S3.E1 ∙ Salmon: River Tweed, Scotland
The two friends fish for salmon on the River Tweed in Scotland, beginning their trip at the isolated Bemersyde Estate before moving on to the Bridge Pool at Kelso. They stay in a Romany-style roulotte caravan.
S3.E2 ∙ River Lea, Hertfordshire: Paul's Childhood River
Paul takes Bob on a trip down memory lane and back to the River Lea in Hertfordshire, where Paul used to come fishing for perch as a teenager with his mates. They are inspired by The Compleat Angler and meet a music icon.
S3.E3 ∙ Pike: Broadland, Norfolk
Paul and Bob visit Norfolk to go lake fishing for a monster pike, something that has eluded them so far on their fishing trips. They dine on army ration packs and stay in a cosy little house converted from a public toilet.
S3.E4 ∙ Brown Trout: River Test, Hampshire
Paul and Bob return to the river where they first went fishing together after Bob's heart surgery - the Test in Hampshire, fishing for brown trout and musing on the ephemeral nature of life.
S3.E5 ∙ Crucian Carp: Great Somerford Lakes, Wiltshire
Paul and Bob go lake fishing in Wiltshire for the shy and elusive crucian carp. They enjoy a vegetarian bankside breakfast, stay in a converted chapel and discuss the most important women in their lives.
S3.E6 ∙ Chub: Lower Wye, Herefordshire
Bob and Paul round out the third series by returning to Bob's favourite river, the River Wye in Herefordshire to fish for chub. They discuss men's health with Dr Anand Patel and stay in a converted dovecote in the grounds of a manor house.
