S1.E1 ∙ Feel the Fear
Joy is totally fine. - No matter what her dog, Canine Aidan, thinks. She may have just broken up with her long-term boyfriend, Aidan, and her best friend Trish is busy having a baby, but she's perfectly happy with her secluded and orderly life. Her career is also trundling along nicely, until she receives an unwanted new job, filling in for Ireland's most-beloved vlogger, Flora the Happy Hunter (at least until the swelling from a dodgy skin resurfacing dies down). This new job catapults Joy into the unknown, and unwelcome, world of social media stardom, where she must share her fears, feelings, and wardrobe malfunctions with the world as she goes to great heights to find - well joy.
S1.E2 ∙ Boundaries
With Flora out of commission for several more weeks, Joy is assigned a piece on boundaries; which are to be explored through the medium of full-contact wrestling. If this weren't bad enough, she needs a partner, and with her one friend heavily pregnant, Joy is accidentally partnered with someone she recognises from stalking Aidan online. At home things aren't much better as Joy tries to find a new housemate.
S1.E3 ∙ Letting Go
Joy's latest vlogger assignment sends her off on her own to The Happy Place, where she must learn new-age concepts, such as how to let go, and how to live without moisturiser.
S1.E4 ∙ Love the One You're With
Joy explores the world of non-committal dating and shows some initiative by proposing a piece on blind dating, dragging Amelia along for backup.
S1.E5 ∙ Growing Pains
Life is looking good for Joy - gold Abrakebabra card good - but a run-in with a freshly healed Flora, a hot yoga class with Aidan's new girlfriend, and a sweaty bout of heat-induced hallucinations, result in an embarrassing meltdown.
S1.E6 ∙ The Beginning of the End
It's all gone a bit tits up for Joy - Amelia has headed off to find herself again, her gold Abrakebabra card has been revoked, and the video of her straddling her yoga teacher while professing her love for Aidan has gone viral. She'd briefly had Aidan back, but now he's gone again, and all Joy wants is to hide. But when a laboring Trish turns up at her door, Joy realizes that there are more important things in life and decides to face the MOJO awards with her head (and her boobs) held high.
