a date with one of the female contestants, but instead uses his live TV opportunity to reaffirm his love for Laura.
S3.E25 ∙ Farewell, My Laura
Urkel composes a detective yarn about 1940s-era gumshoe Johnny Danger, who is sent to protect supper club owner (and assassin target) Rachel.
S4.E1 ∙ Surely You Joust
Feuding neighbors Urkel and Carl decide to settle things on "American Gladiators."
S4.E2 ∙ Dance to the Music
Urkel helps popular jock Ted Curran break the ice with homecoming queen nominee Laura.
S4.E3 ∙ Driving Carl Crazy
"3-2-1, 1-2-3, what the heck is bothering me?" That's the advice Carl decides to heed as he tries to deal with stress-related high blood pressure. But will the tip work when Urkel - who shows off his new BMW Isetta to the Winslows - asks the cop to help him learn to drive?
S4.E4 ∙ Rumor Has It
Rumors fly around school that Laura and Ted had sex on their date. Urkel confronts Ted and his buddies, but gets shoved into his locker, then Laura refuses to believe the nerd when he warns her about the rumors. When Maxine's story about the rumors match Urkel's, Laura decides she needs to salvage her new "easy" reputation and get the truth out in the open.
S4.E5 ∙ Number One with a Bullet
Urkel and Carl are forced to share the same hospital room, when the nerd suffers from appendicitis and the cop wounded while trying to foil a robbery.
S4.E6 ∙ Whose Kid Is It Anyway?
Eddie is told to take Richie trick-or-treating, but it interferes with a hot date. Richie gets lost after Waldo is asked to take him instead. When Eddie finds out, he goes on a frantic search to find the little tyke before everyone else finds out.
S4.E7 ∙ An Officer and a Waldo

Of course, Urkel, Eddie and Waldo wind up causing a whole lot of hijinks and get on the wrong side of a tough drill sergeant before they can talk things out. Meanwhile, Carl and Harriette deal with a shady repairman.

Meanwhile, a sleep-famished Laura is determined to study for her SATs and get into Harvard Law School, so she gets Urkel to stand in for her while she sneaks off to the library. Laura eventually sees that her desire to get a perfect score is endangering her health.

When Ted and Laura become tired of Urkel interfering in their relationship, they decide to set him up with a girlfriend of his own - the beautiful Myra Monkhouse. The foursome head off to a Dave Koz concert, where Urkel enlists the jazz saxophonist to help him redouble his resolve to win Laura's heart. Meanwhile, usher Waldo tries to sort out in his mind what various female celebrities new names would be if they were to remarry!

Myra goes to Urkel's school for a visit, and later accuses Laura of trying to steal him away. An annoyed Laura tries to convince Myra otherwise, but things break down into a huge food fight. Meanwhile, Carl feels he has lost his romantic touch and invests in a toupee.

Laura oversleeps on the morning of a huge cheerleading competition in Cincinnati and gets Urkel to drive her there. When Laura causes the nerd's BMW Isetta to break down, the two are forced to share a hotel room. Normally in a situation like this, you'd think Urkel would take advantage of the situation, but he's the one that gets irked when Laura plays the blame game.
S5.E3 ∙ Saved by the Urkel
Carl nearly fatally shocks himself when he refuses to heed Urkel's advice to unplug a lamp while repairing it. Urkel is the only one who knows CPR and uses his knowledge to save Carl's life. Everyone then showers the nerd with gratitude, and Eddie, Laura and Waldo are inspired to learn CPR.
S5.E4 ∙ A Matter of Principle
Harriette puts her job as head of security at the Chicago Chronicle on the line when she debates whether to cut her security staff as part of budget reductions. Meanwhile, Myra transfers to Urkel's school to be closer to him, and gets some ill advice from Eddie and Laura on how to capture the nerd's heart.

Urkel's trip to rouge dentist Dr. Smiley (to reassure a scared Richie) takes a back seat to a terrifying racial profiling incident involving Eddie. He comes home claiming that a traffic stop for a turn signal violation turned out to be much more when the officers accuse him of being "a black person in a white person's neighborhood." Carl is certain Eddie is trying to cover up for more late-night carousing, but when he gets the other side of the story from the officers involved, he learns the whole ugly incident exactly matches Eddie's side. Carl is very angry and, after telling the senior officer he will be reported, tells the younger officer to re-examine his attitudes. Carl then realizes he needs to apologize to Eddie.

A huge explosion rocks the school's science lab, and accident prone Urkel is blamed. His academic future rides on defense attorney Laura's shoulders, but she must find a way to match wits with a rival student who is determined - too determined - to have Urkel expelled.

Urkel decides to renovate his Stefan Urquelle alter-ego, inventing a transformation chamber to do the trick. Stefan is much more likable this time, but just like the last time, the formula soon wears off and the suave ladies man is soon his old irksome, nerdy self. Urkel declares that he will find a way to make Stefan permanent ... and win Laura's heart once and for all.

Steve transforms back into Stefan to please Laura. When Carl has problems with his eyesight, Eddie convinces him to use Steve's transformation machine but something goes wrong.

Meanwhile, Myra thinks Urkel and Laura are sneaking around together when they keep mum about their whereabouts ... only to learn they were planning a surprise party for her birthday.

The seventh-season opener, a parody of "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," sees Urkel's transformation chamber going berzerk. The nerd and flustered foil Carl are shrunk to two inches tall, and as a result must work together to dodge hazards such as rolling fruit and large house cats.
S7.E2 ∙ The Naked and the Nerdy
Urkel and Laura accidentally meet in the bathroom, both of them stark naked! The two must deal with their emotions from this embarrassing meeting. Carl, meanwhile, does a favor for a neighbor and keeps hold of a watch (intended as an anniversary gift for the neighbor's wife), but Harriette thinks the gift is for her.
S7.E3 ∙ Bugged
Steve meets a gorgeous bug collector named Agnes Prizker and fantasizes about kissing her, which he does by accident. However, he reminds himself that he's in a relationship with Myra and goes to Laura about it. She encourages him to tell his girlfriend about it. Should he dare tell Myra the truth about what happened? Meanwhile, Carl reluctantly allows Nick Neidermeyer to join in his poker night with his buddies, per Harriette's recommendation. She immediately regrets her decision in letting her selfish boss join in and tells him off. She even goes as far as daring him to fire her. He admitted that he would fire her if he wasn't transferred to the automotive department. She and Carl kicks Nick out of their house. Later on, they have a good time playing poker with his buddies.
S7.E4 ∙ Teacher's Pet
In his teacher's absence, Urkel is asked to be substitute teacher of his English class. The other students take quick advantage of the situation and drive the nerd to the breaking point. Urkel responds by transforming himself into Stefan, who in the alter ego is able to gain control of the class.
S7.E5 ∙ Walking My Baby Back Home
Greta lands in hot water with her father when Eddie brings her back after her curfew. When he won't allow her to see him again, Greta decides to buck her father's order by making him think she's dating Urkel (who is actually Eddie's gofer). Meanwhile, Estelle is being audited by the Internal Revenue Service, but Carl's attempts to fix the situation only uncover his own problems with the taxman.

While Urkel is visiting Russia for a few weeks, guess who's back? Myrtle Urkel, who is hungrier than ever for Eddie. However, Greta stands in the way.

Urkel warns Laura not to ride in Curtis' car because of his reckless driving habits. Curtis is annoyed and eventually, the two challenge each other to a winner-take-all drag race.

Carl's "bah humbug" attitude puts a damper on Urkel's plans to decorate the house for Christmas ... until the nerd announces that there's a contest for best light display and that there are prizes. While Urkel is working on a cloning experiment with his transformation chamber, the contraption goes kablooey. The aftermath has Urkel cloned, creating double trouble for the Winslow household! Laura decides to make lemons out of lemonade and suggests that one of the clones be made into a permanent Stefan.
S8.E1 ∙ Paris Vacation: Part 1
Steve, Stefan and the Winslow family spends a vacation at Paris with his Urk-Pad after accidentally sending Carl in place of cheese to his pen pal, Nicole. All is not well when they first arrive, Eddie accidentally damages the café that his parents were eating at and is forced to work there to pay off the damages. Then Nicole is blackmailed by her opportunist cousin, Gilbert to get the plans of the Urk-Pad. Meanwhile Stefan looks to Steve and asks him to help him build his family tree (per Laura's recommendation). The nerd not only helps him build his using the Urkel family tree, but he also admitted that he created Stefan for a lot of things he wanted to be in his life. Stefan admitted that he wasn't a smart guy, but does come close.
S8.E2 ∙ Paris Vacation: Part 2
Stefan poses as a model for a French version of Coca-Cola and decided that modeling is his career choice. He makes his successful debut in the runway show. Meanwhile, Steve is taken with Nicole to Gilbert where he learns about her cousin's intentions to get filthy rich.
S8.E3 ∙ Paris Vacation: Part 3
Steve is held hostage in the opera house and Glibert gives him an ultimatum, either build him an Urk Pad of his own or else. The nerd reluctantly gives in to his demands and builds him the Urk Pad of his own. He's upset with his pen pal for her involvement with her cousin and her betrayal of her word to keep his invention discreet. Then Nicole reveals that she is sorry for what she did and explains why Gilbert has been blackmailing her for some time. He wanted to make a fortune off Steve's invention and will stop at nothing to get his own way. After that, she warns him that when the pad is complete her cousin and his gang will kill him. Steve completes the pad on time and teleport to the hotel to enlist Carl's help to stop Gilbert. Meanwhile, Stefan decides that he needs to go to Milan to pursue his career. Eddie is finally able to talk to the French girl that he likes.
S8.E4 ∙ Movin' On
Steve finally attends the college he wants to go to MIT and fits in very well there. Quickly, he starts missing Myra's company right away and transfers to her college to be with her.
S8.E5 ∙ 3J in the House
When 3J goes missing from the orphanage, the Winslows tries to find him. They are unaware that Richie is secretly housing him in the attic and begs Steve not to tell anyone about it. The truth is later revealed by the nerd as he uses one of his devices and finds 3J in the attic. Carl and Harriete adopts him when they reveal that they care about his well being. Meanwhile, Laura starts dating around with Curtis to take her mind off of missing Stefan who is in Milan.
S8.E6 ∙ Getting Buff
When Steve tells Eddie that Greta has been posing nude in his art class, he explodes in anger. He demands that she never poses nude again and she responds by not seeing him anymore. As he begins to miss Greta, Laura sets her idiot brother straight by telling him that her father gave her an ultimatum "Either stop seeing Eddie or Be cut off without a cent". She chose to keep dating him and she struggled ever since. Later on, he apologized to her for his yelling, not realizing why she taking the job as a nude model. Meanwhile, Nick and Carl's feud with each other takes a turn for the worst and it isn't long until Harriette sets them straight again.
S8.E7 ∙ Stevil
A ventriloquist's dummy, which looks exactly like Urkel, comes to life and terrorizes the Winslows and Steve must stop it.
S8.E8 ∙ Karate Kids
A street gang takes over the local park to deal drugs and play rap music, only to be confronted with 'Karate-Kid' variants of Urkel, Richie and 3J.
S8.E9 ∙ Home Again
Steve has received six free tickets to see New Edition's Home Again tour because he knows Johnny Gill. He, Eddie and their dates attend with Laura to the concert. To their shock and excitement, New Edition, calls out Stefan onto the stage and she's excited to see him again. Meanwhile, Richie and 3J feel bad about having Carl and Harriette staying with them because they knew that they wanted to go to the concert. Both kids pull some strings with Steve to have New Edition perform at the house.
S8.E10 ∙ Nightmare at Urkel Oaks
Eddie Winslow, after finding out Myrtle Urkel is rich, dreams that Big Daddy Urkel offers to pay Eddie $10 million to marry his daughter, Myrtle, at Urkel Oaks in Biloxi, Mississippi. His girlfriend, Greta is going to make sure that the wedding doesn't happen because she knows it's a farce.
S8.E11 ∙ Chick-a-Boom
Myra inadvertently sprinkles Urkel's mini fireworks on stuffed chickens she made for dinner in an effort to help Carl impress his boss.
S8.E12 ∙ The Jury
Steve must prove a defendant innocent when he and Carl serve on a jury together.
S8.E13 ∙ It Came Upon a Midnight Clear
Steve and Carl heads out into the woods to get a Christmas tree. The nerd annoys him by rejecting some of the trees until he snapped and tells him they are taking this tree. After they cut it, the were trying to hurry back before the snow got really heavy. Unfortunately, it obliterated their tracks and they end it lost. While sitting by the fire, Steve and Carl apologizes and bond. Then the nerd is able to use the constellation to get them home. Meanwhile, Eddie and the rest of the family are exchanging gifts until Harriette tells them Stefan is here. Laura finally calls it quits with Curtis and stays with her current boyfriend. Her ex-boyfriend angry and warns Urquelle if he hurts Laura in a matter he hates, he will pay for it. Stefan tells him that he won't hurt her in the emotional way that Curtis did.
S8.E14 ∙ Revenge of the Nerd
While in college, Laura considers signing up with a sorority, but she has second thoughts after discovering that the group regularly harasses Steve.
S8.E15 ∙ Love Triangle
Laura becomes involved in a love triangle between her, Curtis and Maxine.

When Steve transports Carl back in time, Carl learns a valuable lesson about priorities.
S8.E17 ∙ Beauty and the Beast
When Harriette finds contestants for the Miss Downtown Chicago Pageant, which a nervous Carl will be hosting with Emmanuel Lewis. Myrtle decides to cheat her way to win the pageant even if it means making Greta and the others look bad. She wants to win Eddie's love regardless of the consequences and Steve quickly cottons on to her plan. He helps free his girlfriend, Myra and the other contestants by freeing them from their imprisonment, back stage. As the angry contestants chases Myrtle around, he rightfully calls her out for being a manipulative, lying cheat. He tells the audience that Myrtle was using the pageant as a means to reaffirm her love for Eddie and will stop at nothing to get him, even if it's cheating. He reminds her that his friend will never ever love her the same way that he loves Greta. He tells her that it is extremely unacceptable and she knew the rules by hand. She chose to dismiss them and therefore, she loses by default. Myrtle is angry and embarrassed that Steve would dare disqualify her from the competition and leaves.
S8.E18 ∙ Le Jour d'Amour
Urkel hosts three Valentine's Day stories. In "True Love," Eddie sings a song to clear up Greta's misunderstandings with his high-school ex-girlfriend Oneisha. "First Love" involves Richie and 3J vying for the affections of Kelsey Webster, Maxine's niece,when Richie decides to drop out, Kelsey decides that he's the better man. In "Lasting Love," Harriette accuses Carl of being cheap in buying her the same gifts every year and he enlists Richie and 3J to help him make up for it. Finally, Urkel gets his own Valentine's Day gift in the form of Myra dressed as a polka-costume-clad Cupid.
S8.E19 ∙ What Do You Know?
In order to win big on a game show, Eddie uses Urkel's transformation chamber to gain Urkel's smarts, only to have Urkel as an opponent.
S8.E20 ∙ Odd Man In
Carl needs one more person for his poker-playing group. Harriette joins--and beats everyone. Meanwhile, in order to be a judge at a bikini contest, Eddie convinces Steve to temporarily replace him in his job as a peanut vendor at a football stadium. However, Steve causes so many mishaps that he is terminated--along with Eddie.
S8.E21 ∙ Flirting with Disaster
Urkel is insulted when Carl's home owner's insurance agent, Mr.Tolbert, calls him a disaster waiting to happen(due to his clumsiness). He won't put up for this and heads to his office in downtown Chicago. Steve tries to convince him that he isn't a disaster, and that he should lower Carl's skyrocketing home owner's insurance. However, it goes nowhere because Mr.Tolbert is still convinced that he's a disaster. That is until Carl shows up to his office and deals with the matter himself, by telling Steve that he's found a nice apartment on Argyle Street. Mr.Tolbert is completely mortified when he learns Urkel will be his next door neighbor and he agrees to lower Carl's home owner's insurance on the grounds that he keeps Steve away from him. Meanwhile, Eddie learns an important lesson that it's better to act your age and stay true to your current girlfriend when he's tempted to flirt with an older woman.
S8.E22 ∙ Pound Foolish
Steve's Aunt Oona from Altoona returns to visit her nephew and the Winslows again. Unfortunately, she's embarrassed about the extra weight she gained from eating so much. She's desperate to lose the extra weight to impress Reverend Fuller at church. Steve comes up with a solution for his favorite aunt, his fat compressing invention should do the trick. He isn't sure if it'll work 100% because he never tested it before, but Oona's determined to try it. She gets in and he starts the invention. It is a complete success as she steps out much slimmer than before. Carl is impressed by it and admits he should try it sometime. Like most of Steve's inventions, it eventually backfires and Oona reverts back to her overweight self. She runs out embarrassed by the whole thing and Steve makes a mental note to work on his fat compressing chamber more. Reverned Fuller makes a visit to the Winslow house and admitted to her that he like BBW - Big Beautiful Women.
S8.E23 ∙ The Brother Who Came to Dinner
Eddie and Steve also try to get 3,000 dollars in order to get a new laptop at the carnival will Eddie succeed?
S8.E24 ∙ A Pirate's Life for Me
Urkel and Carl travel back through time to the 1700s and wind up on a pirate ship where they're forced to walk the plank.
S9.E1 ∙ Out with the Old
Steve is finally fed up with Myra's refusal to let him change the way he looks. In her eyes, she sees him a perfect 10, the way he is. However, he doesn't see it the same way as her. He feels as long as he dated her, he'll still remain a geek with the hitched up pants and squeaky voice. He makes the executive decision to goes through with the makeover despite her pleading. He even takes speaking lessons from his doctor and the deep voice Sheila. On the night of the kissing contest held by the sorority, Laura wages high for Stefan, but loses the bet to one of her sorority sisters. Greta is the next to bet for Eddie, but she loses to her rival, Myrtle. Finally, Steve shows up in his new look, a green buttoned down shirt, with black slacks reaching to his ankles, new black shoes, no suspenders and oval silver rimmed glasses. He spoke with his new deep voice. While many girls bet for Steve, Laura is impressed by his new look, wins the bet and they share a kiss. Meanwhile, Carl is jealous of Harriette's high promotion that he ends up a second job being a moonlight parker.
S9.E2 ∙ They Shoot Ducks, Don't They?
Urkel tags along with Carl and Commissioner Geiss on a duck hunting trip.
S9.E3 ∙ Dumb Belle of the Ball
After Myrtle has protected Eddie from an accident by moving him out of the way. He ends up accompanying her to her party in Mississippi.
S9.E4 ∙ Drinking and Jiving
When Laura gets drunk at her sorority party one night, Maxine calls Steve to come down to the sorority house to take her home. He gets into a fight with one of the guys as he tries to remove her. After he takes her home, Laura ends up kissing him before passing out. The next morning, Urkel uses frozen peas to nurse a shiner he received from his fight with one of the guys. Later on, she recovers from her hangover and admits to Maxine that she's starting to fall in love with Steve. Meanwhile, Carl and Harriette are quarreling over their anniversary. Carl wants to watch the Bears game against the Packers, but Harriette wants to go on a romantic cruse at Lake Michigan. Eddie is fed up with their fighting that he sets them straight and tells them to compromise before he gets a headache.
S9.E5 ∙ Who's Afraid of the Big Black Book?
Eddie takes his pranks on Laura too far by inviting her ex-boyfriends over to the house whenever Stefan is around. Laura decides to fight fire with fire by conning Steve into helping her get even with her dim-witted brother. She uses his black book, which contains phone numbers of Eddie's previous girlfriends, and invites them over on his birthday. When he and Greta arrive to his birthday party to see his ex-girlfriends, they are incensed by the whole thing. Finally, Steve sets both Eddie and Laura straight on how ungrateful they were to have each other. Steve admits that he was always jealous of them because his parents never loved him and that the Winslows were like his own family. Both siblings apologize soon after. Meanwhile, Commissioner Geiss learns a lesson that sometimes it's better if a more experienced cop, like Carl, is promoted to captain over an inexperienced cop, like his son.
S9.E6 ∙ A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read
Steve's latest invention accidentally gives him the ability to read minds- thinking it will be a good thing & change the whole world- until the Winslows feel that their privacy is invaded- including Laura- when Steve learns she's been attracted to him. Meanwhile, Carl becomes a troop leader for Richie, 3J and the Junior Woodsmen.
S9.E7 ∙ Stevil II: This Time He's Not Alone
Today is Halloween and Steve plans to spend a nice, quiet one with his friend, Laura. Unfortunately, Stevil, his evil ventriloquist dummy, is back with a vengeance with Steve's ex-girlfriend, Myra's, help in putting him back together. This time he's not alone. His sidekick, Carlsbad, is going to help him try to take over Steve and Carl's souls and place them into their dummy forms while they pose as the real Steve and Carl. Can Steve and Carl stop them before they wreak havoc in the Winslow House?

S9.E13 ∙ Breaking Up Is Hard to Do
Steve is ready to calls it quits in his relationship with Myra but is shocked when she tells him she doesn't want to see him anymore. He's now free to be with his true love, Laura. A few weeks later, Myra makes a visit to the Winslow House, deeply regretting her decision. Unfortunately, Steve does not want to reconcile. Meanwhile, Eddie quits college and decides to go to the Police Academy to be a cop like his dad.
S9.E14 ∙ Crazy for You
With Steve out of her life, Myra is going to make sure Laura is out of his too. Her theory is, if she can't have her boyfriend back, she'll make sure her rival doesn't either. She and Stefan team up to ensure their happiness is complete. Meanwhile Eddie learns about guns at Police Academy.

Steve demands that Myra stops stalking him and renounces her love for him. Meanwhile, Carl has some explaining to do when Harriette discovers that her wedding ring was meant for someone else.

After breaking up a few fights between Myrtle and Greta, Laura decides that both of them should fight it out in a boxing match for Eddie's love. Meanwhile, Steve and Carl helps 3J locate his birth mother in a diner three blocks off Chicago. She was happy that he's living in a new family who loves him. She explains to him why she gave 3J up for adoption.
S9.E17 ∙ Polkapalooza
Steve and Laura attend the biggest polka festival in all of Chicago. She is surprised and impressed by how much he has contributed to the community through polka music. She loves him even more and enjoys herself there. Meanwhile, Eddie buys a new apartment for him and Greta to live in. Carl comes over to visit him and overstays his welcome by embarrassing him.
S9.E18 ∙ Throw Urkel from the Train
Laura is suspicious of Maxine's wealthy new boyfriend, D'Andre Moore. After D'Andre asks Maxine to deliver an unmarked package for him, police cadet Eddie and his supervisor arrest D'Andre for dealing drugs, and Maxine apologizes to Laura. Steve accidentally goes to Washington, DC, on a train with Carl. En route he must share Carl's puny cabin for the entire trip from Chicago.
S9.E19 ∙ Don't Make Me Over
When Myrtle decides to get a makeover to steal Eddie away from Greta one last time. She immediately realizes that he's not exactly her type and renounces her love for him.
S9.E20 ∙ Pop Goes the Question
Steve and Stefan arm themselves with roses and rings as they both decide to propose to Laura. Stefan is Carl's choice because he wants Steve to return to his perfect ex-girlfriend, Myra Monkhouse, and marry her instead. Laura struggles with her choice because no matter what happens, her decision will cost her one of the guys. Harriette tells her that no matter what decision she makes, they'll support her. Steve announces that he's not going to propose to her and decides to go live in Russia with his parents. Laura decides that it is him she wants to marry, not Stefan. Steve has been a gentleman to her ever since they met and she deserves that over having a glamorous and shallow life. Carl is not happy with her decision, but he also realizes that it was hers to make.
S9.E21 ∙ Lost in Space: Part 1
As Steve and Laura discuss wedding plans for their guest seating arrangements, NASA comes calling and tells him that he'll go into space to test his anti-gravity invention. Later on, Myra refuses to take no for an answer and sneaks aboard the shuttle to convince Steve to stay with her and give up Laura right away. Meanwhile, Harriette is overly concerned with Eddie's safety, she has him transferred to being a meter maid.
S9.E22 ∙ Lost in Space: Part 2
With the space ship unable to return to Earth, it's up to Steve to save his fellow crewman by gently removing the satellite that got stuck to its side. Once successful, he brings the crew home. Meanwhile, Myra makes one last push to get Urkel to come back to her, by pretending to be his fiancee. The plan fails and she eventually gives up on her pursuit. During that time, Carl helps Harriette understand her son's need to be a police officer. Eddie's meter maid duty takes a dangerous turn.
