The origin story of how the Hollywood Darlings became best friends told through a series of flashbacks to New Years Eve, 1999.
When Christine is having problems getting roles due to her lack of Twitter followers, Jodie puts out the word that she has died in order to increase her followers. Beverley gets an email from her gynecologist suggesting a surgery to help fix her female parts, but when she finds out that Jodie, who has the same gynecologist didn't receive the same email, she takes it personally right to her doctor's office.
After a string of bad dates, Jodie tries a new celebrity dating app in hopes of finding a guy who's not just into her for being Stephanie Tanner. Christine goes method when she lands an acting role as a Russian prostitute on TV. When Beverley is forced to find a new preschool for her kids to attend last minute, she hosts a dinner party to try and win over the Headmaster of the school. Enlisting the help of her best friends, everything comes to a head at Beverley's dinner party when Jodie shows up with her celebrity date and Christine shows up in character. Matthew Lawrence guest stars.
When Beverley finds out her nanny used to do porn and Christine is in need of a last minute babysitter, Bev jumps at the chance to pawn the porn nanny off without having to fire her. Per the porn nanny's request, Beverley and Christine make it their mission to help her get back into the porn business with some coaching, acting, and personal favors. Jodie helps her daughter with a school project and gets a B. In an effort to redeem herself and get a better grade, Jodie keeps doing homework assignments until she finds herself called in for her own parent-teacher conference.
The Darlings take a girl's trip for the weekend. When Jodie spots an ex-boyfriend that she ghosted recently, she tries to avoid him but is forced to come up with an excuse for dissappearing when they finally run into each other. Christine and Brandon are trying to have a baby and when Christine starts ovulating she sneaks Brandon into the hotel so they can try and meet up for a quickie. Beverley accidentally eats a pot brownie. This staycation is one they will never forget, except maybe Bev. Sarunas Jackson guest stars.
Tired of the lame couples they hang out with, Christine and Brandon come on strong as they try and win over a new cool couple they want to double-date. Beverley and Jodie run into an old friend who tries to enlist their help with a protest she's spearheading against erecting a naked statue in their children's local park. When Jodie takes a hard stance in defense of the statue, Beverley finds herself in between a chiseled rock and a hard place and has to decide which friend's side she's going to take.
When a group of teenage girls put a curse on Beverley and Christine, they laugh it off. But when the Darlings start to experience a string of bad luck Beverley and Christine become convinced the curse is real and seek help from a local witch store owner and her coven of witches. Jodie, convinced her dating life is the only thing that's cursed, decides to revisit the very first kiss she ever had, which just happened to be on screen as Stephanie Tanner in Full House. Reconnecting as adults, Jodie and "Rusty" go out on a date to see if they can rekindle their old childhood flame. Jordan Christopher Michael guest stars.
When Beverley, Jodie, and Christine are invited to be a part of an elite and exclusive group of moms, they try and make a great first impression by offering to plan a birthday party for one of the kids in the group. Things start to get messy as the Darlings scramble to put together the perfect party. In this homage to Big Little Lies, we recount the story of events as told through a series of confessionals from each Darling's perspective on the day of the infamous birthday party. Tatyana Ali guest stars.
