Serial bombs set by an ecoterrorist strain the team's resources and endanger one of the members' lives.

A young woman is abducted by a man who believes she's his daughter, and the team must dip into a personal loss while negotiating for her release, all whilst adjusting to a new member.
S2.E16 ∙ Just a Man
Ed's youth neighborhood protege Anton Burrows' fourth attempt at parole is denied after the daughter of Amiri, the shopkeeper whom he killed during his only hold-up as a teenager, testifies yet again. Shortly after, nothing-to- lose (NTL) prison gang leader Sloan Keller starts a riot and fakes an escape attempt to cover up his main aim: to eliminate his rival gang's leader. Anton gets hold of Amiri's wife and daughter in an attempt to protect them while also trying to help Ed's team.
S2.E17 ∙ Custody
Lawyer Adam Westfall is held at gunpoint by Donald Mitchell, who just won custody of his kids against his wife Helen, but now his kids are missing. Westfall's client is Helen. Donald correctly assumes that Helen is helped by the lawyer's assistant to abduct their children in order to take them to Ireland. The team also discover that Helen's boyfriend is also involved. The team, after talking Donald down, must catch Helen before she can flee the country with the kids.
S2.E18 ∙ Coming to You Live
Team One must locate and rescue a politician before a vengeful radio shock jock kills him on the air.
S2.E19 ∙ The Farm
A hostage crisis at a gas station becomes much more urgent when the hostage-taker reveals that a cult leader is about to kill his followers at his compound.
S2.E20 ∙ You Think You Know Someone
After Sergeant Gregory Parker is abducted, his team must race to find him. As they learn more about the people who abducted him, they uncover a secret he's kept hidden for 10 years.
S2.E21 ∙ The Good Citizen
The SRU is in search of a man, Robert Cooper, who stopped two local drug dealers from vandalizing a local restaurant only to take their gun and hunt them down. Cooper goes vigilante and the SRU must stop him from killing the drug dealers he blames for the burning down of his family's hardware store and for the death of his brother who died that morning of an overdose. .
S2.E22 ∙ Behind the Blue Line
Sam Braddock's negotiator skills are put to the test when he forms a special connection to a sniper holed up in an arena that's scheduled for demolition. Sam ends up questioning his role as a member of the SRU.
S3.E1 ∙ Unconditional Love
Team One is called to a gun-buy-gone-wrong, only to discover the team is in pursuit of a psychopath in the making.
S3.E2 ∙ Severed Ties
Multiple child abductions lead the team to a distraught mother who will stop at nothing to put her family back together.
S3.E3 ∙ Follow the Leader
Following an interception of a white supremacist compound the team discovers that they have a much bigger problem on their hands - multiple bomb targets across the city.
S3.E4 ∙ Whatever It Takes
What appears to be a hazing incident leads the SRU to discover a high school's dark history. Things become more complicated when their victim threatens to jump off the school's roof while another boy takes their basketball coach hostage.
S3.E5 ∙ The Other Lane
While the team tries to stop some gunrunners in a residential neighborhood they discover a surprise. Someone they know is involved. Has a suspended cop gone bad or is this a chance to right a wrong?
S3.E6 ∙ Jumping at Shadows
When a 911 operator gets a call from a young person who is constantly telephoning in false alarms, the operator tries to hang up but she hears a shot so the team is sent to check it out. When they arrive they find a woman shot, and the girl is not there. They also find several IDs. When the woman wakes up she reveals that her daughter witnessed a crime a few years ago. So that the authorities can catch the criminals, they went into hiding. She believes her husband and daughter are on the run. When they catch the shooter they learn he's not alone so the girl is still in danger.
S3.E7 ∙ Acceptable Risk
Shaken by a gruesome spree shooting incident, Team One returns to the station only to come under review by Special Investigations Unit agent Jill Hastings. Each team member is sequestered and questioned separately about the incident in accordance with SIU procedure.
S3.E8 ∙ Collateral Damage
A man escapes custody and takes hostage the coroner whose autopsy results stated his infant was shaken to death. Ed Lane leads the negotiation as the man demands the results be looked at by someone else in an effort to prove his innocence.
S3.E9 ∙ Thicker Than Blood
An unhappy customer with hostages at a credit union turns out to have a stolen identity. But the SRU soon realizes that the situation is more desperate and that there is another man involved who will stop at nothing to save his dying son.
S3.E10 ∙ Terror
A man suffering from paranoid schizophrenia shoots a man and takes several others hostage in a restaurant where he is convinced the owner leads a terrorist cell. As the SRU tries to resolve the situation, they learn that there may be another person plotting a worse attack.
S3.E11 ∙ No Promise
When Spike's mentor disappears with one of the two prisoners he was transporting after crashing into a bus, questions arise as to whether the mentor is the hostage or the hostage taker as the SRU discovers he was under investigation.
S3.E12 ∙ I'd Do Anything
Complications arise in a high-risk SRU raid when an informant gets caught in a dangerous game of love, murder and betrayal.
S3.E13 ∙ Fault Lines
While the team is being recertified, they have to face a psychiatrist who is known for getting cops relieved of duty, and makes every member of team face up to certain things. And the commander claims he wasn't the one who brought him in. And this is all happening just as Ed's wife is going into labor.
S4.E1 ∙ Personal Effects
Team One pursues the man who shot their Team Leader several times while under the intense scrutiny of Dr. Toth who is ready to break up the team. Meanwhile, Ed refuses treatment to be by his wife who is having a difficult labor.
S4.E2 ∙ Good Cop
When a cop mistakenly shoots and kills a teenage boy and is found innocent, Team One confronts a rioting crowd and a father whose dreams died the night he lost his son.
S4.E3 ∙ Run, Jamie, Run
Team One chases a young man who committed armed robbery and aired it live to a large Internet audience. When they discover his next target, they find someone else has been lying to their subject to convince him to commit a worse crime.
S4.E4 ∙ Through a Glass Darkly
The team searches for a teenager and her mom who were seen abducted near their home. Meanwhile, Ed begins to suspect that Wordy may be hiding a secret that could jeopardize the team.
S4.E5 ∙ The Better Man
The team assists in one of the city's largest drug busts and must stop a detective from taking revenge when things get personal for him. A member of Team One steps down after his secret is revealed.
S4.E6 ∙ A Day in the Life
Team One breaks in their new team member on Valentine's Day. The busiest day of the year has them responding to three calls: a jumper on a bridge, a woman holding a man at knife point, and a man with a gun searching for his former employer.
S4.E7 ∙ Shockwave
Members of Team One are trapped when two bombs simultaneously go off. As their colleagues race to get them and the trapped civilians out, Spike finds a third and far more dangerous bomb set to explode.
S4.E8 ∙ Grounded
Hijackers commandeer a passenger jet to bargain for a prisoner release. The lives of forty passengers and crew hang in the balance of negotiations over the prisoner, a relative of the terrorists.
S4.E9 ∙ The War Within
Team One responds to a 911 call where a masked gunman threatens a group of teens and kidnaps one of them. As they pursue the investigation, it turns out the gunman is known to the youths and was the subject of a viral video prank perpetrated by the kidnap victim. Meanwhile, Jules encourages Sgt. Parker to accept an invitation for a date with a woman he rescued in a recent case.
S4.E10 ∙ Cost of Doing Business
What seemed a robbery turns out another kidnapping, bearing the mark of a Mexican gang which recently expended to Canada. Victim Colin Hamilton is the CEO of a multinational, which has repeatedly been blackmailed fro staff ransom in Mexico. A curious lead to mutilated, traumatized former victim Esmeralda Vargas changes everything.
S4.E11 ∙ Wild Card
Team One is alerted to a situation in a bank where a woman who appears under duress is withdrawing all her money. When she sabotages her own rescue and escapes with her tormentor, the team turn their attention to her family, who is also in danger. As they continue the investigation, the family's dark secret emerges, leading to an undercover assignment in which Ed risks his safety to diffuse a potentially deadly confrontation. Meanwhile, Sgt. Parker tries to get to the bottom of Sam's unusual behavior, which includes openly questioning Ed's tactics
S4.E12 ∙ A New Life
In the middle of Donna's wedding, a gunman opens fire. Now Team One, with Donna's help, must try to keep the people close to her from getting killed and make sure Donna's emotions don't get in the way as she learns some surprising news regarding a mentor she once worked with.
S4.E13 ∙ A Call to Arms
Fed up with extortion, a Chinatown merchant sets out to foil the gang to whom her father pays protection money.
S4.E14 ∙ Day Game
An ex-cop with a grudge against Greg Parker takes him hostage and threatens to drop him off an arena's megatron if Greg can't talk him down. Meanwhile his team discovers that they are helpless to use tactical options to save their boss.
S4.E15 ∙ Blue on Blue
Team One responds to shots fired within the city's evidence lock-up building. Once there, they discover clues to suggest their missing team member may be orchestrating the break-in and could be doing so under duress.
S4.E16 ∙ Team Player
Team One is called in to try and stop a conflict at a psychiatric hospital where a stabbing has just taken place. In the commotion of subduing the stabber, the victim escapes from the infirmary taking one of the staff as hostage. The escapee is then identified to have a history of violence and now armed, wants to settle something with his best friend.
S4.E17 ∙ Priority of Life
Team One are called to a bio-chemical facility where a former employee is holding technicians hostage in the laboratory. Faced with the diagnosis that he has ALS, he believes its the fault of the Company and demands they admit their culpability. Meanwhile, Greg Parker faces immediate suspension as the relationship between two team members he was keeping secret is discovered.
S4.E18 ∙ Slow Burn
A fire captain who feels nothing he does is good enough is given the chance to prove to himself and to an injured member of his crew that he can set things right. Meanwhile, Greg Parker is still considering his decision to remain leader of Team One and doubts himself even more after his decision to allow the fire captain to return to the hospital to be with his injured friend has dire consequences.
S5.E1 ∙ Broken Peace
Team One is looking for an armed and abusive man who has tracked down his ex-wife demanding to know where their daughter, who is celebrating her 18th birthday, is. The situation escalates when he drags his ex-wife to near the edge of a hotel rooftop, where Ed and the rest of the team face a huge moral dilemma. The dramatic conclusion leaves Team One questioning themselves, each other and even their jobs.
S5.E2 ∙ No Kind of Life
Team One's pursuit of a gunman in an office building gets complicated when Sam is abducted. With the life of a child at stake, the team must unravel the secret of the gunman's past before violence overtakes him, the doctor whose help he sought, and Sam.
S5.E3 ∙ Run to Me
A criminal picks up homeless teenagers and forces them to commit bank robberies for him. Leah Kerns returns to Team One.
S5.E4 ∙ Eyes In
A known computer hacker learns his student's boyfriend plans to hijack a delivery truck of volatile chemicals. The hijacker gets into Team One's computers and sends videos of the hijacking.
S5.E5 ∙ Sons of the Father
A man kidnaps a nurse. The man has been known to kill others. With no leads, the team asks the man's brother to help them in find the killer.
S5.E6 ∙ Below the Surface
A car bombing outside a children's party kills the leader of a gang and his wife. Team One, believing it to be the act of a rival gang, soon discovers that it was perpetrated by members of the leader's own gang, and that an undercover informant who has infiltrated the gang has been exposed.
S5.E7 ∙ Forget Oblivion
A young man with a brilliant memory is abducted and forced to remember the specifications for a new "smart gun" in a high tech research facility, which his kidnappers intend to sell on the black market.
S5.E8 ∙ We Take Care of Our Own
The SRU is called in to stop some ex-soldiers robbing an armored truck with millions of dollars. They learn about the background of the group leader who tries to maintain a place for ex-army men and women with nowhere to go. Jules and Sam receive some personal news, but don't know whether to share it with the team.
S5.E9 ∙ Lawmen
While on a ride-along with Greg and Ed, Dean and Clark are ordered to stay in the truck when a shootout breaks out at a drug den. Ignoring their dads orders, and moving in for a closer look, the two boys witness a cop fleeing the scene and dropping a bag in the garbage and go to investigate.
S5.E10 ∙ A World of Their Own
A senator wants to develop an airport on occupied farmland. One owner does not want to move because it is the only life his deaf nephew knows and feels secure. The senator is kidnapped so the farmer can talk to him.
S5.E11 ∙ Fit for Duty
Team One races to catch a disturbed and armed man on a ferry.
S5.E12 ∙ Keep the Peace: Part 1
A man sets explosives in public buildings where he can cause the most destruction.
