The man is looking for someone and is willing to kill anyone to get to that person. It turns out to be the same person Adam was talking to. When he arrives they lock themselves in a room and the man heats it up hoping it will kill them or force them to come out. When Adam doesn't turn up Brennan and the others try to find him.
