S1.E1 ∙ Noite sem lua
Suffocated by Silvério Batista's men, who prevent them access to supplies, the cangaceiros suffer from hunger and thirst. Sick of living like an animal, Maria tries to impose herself on the gang's decisions and seek solutions, but there's resistance from the men and from Lampião himself. Meanwhile, Silvério victimizes Lurdes. Lampião finally carries out Maria's plan, and is questioned by the gang.
S1.E2 ∙ Santinha
What Maria feared most happens, and she is removed from the gang by Lampião. Back at her mother's house, she falls out with her sister Dondon and connects with her niece Amália. Silvério continues his trail of blood in search of Lampião's whereabouts. Lampião begins to show signs of illness. Dondon overhears alarming news and tells Maria, who decides to leave her mother's house.
S1.E3 ∙ O Batismo
Silverio's offensive ends with him taking a prisoner. Maria has a daughter, but she can't keep her. However, something seems to have changed, and she tells Lampião about having a new dream. Lampião tries to hide his fragile health from Maria. When Volta Seca gives a revealing interview to a newspaper, Silvério finds the best way to get to Lampião and plans to baptize the man with blood.
S1.E4 ∙ A Lei do Cangaço
Lampião is examined by a doctor, who recommends rest. The group spends some time at Federalina's farm. Maria is amazed by the lifestyle there, and wants to raise her daughter in peace. Federalina promises to help them buy a farm, but has another intention. Maria and Lampião do not forgive her. Lurdes and Curió get dangerously close. Lampião makes a choice that pushes Maria away.
S1.E5 ∙ Inimigo Público
Maria wants to leave with her daughter, but that is more complicated than she imagines. Silvério discovers her location. Lampião has a feeling and goes after Maria. He makes a promise to her. The group receives a visit who promises money and fame, and delivers on his promises. Now, Maria and Lampião have another problem: everyone in the country knows their faces. The government takes action.
S1.E6 ∙ Outra Vida
Following the promise to start over, Maria and Lampião go after their daughter. However, now their faces are too familiar to go unnoticed. Silvério and Lieutenant Durand, sent by the federal government to wipe out the cangaceiros, search for the couple's whereabouts. Maria and Lampião change their plans and decide to face their enemies.
