Monica is excited to unwind with her family at the beach, and forget the pressure of the upcoming group reading with James, but Spirit makes an appearance. Meanwhile, Monica gives an emotional reading to three sisters who are grieving the unexpected loss of their mother.

But when Monica passes on this new matchmaking attempt, Kayla takes it upon herself to question Tyler on his intentions toward her roommate. Monica finds it tricky to navigate being on a date while being contacted by Spirit, but ends up bringing comfort to a couple struggling with loss.
