Peter becomes the center of an investigation when four women he knows are found dead under unusual circumstances. He thinks that somehow the deaths are related to a series of vivid dreams he's been having.

The man is very ego maniacal that pushes people around and he butts heads with people at the station especially with Frank. Eventually he finds Caine and tells him, he wants him to help his father who is sick. Caine tells him he will see him when he can. The man goes out and runs into Frank and that's when Frank calls him out and they got at it and Frank ends up in the hospital. Caine later tries to help the man's father but he's so sick Caine can't do anything. When his father died, the warlord blames Caine and demands that Caine battle him to the death.
Caine's been summoned for jury duty where the case involves a homeless man accused of killing a businessman and robbing him. But the defendant claims the man was already dead when he came across him. Peter decides to go to the trial and as the prosecution makes its case, Caine gives Peter a look which is his way of telling him there were some anomalies in the prosecution's case. Peter has the forensic evidence reviewed and learns that the medical examiner made some oversights. Peter learns that the victim was heavily insured and the beneficiary is his business so the one who has a lot to gain is the man's partner. Peter tries to check him out but couldn't get anything. In the meantime the jury foreman was approached by a man who threatens his family if they don't come back with a guilty verdict. At deliberation Caine hangs the jury. Caine senses something wrong with the foreman and tells Peter that his family could be in danger.
Peter tries to save a beautiful woman who is under the hypnotic spell of a stage illusionist, but she resists him. Caine brings his own brand of magic to the nightclub as he battles the mentalist to deprogram the woman.
One of the Tong leaders has died. Clarence Choi, the man who tried to blow up Caine, is poised to take control of the Tong. Caine must help improve Peter's Kung Fu so that he can defeat Clarence, and end his chances of leading the Tong.
