A woman radar-intercept officer (RIO) disappears at night from an aircraft carrier in the Adriatic Sea. Two JAG lawyers, Lt. Harm Rabb and Lt. Caitlin Pike, investigate and solve. Harm, a former Naval aviator, unexpectedly becomes a hero.
S1.E2 ∙ A New Life: Part 2
The investigation continues into the aviator's death. Harm's past as a naval aviator is a source of friction to some of those on board the ship.
S1.E3 ∙ Shadow
A civilian tech rep aboard a submarine seizes control of an experimental torpedo after its launch during an exercise. The rep threatens to sink a cruise ship and demands a ransom. Harm and Ltjg. Meg Austin go to the sub and save the day.
S1.E4 ∙ Desert Son
Due to a human error in an exercise, artillery fire injures seven Marines, one of whom later dies. The accused is a son of a former commandant of the Marine Corps. Harm and Meg investigate; Meg, with help from Ollie North, finds the truth.
S1.E5 ∙ Déjà Vu
Three Navy lieutenants die by homicide in 11 months around Washington. Harm and Meg investigate; their attention turns to the Thai ambassador, his wife, and his chief of security. The chief confesses, but Meg and Harm discover the truth.
S1.E6 ∙ Pilot Error
Two Naval aviators die in a crash of an F-14 while using a new fly-by-wire navigation system. Harm and Meg investigate. The vendor of the system blames the pilot. Harm flies both a simulator and a Tomcat; he and Meg discover the cause.
S1.E7 ∙ War Cries
In Lima, Peru, while a boy sneaks into the US embassy at night, a Marine guard stops him; the boy fires, and the guard returns fire and kills him. Locals react strongly. Harm and Meg investigate amid violent retaliation, yet they solve.
S1.E8 ∙ Brig Break
A sailor has stolen two Stinger missiles from a base. Harm and Meg investigate. A brig break takes place, with Meg as a hostage. Troops and a helo pursue, and much shooting follows. Harm, Meg, and Lt. Kate Pike prevent a nuclear detonation.
S1.E9 ∙ Scimitar
Two Marines in a Humvee mistakenly drive into Iraq; an Iraqi detail intercepts them, kills one, and captures the other. Ihe Iraqis try the survivor for espionage; Harm and Meg defend. Harm also carries out the duty of springing the Marine.
S1.E10 ∙ Boot
A woman Marine recruit dies at Parris Island. Harm investigates while Meg poses undercover as a recruit. Harm distrusts the official appraisal of the death as an accident, and Meg meets threats and attempts against her. They find the truth.
S1.E11 ∙ Sightings
In south Texas residents have reported strange phenomena, stories of supernatural events have abounded, and a 10-year-old girl has disappeared. Harm and Meg investigate; they find the girl, and they solve the greater mystery.
S1.E12 ∙ The Brotherhood
During a landing exercise Marines find a beaten, comatose fellow Marine on the beach; while investigating, Harm and Meg find inconsistent data. They and the company commander run into trouble, but they sort things out and set them right.
S1.E13 ∙ Defensive Action
A patrolling F-14 malfunctions in a no-fly zone; the crew ejects, and the bird explodes. A Serb helo strafes the crew while they descend with their chutes. The CAG destroys the helo, then he faces a court-martial; Harm and Meg defend him.
S1.E14 ∙ Smoked
After a lightning strike an F-14 wanders into Cuban airspace, and Cuban fighters force it to land. Harm and Meg in Cuba try to negotiate a return of the aircraft and the pilot -- before anyone seizes the advanced programs from the bird.
S1.E15 ∙ Hemlock
By mistake a foreign agent sends a fax to Meg's office; then he retrieves it and shoots Meg to prevent her from identifying him. Meg undergoes surgery; Harm and others track and find the assailant, who's an assassin on an assignment.
S1.E16 ∙ High Ground
A Marine sniper receives orders contrary to a previous deal; his CO refuses to listen; the sniper takes a shot at the CO's Humvee. Harm and Meg investigate. After an escape and a chase, Harm returns the accused to the base and works it out.
S1.E17 ∙ Black Ops
A Naval aviator, while temporarily assigned to a SEAL team, drowns at sea; he was the son of a woman senator. Harm and Meg investigate. First they meet stonewalling and misrepresentation, but persistence and determination produce the truth.
S1.E18 ∙ Survivors
In a civilian court Harm represents a divorced (and emotionally baffled) Marine colonel, who has gotten into trouble over an unauthorized visit with his minor son. A manhunt ensues, with Harm as one of the hunted, but Harm brokers a deal.
S1.E19 ∙ Recovery
A Navy astronaut dies during a drill while preparing for a space mission to repair a satellite. Harm and Meg investigate; after a second casualty they not only identify the person responsible but also prevent a destruction of the satellite.
S1.E20 ∙ The Prisoner
Chicom agents capture Harm in Hong Kong; they vigorously question him in mainland China about official matters. During mind games Harm imagines his father's voice. Meg and Alison search for Harm, and, after a firefight, they get him back.
S1.E21 ∙ Ares
Someone kills a Naval officer on Okinawa, then his ship encounters major trouble during war games at sea. Harm, Kate, and Meg investigate and solve. A rogue system hijacks the ship and heads it toward North Korea, but Meg regains control.
S1.E22 ∙ Skeleton Crew
The body of a woman Naval officer, a friend and classmate of Harm, is found ashore. Harm, Meg, and Alison investigate. Sparks fly between Harm and an NCIS agent. The body of another officer, a suspect, is found. Harm winds up under arrest.
S2.E1 ∙ We the People
A band of rogue patriots hijack the Declaration of Independence during a transfer. Maj. Sarah MacKenzie and Ltjg. Bud Roberts join the JAG gang; they and Harm investigate. They find the thieves, make a deal, then defend the leader in court.
S2.E2 ∙ Secrets
An enlisted Marine escapes from a Navy brig; he takes the admiral, Bud, and Sarah as hostages. At his direction they conduct a mock trial, retrying the same matter. Bud judges, Mac prosecutes, and the admiral defends, as he did originally.
S2.E3 ∙ Jinx
An F-14 Tomcat crashes into the sea after a major engine failure; the squadron has a reputation for having become jinxed. Harm, Sarah, and Bud investigate. Harm again flies a Tomcat; he helps a fellow aviator, and he disproves the jinx.
S2.E4 ∙ Heroes
A SEAL dies of gunfire during a mission; the government charges the CPO in charge with the murder of his best friend. Harm prosecutes, and he deduces how and why the death took place; he then tells the court that he cannot prove his case.
S2.E5 ∙ Crossing the Line
A woman Naval aviator accuses the CAG of sexual harassment after he grounds her. Harm, Mac, and Bud investigate; a congresswoman intervenes. The CAG says that the pilot is substandard. The tragic climax shows who's right. Bud meets Harriet.
S2.E6 ∙ Trinity
Intruders enter the US submarine facility at Holy Loch, Scotland, then kidnap the baby son of a single woman Naval officer. The father is a member of the IRA. Harm and Mac provide help in Belfast; amid fireworks and deception they succeed.
S2.E7 ∙ Ghosts
While the admiral and his girlfriend jog together, they encounter a prankish booby trap; then Bud brokers a deal about a goat and a midshipman. Later A.J.'s lady dies in a real explosion at his house; he, the gang, and Webb work it out.
S2.E8 ∙ Full Engagement
While Harm gives Mac a ride in his antique biplane, the engine quits, so they land in a woodsy area. Poachers nearby kill a game warden; Harm and Mac meet them. One poacher opens fire on them, and they escape, but they meet difficulties.
S2.E9 ∙ Washington Holiday
The King of Romania and his daughter visit Washington. Communist extremists oppose the king, and they threaten to assassinate the princess. The SecNav appoints Harm to escort her. The antagonists try but fail. Harriet shows up in DC.
S2.E10 ∙ The Game of Go
A Colombian drug lord wants to deal for the life of a Marine who was left behind when the covert mission to kidnap him went awry.
S2.E11 ∙ Force Recon
Two Marines sustain injuries during a training exercise. Mac and Bud investigate whether the company commander has placed his men at undue risk. Harm goes undercover. A third Marine becomes injured. The captain confesses.
S2.E12 ∙ The Guardian
Three thugs try to rob a C store, but a homeless former SEAL intervenes and kills them; he runs into a nearby church while Bud prays there. A standoff develops and resolves; Harm successfully defends the SEAL in a civilian criminal court.
S2.E13 ∙ Code Blue
A car hits Harm; Mac takes him to a hospital, where an Israeli official undergoes a heart transplant. Members of the Hamas seize control of two floors, to hold the official as a hostage for a prisoner exchange. Harm and Mac help.
S2.E14 ∙ Cowboys & Cossacks
Harm, Mac, and Bud observe war games in the Black Sea, Mac aboard a US ship, Harm and Bud aboard a Russian ship. The two skippers, old enemies, try hard to settle grudges; the Russian, a psychotic, goes too far. Harm and Bud reach safety.
S2.E15 ∙ Rendezvous
An ensign dies while with the wife of a chief petty officer; the chief faces a charge of murder. Harm prosecutes, and Mac and Bud defend. Evidence comes from an unexpected source, and justice prevails. Bud and Harriet spend time together.
S3.E1 ∙ Ghost Ship
Aboard a decommissioned Naval vessel, inspectors discover the skeleton of a missing aviator. Harm and Mac investigate. Harm finds an important book, which contains a clue about the whereabouts of his father, but the book disappears.
S3.E2 ∙ The Court-Martial of Sandra Gilbert
A single woman Marine helo pilot, an officer, faces charges for disobedience and an adulterous relationship with a married enlisted man. Mac and Bud prosecute, and Harm defends. Rep. Bobbi Latham attends, to ensure equal treatment.
S3.E3 ∙ The Good of the Service
A Marine recon team extracts other Marines imprisoned in Haiti due to rebel action; civilian deaths result. The officer in tactical command stands accused of disobeying an order to wait. Harm and Mac prosecute; the admiral and Bud defend.
S3.E4 ∙ Blind Side
An F-14 Tomcat clips the top of a utility tower. The aviators eject, but the aircraft crashes and kills two people on the ground. The evidence implicates the squadron CO, a mentor of Harm, who investigates and prosecutes. Mac defends.
S3.E5 ∙ King of the Fleas
A paraplegic Marine veteran kills a Vietnamese man in Georgetown, then he goes to the JAG headquarters and confesses. The victim was the cruel commandant of the vet's PoW camp. Harm volunteers to represent the vet in the civilian court.
S3.E6 ∙ Vanished
Inside the Bermuda triangle an armed F-14 Tomcat vanishes. The pilot's wife and daughter suddenly disappear from family housing at NAS Jax. Harm, Mac, Bud, and even the admiral investigate; they figure it out, and the Navy makes it right.
S3.E7 ∙ Against All Enemies
A carrier-based F/A-18 Hornet accidentally fires a missile and destroys an aircraft first described as a North Korean commercial liner. Harm, Mac, and Bud investigate; they discover not only the cause but also a spy message and the spy.
S3.E8 ∙ Above and Beyond
A SEAL team rescues a captive US diplomat in Lebanon; the PotUS wants the OiC of the team to receive the Medal of Honor. Harm, Mac, and Bud investigate, but they have trouble in learning anything because nobody talks; Harm figures it out.
S3.E9 ∙ Impact
A Marine Corps helo has a midair collision with an unknown aircraft; all but the pilot survive. Harm and Bud investigate. People from a mysterious agency take control of the site, and Harm locks horns with them, but he solves the mystery.
S3.E10 ∙ People v. Rabb
Harm tries to buy stolen documents allegedly about his father in Russia, then Harm faces a charge of murder. Webb helps Harm. The matter goes to a pretrial hearing; Mac represents Harm. Afterward Mac suddenly again speaks with the admiral.
S3.E11 ∙ Defenseless
A woman Navy ensign shoots and kills a Turkish colonel; she claims self-defense. Harm, Mac, and Bud investigate, and Harm defends her in a preliminary hearing. Later the admiral tells Harm more. Bud and Harriet take another step together.
S3.E12 ∙ Someone to Watch Over Annie
Annie Pendry and her son, Josh, have moved to Baltimore. During a field trip Josh watches a murder; Annie seeks help from Harm, who obliges. Josh experiences gunfire, a kidnap, and intimidation. Harm, Mac, and the admiral rescue Josh.
S3.E13 ∙ With Intent to Die
An admiral, a friend of A.J., dies, apparently by suicide; then someone stabs another admiral to death. A.J. refuses to accept the finding of suicide; he, with help from Harm, Mac, Bud, and Harriet, connects the dots. He's the next target.
S3.E14 ∙ Father's Day
A Marine corporal, driving a tank, accidentally demolishes a tent; he then faces a court-martial. His domestic life has diluted his attention. Harm, Mac, Bud, and Dalton all work to defend him and to represent him in a custody contest.
S3.E15 ∙ Yesterday's Heroes
A Navy frigate fires two warning shots across the bow of a suspect yacht, which has refused to stop when ordered; the second round appears to hit the boat, and it sinks. Harm, Mac, and Bud investigate; they figure out what had happened.
S3.E16 ∙ Chains of Command
An enlisted woman at sea makes a serious mistake; no casualty results. The command master CPO calls her to his office for counseling; she then accuses him of unlawful sexual behavior. Harm and Bud prosecute, and Dalton and Harriet defend.
S3.E17 ∙ The Stalker
Dalton tries to reconcile, but Mac says no; he seeks one last meeting, then he dies in her arms. Harm and Mac defend a CPO. A stalker captures Mac, but Harm frees her. The admiral introduces his daughter; Bud and Harriet still have trouble.
S3.E18 ∙ Tiger, Tiger
Harm, Bud, and Josh take part in a tiger cruise; the ship's crew "rescues" people from a raft. The newcomers are anti-Castro terrorists who seize the ship and launch missiles to hit Castro. Harm and Josh work together to help defeat them.
S3.E19 ∙ Death Watch
Mac learns more about Ltjg. Diane Schonke, who (in season 1) looked so much like her. While Harm reexamines an old cache of letters, he deduces who killed Diane. Harm intercepts his suspect; Mac arrives, and the killer takes extreme action.
S3.E20 ∙ Imposter
Palmer captures Harm and makes a mask of his face, so that he can impersonate him. Palmer, the imitation Harm, goes to a hearing, where he tries to kill a Marine officer accused of violating a weapons treaty. Bud gives Harriet some jewelry.
S3.E21 ∙ The Return of Jimmy Blackhorse
The Marine Corps returns the remains of a WW2 codetalker to a Navajo cemetery, but a native medicine woman denies that the remains are his. Harm, Mac, Bud, and Harriet investigate. Truth emerges, and Harm proposes an acceptable compromise.
S3.E22 ∙ Clipped Wings
In Italy an F-14D Tomcat has a midair collision with a civilian helo; six locals die. The Italian government wishes to prosecute the Navy pilot for manslaughter. Mac prosecutes; Harm and Bud defend and persist, and the truth becomes known.
S3.E23 ∙ Wedding Bell Blues
Bud Sr. and Mike (Bud's father and younger brother) travel to Washington for Bud and Harriet's wedding. Bud Sr. leaves insults, injuries, and hurt feelings in his wake; Harriet's mother also causes much discomfort and embarrassment. Bud passes a big career milestone with grace and empathy. A dry cleaner loses Harm's dress whites, but Harm finds them in an unusual place. The girls go to Harriet's party, then Mac bails Harm, Bud, and the admiral out of a DC jail after Bud's party. Bud Sr. skips the beautiful wedding, and Mike arrives late. Harm takes charge of a detail of eight officers who form an arch of swords for the new couple; he also shows up with an unusual and unexpected date.
S3.E24 ∙ To Russia with Love
Harm finds his father's trail in Siberia; he and Mac (who speaks the language) go to Russia. Two Russian acquaintances intercept them. With help Harm and Mac "borrow" a MiG-29 (a copy of the F-14 Tomcat), but opposition suddenly appears.
S4.E1 ∙ Gypsy Eyes
Two MiGs shoot down Harm and Mac; they eject, and two gypsies befriend them. The admiral follows them to Moscow, then Webb also. After a shootout the good guys help Harm and Mac to continue, and he hears about his father's life and death.
S4.E2 ∙ Embassy
Harm and Mac attend a reception at the Sudanese embassy, where the guard force appears to take over, but Harm and Mac find that the takeover is a scam. Harm puts the word out to the world. A lethal virus turns up, but everything works out.
S4.E3 ∙ Innocence
A Japanese man accuses a US Naval officer of raping his teenage daughter. Harm, Mac, and Bud investigate; a rear admiral applies political pressure. The Japanese conduct a trial, which goes poorly until a witness eventually steps forward.
S4.E4 ∙ Going After Francesca
Harm, Mac, and Bud have gone to Italy for a trial, and the admiral has gone there for an inspection and a visit with his daughter, who becomes abducted. The admiral suspects an involvement with stolen missiles. The JAG team sorts it out.
S4.E5 ∙ The Martin Baker Fan Club
A former Naval aviator jumps to his death from a high window. Roscoe Martin, a fellow mental patient and a character from a previous episode, faces a charge of second-degree murder. Harm defends him in a court and welcomes him to his home.
S4.E6 ∙ Act of Terror
Terrorists in the Persian Gulf attack a US Naval warship, killing five sailors. Upon the arrival of one prisoner in the USA, a Marine on a guard detail shoots him. Mac and Bud prosecute for murder, and Harm defends. Surprises abound.
S4.E7 ∙ Angels 30
Two F-14 Tomcats encounter two MiGs in a no-fly zone above Iraq, and one of the Tomcats goes down in action; nobody dies. Harm and Mac investigate. The pilot of the surviving Tomcat misses a shot, saying that "a voice" told him not to fire.
S4.E8 ∙ Mr. Rabb Goes to Washington
A TV-news network airs a report alleging that a Marine team has used sarin gas to assassinate three renegade US civilians working at a plant producing chemical WMDs for Saddam Hussein. Harm advises Rep. Bobbi Latham and her House inquiry.
S4.E9 ∙ People v. Mac
Mac and a former CO, mentor, and lover go on trial for conspiracy and the murder of her long-estranged husband. Cdr. Ted Lindsey prosecutes, Harm defends Mac, and Mic and Bud defend LtCol Farrow. Harm and Mic clash over defense strategy.
S4.E10 ∙ The Black Jet
LCdr. Jack Keeter, a friend of Harm, has unexpectedly landed a stealth spy aircraft in Iran; the Iranian government has announced its intent to prosecute him for espionage. Harm, Mac, and Mic go to Iran, investigate, and intercede.
S4.E11 ∙ Jaggle Bells
Chaos rules at the JAG headquarters on Christmas Eve due to a disabling snowstorm, the arrival of a young girl, the admiral's wish to get a substitute flight to Italy, the arrest of a Navy shrink for DUI, and gifts for needy children.
S4.E12 ∙ Dungaree Justice
Three men sailors waylay a bar owner, and one of them beats him, supposedly in revenge for the rape of a fourth sailor, a woman, who accompanied them on a previous visit. Harm and Mac prosecute, and Mic and Bud defend. Harm figures it out.
S4.E13 ∙ War Stories
Serbian extremists have executed three NATO observers. A SEAL team went in to rescue, but they arrived late. The officer in charge now faces charges of disobedience and involuntary manslaughter. Mic prosecutes, and Mac and Bud defend.
S4.E14 ∙ Webb of Lies
Webb makes an urgent call to Harm at home one night, then his cellphone dies. The next morning the admiral announces the discovery of Webb's body after an explosion the night before. Surprises abound. Harm seeks and finds explanations.
S4.E15 ∙ Rivers' Run
In the Appalachian Mountains the OiC of a SEAL team takes and returns fire and kills a 14-year-old boy. The OiC goes back and investigates, but the locals try him for murder in a "people's court"; Harm and Mac follow and defend him.
S4.E16 ∙ Silent Service
A US submarine experiences a series of mishaps and illnesses. Harm and Mac investigate while at sea; they suspect that someone aboard has induced the problems. Harm figures it out, and the bad guy tries but fails to put them out of his way.
S4.E17 ∙ Nobody's Child
A five-year-old abused girl dies during a field trip to a Naval museum in Washington, DC. Harm, taking a strong personal interest, investigates. He and LCdr. Coulter find many answers plus the victim's twin sister. Bud passes the bar exam.
S4.E18 ∙ Shakedown
Bud takes an oath as a member of the JAG Corps. Aboard an aircraft carrier a series of major engineering casualties severely interfere with flight operations. Harm and Mac investigate, and they figure it out, then Harm takes a ride.
S4.E19 ∙ The Adversaries
After being promoted, Bud's first case as an attorney is defending his father "Big Bud" Roberts (Jeff MacKay) from charges of fraud and larceny, with Harm as the prosecutor.
S4.E20 ∙ Second Sight
After a call from a priest, Mac sees her dying estranged father and her estranged mother as well. Mac feels and expresses much anger and frustration, yet she reaches some resolution with each of them. Harm gets laser surgery on his eyes.
S4.E21 ∙ Wilderness of Mirrors
The admiral gets help from the gang to prepare him to argue a case before the Supreme Court of the US, but the case suddenly becomes moot. Meanwhile Clark Palmer plays head games with Harm, involving LCdr. Jordi Parker as well; Harm wins.
S4.E22 ∙ Soul Searching
Terrorists in Italy have kidnapped a CIA agent, who is important to both Webb and the admiral; Webb has begun efforts to rescue him, and he draws in the admiral. The two go to Italy and ply their craft. It's new-car time in Washington.
S4.E23 ∙ Yeah, Baby
Harm requests a change back to a Naval aviator. Chloe makes pithy comments about boys and relationships. Bud prosecutes a Marine staff sergeant about her pregnancy. Two women give birth. Harm and Mac exchange contingent promises.
S4.E24 ∙ Goodbyes
Harm pursues a lead about Annie's killer. After the christening of the Roberts baby, Harm follows and finds Charlie and Dar-lin, who then starts toward an adoption. Harm receives orders to the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, and he leaves.
S5.E1 ∙ King of the Greenie Board
Harm's back flying a Tomcat with Skates as his RIO, however, Lt. Buxton, a hot-shot pilot, is making things difficult for him. Mac is promoted to lieutenant colonel.
S5.E2 ∙ Rules of Engagement
Mac flies to the carrier to investigate and prosecute in the killing of the Russians in the preceding episode; Bud and Mic soon join at sea, Bud to help Mac, and Mic to help Harm, who defends X-man. Justice prevails in an unexpected way.
S5.E3 ∙ True Callings
A petty officer smuggles a pregnant Albanian woman aboard Harm's carrier; Harm helps with the defense of the sailor at trial. Harm does some good flying, but the CAG nudges Harm back toward the JAG Corps. The gunny starts his new duties.
S5.E4 ∙ The Return
Harm returns. On the bridge of a Naval vessel at sea, a jaygee, who is the son of the SecNav, fails and refuses to obey a direct order from his CO. The defendant insists on going to trial. Mic prosecutes, and Harm and Bud defend.
S5.E5 ∙ Front and Center
Harm receives his second DFC. Mic prosecutes a sailor accused of smuggling marijuana, and Mac defends; Harm and Bud seek a witness and rescuer who disappeared after an attempted rape. Chemistry and talk occur among Harm, Mac, and Mic.
S5.E6 ∙ Psychic Warrior
At a psychic-research lab a subject, a lieutenant, wakes up and jumps to his death. The admiral in charge faces a court-martial for manslaughter and dereliction; Mac and Bud prosecute, and Harm defends. Mac has an enlightening experience.
S5.E7 ∙ Rogue
The DoD has hired a retired SEAL to test physical security arrangements; his methods are extreme. He captures a submarine and takes her to sea. Bud serves as the official observer; Harm lends a hand. Gunny meets resistance and resentment.
S5.E8 ∙ The Colonel's Wife
Olivia Dunston, wife of Marine Colonel Dunston stationed in Panama, is accused of smuggling drugs, and her weak denials convince Mac that she is guilty.
S5.E9 ∙ Contemptuous Words
A newspaper prints an op-ed piece, contemptuous of the PotUS (and a violation of the UCMJ), which first appears to have come from Harm's office computer; Harm figures it out. Meanwhile Mac encounters an unusual question about childbearing.
S5.E10 ∙ Mishap

A Russian nuclear submarine sinks while submerged with a US nuclear submarine nearby. The Russian government learns that the fault for the sinking lies with the Russians, but the officials seek to blame the US anyway. The US submarine leaders know what took place, but they feel reluctant to reveal that, because to do so would disclose an important advantage. After two surprising twists Mac takes a ride aboard a US submarine, and Harm takes one aboard a Russian submarine. The two boats wind up near each other, because the US vessel shadows the Russian one. An extremely dangerous situation develops aboard the Russian boat, and Mac and Harm take part in resolving the problem. Meanwhile a woman ensign in the US Navy graduates with honors in nuclear engineering from a college and from the Naval Nuclear-power School; she then applies but is rejected to attend the Naval Submarine School and to serve aboard a submarine; Mac and Bud advise her.

Mic represents a civilian wrongfully jailed in a Navy brig; he settles with Harm and Bud. Gunny goes to New Mexico to pick up a Marine who disappeared after service in the Korean War. The admiral goes fishing and winds up in a firefight.

A sailor dies at sea; another sailor is blamed; Harm and Mac investigate; Mac prosecutes, and Harm defends. The admiral asks Coates to plan the wedding, but she overdoes. Harriet coordinates for a USO Christmas tour, and Mike meets a girl.

Harm's petition for a guardianship meets ups and downs; Mac tries hard to help. The admiral has trouble with a gift for Meredith, and Coates lends a hand. Sturgis stews, and he meets a new friend; his father preaches a Christmas sermon.

The stone in Meredith's engagement ring leads to an underworld industry, an inside man at the Naval Research Lab, an arrest, a conviction, and more investigations. Harm takes custody of Mattie, and the admiral makes a shattering discovery.

Mac must defend a petty officer accused of murdering a female officer, but the man has no memory of the night in question, while a Navy SEAL who purchased nerve gas needs Bud's help to avoid prison.

In Iraq two F-14 Tomcats bomb a hospital, which Iraqi forces have turned into a bunker; 32 civilians die. The SecNav stands trial in the International Criminal Court; Harm, Mac, and Bud defend him. Little A.J. disappears and reappears.
S9.E15 ∙ Crash
A crash aboard an aircraft carrier appears to be a case of the pilot committing suicide, and Harm and Mac face off when Mac wants to hold the pilot's CO responsible.
S9.E16 ∙ Persian Gulf
A battery explosion deafens Harm. The CIA's diamond expert, Van Duyn, disappears, along with 24 of the Navy's synthetic diamonds. Sadik returns and plans new terrorist attacks, but Mac intercepts him and takes care of him and his plans.
S9.E17 ∙ Take It Like a Man
A discharged Marine is recalled to active duty to stand trial for the unauthorized wearing of a Silver Star; Harm prosecutes, and Mac defends. The admiral sends Mac to see a shrink. Bud loses a snake. Harm and Mattie have ups and downs.
S9.E18 ∙ What If
After dinner at a Chinese restaurant the gang takes part in a round of what might have become if the various people had set out on different roads. They wind up at a party at Harriet's castle, and they see one another in a different light.
S9.E19 ∙ Hard Time
Mac discovers the reason for a false positive result of a drug test for an angry woman enlisted Marine, and Harm and Bud represent a senior chief petty officer who is HIV-positive, and whose privacy has become compromised.
S9.E20 ∙ Fighting Words
During a guest sermon a Marine general has made remarks about the Islamic faith; this publicly boils into a court-martial; Mac prosecutes, and Harm defends. Bud investigates a complaint of racial bias against Sturgis, and he resolves it.
S9.E21 ∙ Coming Home
A Marine dies in an ambush in Iraq; his sister is a classmate of Mattie; Harm and Mattie help the mother and the sister of the Marine. Bud investigates the failure of the body armor. Harm and Mattie continue to understand each other better.
S9.E22 ∙ Trojan Horse
A kilo of heroin disappears during the seizure of a foreign ship. Harm and Mac investigate; they find the missing kilo, then they find the culprit. Bud helps a Marine with a recording contract who now must deploy. Bud and Mike talk again.

The season finale finds cast members in a total state of change: Admiral Chegwidden reveals a surprising decision he has made; Mac is given some news about her health and Harm is faced with a personal loss.
S10.E1 ∙ Hail & Farewell: Part 2
Sturgis is the acting JAG of the Navy. Simon tells Mac that Webb is alive. Mac visits Kershaw and Clay's mother, then Harm, Mac, and Simon go to Manderley, where Harm finds Webb. Clay's mother fixes a problem, and Mac breaks off with Webb.

In Iraq a firefight breaks out with friendly forces on each side; one Marine dies; each side says that the other side fired first. A retired Marine stands trial; Mac prosecutes, and Harm defends. Harm identifies the real trouble.

In a retrial after 22 years Sturgis prosecutes, and Harm defends a man, a young seaman at the time, who was wrongfully convicted of murder. Meanwhile Mac prosecutes, and Bud defends a chief warrant officer with four wives and families.

A Marine colonel undergoes unusual scrutiny while under consideration as the next JAG of the Navy. Harm and Mac investigate a shooting during a dispute between a US fishing boat and a Canadian one. Mattie and Jennifer talk about fathers.
S10.E5 ∙ This Just in from Baghdad
MGen. Creswell has taken charge. An official of the DoD has died in Iraq; a Marine staff sergeant goes on trial for involuntary manslaughter by culpable negligence; Harm prosecutes, and Mac defends. Officers take partial responsibility.
S10.E6 ∙ One Big Boat
A midshipman of the Naval Academy becomes lost overboard from a sailboat in a storm. The coach, a commander, goes to a pretrial hearing on a charge of dereliction of duty; Mac prosecutes, and Sturgis defends. Mattie moves back home.
S10.E7 ∙ Camp Delta
Three MPs at Gitmo go on trial for injuring a detainee; the prisoner is a member of the US Army in disguise; Mac prosecutes, and Harm and an Army lawyer defend. Bud slugs a mouthy civilian and goes on trial; Sturgis defends him.
S10.E8 ∙ There Goes the Neighborhood
Coates runs into trouble with two former friends from her previous life, and Harm becomes involved. A rich civilian has bought an F-18, and his daughter, a Naval aviator, gets into trouble for having taught him to fly it; Bud investigates.
S10.E9 ∙ The Man on the Bridge
A biowarfare expert disappears, apparently by suicide; Harm, Mac, and the FBI investigate. A woman Marine has filed a petition to allow women to compete with men in boxing; Bud investigates, and the general changes his mind in a ring.
S10.E10 ∙ The Four Percent Solution
A wreck sends Mac to a hospital; while unconscious she dreams about recent events in her life, especially ones involving Webb and Harm. An EMT calls Harm, who goes to Mac's room; Harm and Mac start reaching and communicating.
S10.E11 ∙ Automatic for the People
An F-14 crashes while kids watch from the playground at their school; Harm investigates, and he gets answers. Bud's anger-management course degenerates into a fight. Mac beats the general during an annual requal on a pistol range.
S10.E12 ∙ The Sixth Juror
At the Naval Air Station in Key West, Florida, a sailor goes on trial for murder. Mac prosecutes, Harm defends. Coates serves as the sixth juror. Harm figures out the murderer with assistance from code-breaking Bud.
S10.E13 ∙ Heart of Darkness
A Marine captain has deserted and has become a freelance warlord in Afghanistan, seeking Osama bin Laden; the Afghan government places him on trial; Harm and Mac defend him; Islamic justice follows. The Navy recalls Bud Sr. to active duty.
S10.E14 ∙ Fit for Duty
A Navy psychiatrist in Afghanistan is accused of malpractice and an age discrimination suit are the cases assigned to Harm, Mac and Bud.
S10.E15 ∙ Bridging the Gulf
A Navy helo damages an Iraqi fishing boat; Harm does his carrier quals in the F-18 Hornet, and he destroys a small Iraqi aircraft; and a Marine gunnery sergeant commandeers an Iraqi civilian SUV. Everything works out, and justice prevails.
S10.E16 ∙ Straits of Malacca
Pirates have seized a Burmese freighter in Indonesian waters; the US Navy becomes involved; Mac and Greg, the new lawyer, take part, and they avert a disaster. Bud and Harriet host a party, where Mike meets the general's daughter.
S10.E17 ∙ JAG: San Diego
While delivering relief supplies, a Marine hits a local man; he goes on trial; Mac prosecutes, and Greg and Tali defend. The annual JAG conference meets in San Diego. Mattie is in serious condition after an aircraft collision on the ground.
S10.E18 ∙ Death at the Mosque
Vic defends a Marine in Iraq, and he sees combat and takes part in it. Mac advises and encourages the general's daughter, who's a plebe at the Naval Academy. Harm continues his vigil with Mattie, who remains in a coma.
S10.E19 ∙ Two Towns
An explosion in Iraq kills 17 Marines in a reserve unit from a small town; one survives and returns home. The USMC Reserve Center burns due to arson; the survivor goes on trial for the fire. Mac goes to Iraq and investigates the explosion.
S10.E20 ∙ Unknown Soldier
A Navy physician is in trouble for having given to an Iraqi child a drug in short supply. The general's brother, a SEAL in SE Asia, believes that a recently discovered body is that of a helo pilot who died while saving the brother's team.
S10.E21 ∙ Dream Team
A sailor dies during a fight aboard a ship at sea; Bud discovers the explanation. A seaman releases two dolphins from their pen; justice prevails. Mattie wakes up and talks. The general announces a reorganization, orders, and a promotion.
S10.E22 ∙ Fair Winds and Following Seas
Harm and Mac get separate transfer orders; Harm gets a promotion. Vic investigates and resolves a fraudulent enlistment. Harm and Mac talk, then propose to each other; Bud flips a coin to decide which of them will resign from the service.
