The Owens family of Pittsburgh, PA is overwhelmed because George is working, his wife Marsha is currently in law school, and their three children, Kevin, Heather, and Wesley, are not taking good care of the house. Enter Mr. Lynn Belvedere, a one-time servant of the British Royal Family, to keep this household in order despite George's apprehension.

After watching a ballet on TV with Mr. Belvedere, Wesley is so impressed with it that he decides to join a ballet class. However, George is disappointed that he chose this over a sport.

George gets into a fight with a spectator at a Wrestling match, which results in him dealing with a bruised ego.
S1.E5 ∙ What I Did for Love
Kevin goes to jail when he spray-paints a fur to impress his activist girlfriend.
S1.E6 ∙ The Lost Weekend
George and Marsha go for a weekend trip to Florida, leaving Mr. Belvedere in charge of Kevin, Heather, and Wesley. But things go out of control as soon as they leave the house: Heather, who is grounded, wants to see a Prince concert with her friends, and Wesley brings over a massage therapist.

George blames Mr. Belvedere for his constant snoring habits.
S2.E2 ∙ Tornado
A tornado that strikes Beaver Falls adds to the tension between George and Mr. Belvedere after Belvedere takes it upon himself to edit a story George is writing. Things reach a head when a tornado forces everyone in the basement and a pool contest begins between George and Belvedere and neither one of them will allow something like the weather to interfere with their competition.

Marsha objects to Heather being a cheerleader, but soon loosens up when she finds out that she herself was a cheerleader when she was much younger.
S2.E4 ∙ Requiem
Wesley blames himself when his accordion teacher dies during a lesson; he wished something would bad would happen to him, and by coincidence, it did.
S2.E5 ∙ Delivery
Kevin's friend gives birth to a new baby, in, of all places, the Owens' family living room.
S2.E6 ∙ The Contract
Kevin signs a contract for the prom agreeing not to drive in the event that he drinks. He does drink, and comes to believe that people like him better while drunk.

When George's paper goes on strike, the family is without income. Mr. Belvedere agrees to forgo his salary, while Heather and Wesley organize a garage sale.

Right before Thanksgiving, Kevin secretly joins the football team.
S2.E10 ∙ Pinball
When George orders a pinball machine for the garage, Mr. Belvedere becomes so addicted to it that he neglects his household duties.

Wesley wins a trip to Walt Disney World and gives it away, which impresses the whole family. But Belvedere is incredulous as to his intentions. And Belvedere and George sets out to see how can make more on the stock market.

Wesley is appalled when Mr. Belvedere becomes friends with his teacher.

When Marsha does poorly on an exam she decides to quit law school and go back to taking care of the house.

When George starts smoking again, he and Mr. Belvedere make a bet to see who can go the longest without indulging in their respective vices; he gives up cigarettes while Mr. Belvedere agrees to give up junk food. Meanwhile, Heather's boyfriend Sean makes a pass at Marsha.
S2.E16 ∙ Wesley's Friend
Wesley is supposed to play William Howard Taft in the school's Presidents' Day pageant, but an opening to play Abraham Lincoln comes up. The boy who was supposed to play Lincoln, Wesley's friend Danny, has been pulled out of school because he got AIDS from a blood transfusion. Not knowing anything about the virus, Wesley believes what his friends tell him about it and becomes afraid of Danny.

Mr. Belvedere refuses guardianship of the kids, even though George & Marsha asked him to take them, in case something happens to them.
S2.E18 ∙ Valentine's Day
Heather has a secret admirer, while Wesley is placed in an Advanced Placement class with a girl who is in love with him, and Kevin joins a band.
S2.E20 ∙ Amish
While studying for his exams, Kevin falls in love with an Amish girl, and wants to fulfill her lifestyle.
S2.E21 ∙ Dinner for Two
George wants a romantic dinner for two with Marsha, but when she has to study for a test Mr. Belvedere takes her place. George admits he's afraid that once Marsha receives her law degree, she'll leave him.
S2.E22 ∙ The Play
Mr. Belvedere directs Wesley's school production of "HMS Pinafore" when the teacher falls ill. Wesley is cast as the lead, but when Mr. Belvedere discovers a shy boy named Tommy with a far superior singing voice, Wesley is replaced.
S3.E1 ∙ The Thief
Heather and Angela get jobs at a record store, and Heather soon starts seeing a man there, who turns out to be a thief.
S3.E2 ∙ Grandma
Wesley makes friends with an elderly woman at a retirement home, but soon finds out the shocking truth about her: She has Alzheimer's disease.
S3.E3 ∙ Debut
After Mr. Belvedere saves George from nearly getting himself killed by an electrocution when his TV falls into the bathtub, George decides to quit his job as a sports writer, and become a lounge singer. However, Mr. Belvedere feels that George is making a big mistake, so he asks for the help of Robert Goulet to discourage George, but not before George proceeds with his debut at the Steel Towne Inn.
S3.E4 ∙ Kevin's Date
On Kevin's 18th Birthday, he dates an easy girl for an easy sexual experience.
S3.E5 ∙ Halloween
As Halloween approaches, Tracy wants to wear a revealing maid's outfit as her costume, Mr. Belvedere feels depressed after having cataract surgery on his left eye, while the Happy Guys invite George to become a member.
S3.E6 ∙ Deportation: Part 1
After Mr. Belvedere tells George and Marsha that Wesley cheated on his history test, just so that he could easily get an A and get a dog as a reward, Wesley tries to get him deported.
S3.E7 ∙ Deportation: Part 2
Mr. Belvedere is released from prison, and when he returns, he finds out that another maid has taken his place.
S3.E8 ∙ Reunion
George attends a High School Reunion, where he reunites with his old High School sweetheart Donna Flannigan, and Marsha attends a convention in Atlantic City.
S3.E9 ∙ The Spelling Bee
When Wesley enters a Spelling Bee contest, a girl pretends to be nice to him, just so that she can win the contest. Meanwhile, Mr. Belvedere bans the family's credit cards.

Marsha uses Heather's diet pills as a way to study hard for an exam.
S3.E12 ∙ Inky
Wesley fakes the death of his pet hamster Inky, just so that he could get a dog.

After being fired from his job, George goes to the unemployment office, and is soon classified as a "community hero", when he saves a woman from being mugged.
S3.E14 ∙ The Ticket
When Kevin gets a ticket just for going through a stop sign, something that he complains that he couldn't see because of a tree branch, Marsha tries to test her knowledge as a lawyer and represent him at court, but her attempts just end up getting Kevin in even more trouble.
S3.E15 ∙ The Crush
Heather's friend, Angela, develops a crush on Kevin. Meanwhile, Mr. Belvedere and Wesley go camping.
S3.E16 ∙ The Competition
Kevin decides to have Mr. Belvedere coach him in order to help him win against his father George in arm wrestling matches.
S3.E17 ∙ The Cadet
Fed up with Wesley getting in trouble both in School and at home, George and the family decide to put him into military school.
S3.E18 ∙ Kevin's Older Woman
Kevin meets an older woman, which results in him losing his virginity.
S3.E19 ∙ Baby
When Marsha breaks the news to Wesley that she might be expecting another baby, Wesley, feeling that she doesn't want him anymore, runs away.
S3.E20 ∙ Separation
Both George and Marsha's respective jobs have them spending little time together. Fighting soon erupts between the two, and when they try a marriage retreat at the suggestion of Mr. Belvedere, the plan fails, and they separate. Now, it is up to the kids and Mr. Belvedere to get George and Marsha back together again.

Wesley and his friend Miles both start a company that involves them doing odd jobs around the neighborhood. However, it's not long before Wesley lets everything go to his head, by firing Miles, and by taking advantage of his employees.

Mr. Belvedere is auctioned off to a female elderly widower for $500.
S4.E1 ∙ The Initiation
College Freshmen Kevin decides to bring the ugliest looking girl to a party.
S4.E2 ∙ TV George
It's George's first day as a sportscaster for a local television station. Although initial viewer response for him is positive, the powers that be still aren't satisfied, and suggest that he tries to make himself look younger by getting a face lift.
S4.E3 ∙ Triangle
Wesley has a crush on the substitute teacher. When she meets Kevin, they start dating which doesn't make Wesley happy. And despite being told how Wesley feels Kevin still continues to date her.
S4.E4 ∙ Marsha's Job
Marsha's trying to find a job as a lawyer but hasn't had much luck. Until a guy offers her a job at his firm. But it comes with strings attached.
S4.E5 ∙ Moonlighting
At a Fast Food restaurant, Mr. Belvedere meets an insufferable girl, and realizes that her family needs him just as much as the Owens family does. But soon, the Owens family begin to see less and less of Mr. Belvedere, and eventually, an all-out war between families over who gets to keep him, occurs.
S4.E6 ∙ The Wedding
Wendy comes back from college, engaged to a guy she met there. The guy asks Kevin to be his best man. At her bridal shower, a drunken Wendy comes onto Kevin, making him wonder if she really wants to marry the guy.
S4.E7 ∙ Fall Guy
Marsha returns home one day, and is furious when she finds out that her beloved "Home Sweet Home" pillow is ruined. She quickly accuses of Wesley of his actions, but Wesley denies any of it, and soon, everyone has a different account of what happened. But unbeknown to George and Marsha, Wesley is actually the "fall guy", and soon, evidence begins to emerge of what really happened.
S4.E8 ∙ Christmas Story
It's Christmas time and everyone of the Owens prefers not to do the usual tradition. And Belvedere is not exactly joyful. So Wesley does a little snooping and thinks it's because he has a lost love. So he brings her over and everyone is shocked to see who she is.
S4.E9 ∙ G.I. George
Wesley needs someone to use for his history assignment, so he considers using his father, whose Korean War stories have always wowed him. But then later he finds out he made the whole thing up, which disappoints him. Meanwhile, Mr. Belvedere feels left out over a family portrait.
S4.E10 ∙ Kevin's Model
Kevin takes an art class and meets a girl and they hit it off, but when he learns she's the model who poses naked things get weird. When Heather rats Wesley out, he decides to get back by gas-lighting her.
S4.E11 ∙ Commentary
The TV station tells George to do an editorial. When his first one bombs, Belvedere suggests that he add some controversy. So George decides to suggest that the National Anthem be discontinued at baseball games. The station manager then instructs George to quit but Marsha reminds him that he has a contract with the station. However, the station assigns George every demeaning assignment there is. When his replacement gets ill, the team asks that George fill in. When George appears on TV, he chooses not to apologize but states that he recalls a time when people at the ball games would stand up and look proud which he feels not too many people do these days. After that George has his old job back.
S4.E12 ∙ The Diary
Heather is outraged when Wesley and George read her diary and believe she is involved in a heated romance.
S4.E13 ∙ The Trip: Part 1
Angela and Heather are volunteering at a retirement home. They try to cheer up one of the residents but he's difficult. So try everything until he tells them what he wants.
S4.E14 ∙ The Trip: Part 2
Heather and Angela give Mr. Sparks what he wants; to go to Atlantic City. They bring Wesley along. She calls Belvedere and tells him where they are and he freaks out. Afterwards George and Marsha call to tell him they are going to Atlantic City. Kevin arrives and Belvedere asks Kevin to take him to Atlantic City but his car is broken so they hitch a ride with Robert Goulet. After Heather and her companions check in, they take Mr. Sparks out while Wesley wants to try his gambling system but because he is underage, he stays in the room. And Belvedere and George and Marsha arrive at the same hotel and they miss each other.
S4.E15 ∙ FoxTrot
Mr. Belvedere accompanies Marsha to dance classes, and Kevin becomes a dishwasher in a sorority.
S4.E16 ∙ Heather's Monk
Heather agrees to date a classmate who is committed to joining the priesthood.
S4.E17 ∙ Kevin Nightengale
Kevin decides to quit his part time job and tries nursery as a career option. Wesley studies Mr Belvedere chores and challenges him to do more work.
S4.E18 ∙ The Apartment
When Kevin feels a lack of privacy at home, he moves into his own apartment with Mr. Belvedere as a roommate.
S4.E19 ∙ Graduation
Wesley prepares to graduate sixth grade as valedictorian and wonders if it's time to stop being the class prankster.
S4.E20 ∙ The Counselor
Wesley's summer camp experience is marred by a counselor who gains his trust, and then betrays it with the manner in which he attempts to touch him. He is afraid to come forward with the truth until the man decides to take another one of the boys under his wing.
S5.E1 ∙ Fat Cats
When the station decides to change their sets which means that George has to fully appear on screen so he's told that he has to lose some weight. So they arrange for him to go to a weight loss camp. Wanting someone to come with him he drags Belvedere along. When they get there, Belvedere adheres to the program but George doesn't and they get thrown out. So they try to find another way to lose the weight.
S5.E4 ∙ Pigskin
Wesley decides to try out for the football team. He barely makes it. He was hoping to play but when a girl also tries out and it turns out she phenomenal, the coach puts her on the team. and Wesley is stuck on the bench. When he realizes she likes him, he takes her out hoping that she'll be so starry eyed that she can't concentrate on her football and he can play. And it works only problem is the team is now losing games and they blame him.
S5.E5 ∙ Marsha's Secret
When Marsha becomes unhappy with the law job she got, she quits and becomes a waitress but doesn't tell the family. Carl gets Kevin to join a contest wherein they could win a car if they hold on to a car the longest.
S5.E6 ∙ Duel
When Belvedere is laid up, they try to find someone to fill in. And by happenstance, Belvedere's cousin Galen, whom Belvedere can't stand, shows up. And takes over. But also it seems that he's come to settle an old score with Belvedere.
S5.E7 ∙ Roommates
Kevin meets a feisty woman while trying to get rid of his roommate's pet.
S5.E8 ∙ The Curse
Anatole, a foreigner who was Kevin's roommate till he threw him out, goes to the Owens along with his goat, as per his country's tradition that when someone is thrown out by someone, the family of the one who threw him out must take him in. But when they decide not to, he puts a curse on them. And now they are plagued by all sorts bad luck and misfortune. Kevin tries to adjust living with his new roommate, Casey.
S5.E9 ∙ Black Widow
When George appears on one of the stations talk shows, the host Barbara Collins takes a liking to George and makes him her new co-host. But she expects him to do more which he's not willing to do. And when he refuses she causes some problems for him like getting him removed from the sports desk and coming to his house.
S5.E11 ∙ New Year's
Mr. Belvedere rings in the new year by making a new acquaintance.
S5.E14 ∙ Stakeout
The Happy Guys of Pittsburgh return and they reveal that there is someone stealing shoes from women while they are wearing them. They dub him the High Heel Bandit. When Marsha is his latest victim, they decide to go in drag to get him. But he strikes where they were not patrolling which leads Belvedere to suspect that the bandit is closer than they think.
S5.E15 ∙ The Election
Wesley decides to run for class president and is ready to play dirty. But when he learns that his opponent is a paraplegic, he decides not to. But his opponent is just as, probably more devious than Wesley. And it's Belvedere's birthday and he tells the Owens that he would rather that they not do anything. But he is constantly expecting them to surprise him which they don't.
S5.E16 ∙ Mutiny
When George and Marsha decide to go on a cruise, they leave Belvedere in charge of the kids but when he gets a call from the Royal Family asking him to return he bolts leaving George and Marsha in a lurch. So they ask Kevin to look after the kids while they're away. George and Marsha learn that they were booked on a freighter, and it's during the cruise that they find themselves drafted onto helping out on the ship. And when things get out of control at the house, Kevin's roommate Casey has to step in to put things in order.
S5.E17 ∙ The Debate
Heather and Angela compete to see which one wins the captain of the debate team.
S5.E18 ∙ Really Full House
Kevin and his girlfriend must put their romance on hold when a married couple moves in.
S5.E19 ∙ The Book
Belvedere decides to publish his journals. When the Owens hear about this, they don't like their secrets being made public. But Belvedere goes through with it anyway.
S5.E20 ∙ The Escort
Kevin gets a job as an escort, and the woman he gets is an elderly, wealthy woman. The two of them have such a good time that she makes him an offer. And when Marsha and George hear about it, they freak out.
S5.E21 ∙ The Ghostwriter
To rekindle the romance in their marriage, George gives Marsha love poems. But they were written by Wesley.
S5.E22 ∙ Almost Heaven
Wesley is grounded but he sneaks out. So Belvedere goes after him but gets in an accident and ends up in a coma. The Owens stand over him. That's when he leaves his body and sees them standing over him. That's when he's approached by an Angel who calls herself Angel who looks like Angela. She tells him that they're waiting to see if he will be called to the next world or if he will return. And he says he is needed because without him the Owens would end up in chaos. But Angel shows him they can make it without him.
S5.E23 ∙ The Dinner
Mr. Belvedere helps Marsha improve her cooking skills, so she can impress her boss with a special dinner.
S5.E24 ∙ The Attic
After getting locked in the attic, Wesley T. Owens and Lynn Aloysius Belvedere bring back humorous memories since Mr. Belvedere met the Owens' family.
S6.E1 ∙ The Field
It's George's birthday. He's been pushing Wesley to excel at baseball and when Wesley decides to cheat, George is upset at him and Wesley say she did it for him. When they throw him a party, and help George relive some of life's greatest moments but only shows him at how he has done nothing he set out to do, like play baseball with some greats. So Belvedere decides to give George a different present. The next day at Wesley's game, he arranged for some great players like Hank Aaron, Willy Mays, Reggie Jackson, Johnny Bench, and Ernie Banks to be there. and along with George and Robert Goulet play Wesley's team.
S6.E2 ∙ Brain Busters
George and Wesley try to get on a father son game show but at a practice run, George sucks, so Wesley asks Belvedere to fill in. But at the show Belvedere dominates the game.
S6.E3 ∙ Truckin'
Belvedere gets George to invest in live commodities, pigs. While Belvedere sells out, George holds on to it without knowing that if he doesn't sell them, he will have to take possession of them. So dozens of pigs are sent to him. So he has to unload them. And the only buyer is out of town. So he hires a truck and he and Belvedere set out to deliver them. Eventually they like being truckers and decide to do it leaving Marsha and the kids.
S6.E5 ∙ Fear of Flying
George and Marsha are planning a trip but when George learns that they have to fly to get there, he backs down. When Belvedere learns that George has a fear of flying he does what he can to help. He takes George to the amusement park and they both go on the Ferris wheel. However, when they get stuck George's fear increases. Belevedere then enrolls George in a fear of flying therapy group.
S6.E7 ∙ Homecoming
Wesley makes a movie starring Mr. Belvedere for school. Heather's new boyfriend tries to not take no for an answer after the homecoming dance.
S6.E8 ∙ Fixed
When a woman claims that Wesley's dog is harassing hers and worried that he might impregnate her dog which she plans to breed. They instruct Wesley to have his dog fixed which he tells him they did. But when the woman returns with puppies she claims were sired by Wesley's dog, Wesley has to find homes for them.
S6.E9 ∙ Used Cars
When Kevin becomes a used car salesman, his personality changes and his conscience begins to take a back seat.
S6.E10 ∙ Counterfeit
George goes on a whirlwind spending spree, but doesn't realize the money he is using is counterfeit.
S6.E11 ∙ A Happy Guy's Christmas
Tis the season not to be jolly - Mr. Belvedere is cast as Ebenezer Scrooge in a local community production of Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol.'
S6.E14 ∙ Donuts
When the owner of Belvedere's favorite Donut shop dies and leaves the donut shop to him, it upsets Lou Anne, the employee who thought she's getting it. So she quits. When Belvedere spends too much time at the donut shop, the Owens hire Lou Anne to help out.
S6.E15 ∙ Runaways
Wesley runs away with Lou-Anne's daughter, Sheila. Meanwhile, the Owens family must help Belvedere overcome a curse.
S6.E18 ∙ Bad Marsha
A criminal, that Marsha is supposed to defend, that looks exactly like her, knocks the real Marsha out cold, and takes over her life.
S6.E19 ∙ Home
Mrs. Checchini comes to Belverdere begging for his help. It seems like her family wants to put her in a home. Belvedere doesn't do anything. And when he goes to visit her, he finds her with no spark as she usually does.
S6.E20 ∙ Mumsy
Mr. Belvedere's mom comes over for a visit, and while everyone else seems to love her very much, Mr. Belvedere, however, seems to be ashamed of her.
S6.E21 ∙ Mr. Belvedere's Wedding: Part 1
While at the laundromat with Wesley, Mr. Belvedere sees a very nice woman who works in the jungles of Africa, but came to Beaver Falls after work in the jungle had been put on hiatus.
S6.E22 ∙ Mr. Belvedere's Wedding: Part 2
Louise and Mr. Belvedere decide to get married, but Louise soon breaks the news to him that she has been called to go back Africa, and wants him to come with her. He agrees, but not without a final goodbye from old friends Skip, Angela, Robert Goulet, and of course, the Owens family, who have enjoyed six years of his company.
