The series follows Monica, a college-aged medium , as she connects people on earth to their loved ones who have crossed over. At 21, Monica grapples not only with managing her unusual gift, but also struggles with the issues that all college-aged young women face, homework, roommates and finding Mr. Right.

Monica decides to take the plunge and move to San Diego permanently. Not wanting to be apart from her best friend, she invites Krista to join her. The girls make the long drive with puppy Luna in tow.

Monica meets famous medium James Van Praagh. Monica and Krista interview potential roommates.
S2.E3 ∙ Housewarming Fiesta
To celebrate Kirsten and Kayla moving in, the girls decide to throw a housewarming party. While out shopping for party supplies, both girls make it clear that they are nervous about Monica's abilities. But when Monica spends time alone with Kirsten, Spirit comes forth loud and clear and Kirsten reluctantly agrees to hear the messages.
S2.E4 ∙ That's What Friends Aren't For
Monica is stressed out over trying to balance her time between school, readings and a social life. At the end of her rope, she hires Krista as her personal assistant. Their first order of business is to go office hunting so Monica can do her one-on-one readings in private. Within minutes of looking at one location, Monica is overwhelmed by multiple spirits, who have all come through for one of the women showing her the space.
S2.E5 ∙ A Gift That Keeps on Giving
When Monica first accepted her gifts as a spirit medium, she sought guidance from several people. Now, with years under her belt, she feels confident to mentor Emma, offering advice and inviting the young medium to sit in on a session with a woman who lost her son. Later, Monica lets her give Krista a reading.
S2.E6 ∙ There's Something Fishy Going On
While at the school library cramming for midterms, Monica is distracted by Spirit and feels compelled to pass a deeply healing message from a sister to a fellow student. Her classmate Jerrica lost her sister, Trista, in a car accident, which also took the life of a fellow driver. Jerrica and her family have felt terrible guilt ever since, however, Monica is able to bring her comfort.
S2.E7 ∙ Family Matters
Monica is thrilled when her dad and sisters visit San Diego to see her new life on the west coast. Fellow medium James van Praagh asks an honored Monica to join him for a group reading event, giving her dad, who has never understood Monica's connection to Spirit, a chance to see her give a live reading. But Monica is concerned when James suggests they try "double linking" - both connecting to the same spirit at the same time. Monica is excited to unwind with her family at the beach, and forget the pressure of the upcoming group reading with James, but Spirit makes an appearance. Meanwhile, Monica gives an emotional reading to three sisters who are grieving the unexpected loss of their mother.
S2.E8 ∙ Muddy Waters
Monica commits to living a healthier lifestyle, but her latest session with her personal trainer is interrupted by Spirit. Later, an inspired Monica convinces her roommates to participate in a mud run. Although it seems like Monica has really hit it off with her recent blind date Tyler, Kayla is not convinced he's "the one" for her friend, and decides to find her another date. But when Monica passes on this new matchmaking attempt, Kayla takes it upon herself to question Tyler on his intentions toward her roommate. Monica finds it tricky to navigate being on a date while being contacted by Spirit, but ends up bringing comfort to a couple struggling with loss.
S2.E9 ∙ Hot Fun in the Sun
Monica receives an invitation to meet with a bereavement group in Palm Springs. Jumping at the chance for a fun weekend away, Kayla, Kirsten and Krista tag along with Monica on her trip. To make things even more interesting, Monica's roommates invite some hunky guys to join their excursion. Later, when Monica tells Kayla that she's receiving messages from Spirit for her, her friend has to decide if she's ready to hear from the other side.
S2.E10 ∙ School Spirit
Monica thinks the time is right to host her first solo event on campus and recruits her roommates for help. But the pressure of filling a large venue and sharing her gift with her peers leads Monica to break down. Monica and Tyler's relationship continues to progress, but while on a date, Monica encounters a woman still grieving the tragic death of her mother many years before. Meanwhile, the group decides to celebrate Kayla's graduation with a surprise paintball game.
