Holly Hobbie has lived her whole life in the small town of Collinsville. Holly's a 13-year-old singer-songwriter who's got her best friends and close-knit family by her side, but she's dreaming of ways to save the world - even if it's starting in her own backyard.

Holly feels a new sense of independence when she gets her driver's license, but learns that with more independence comes even more responsibility. Heather finds herself excluded when she joins the boy's football team.

Amy tries to write the perfect essay for College but ends up going overboard. Meanwhile Heather is forced to choose between Dance and Rugby.

Holly has trouble getting over her breakup with Oscar. At the fair she ends up working with him at a face painting booth and she has to come to terms with whether she can still be friends with Oscar or not.

Holly and Amy go to New York to get into their respective schools. Things don't go as planned for Holly though and she learns there are more ways than just school to further her career.

Amy becomes aware of the peril the planet is in. Anxious about the impending disaster that directionless human activity is causing she alienates her friends with her insistence that things such as the upcoming prom be changed drastically.

Heather writes an article about school sports that causes changes that incur the wrath of the boy's football team. Meanwhile Holly tries to make a go of her band but her band may not be willing to go along.

Holly tries teaching and in the process learns a lesson. Meanwhile Heather come face to face with the changes that a new baby sister will cause in her life.

Holly gets overwhelmed with post-grad plans and lets the stress interrupt her senior prom. Amy avoids going to prom to prepare for an important interview when she knows how much it means to Savannah.

With the loss of her dream job, Holly searches for her calling that will satisfy her passions in life. She's conflicted when it comes to songwriting and philanthropy. The Hobbie family prepares for the new baby.
