Nash and Joe are on the trail of two brothers, heirs to a big Mafia family, which is complicated by the fact that Kelly used to be involved with one of them.
S2.E7 ∙ Night Train
Three young people, led by the unstable but shrewd Carrie (played by Brittany Murphy), hold up a commuter tunnel train for social security checks being transported but when they are not found and realize the train will soon come to the next stop, they halt the train and take everybody hostage, including Nash, Joe, Harvey, and Eve. Meanwhile, Lisa takes Cassidy to the emergency room when her daughter complains of severe pains but triage is a nightmare.

After twenty years without killing, notorious serial killer, Zodiac, taunts Nash to come after him and catch him. Meanwhile, Joe is working undercover to infiltrate a drug ring.

While Joe is reunited with his son J.J., Nash is stuck with an 11-year-old juvenile delinquent who is the key to busting a drug lord.

As Joe gets Nash's "Cuda" detailed secretly, as a Christmas present, it is stolen, much to his despair. Meanwhile, the rest of the SIU team are stuck at the precinct on Christmas Eve until they wrap up a murder investigation.

Nash and Joe must transport a protected witness across country to testify in a Federal case, but they soon discover leaks that endanger their lives.
S2.E14 ∙ Inside Out
Joe goes under cover as a prisoner to find out what is happening with a drug cartel leader who has had a friend of Nash and Joe's murdered and is up to more. Stacey tries to get Nick's Will in order with her, Nick and Nash.
S2.E15 ∙ The Counterfeiters
Nash and the SIU uncover a counterfeiting group where the money is top-of-the-line Supernote quality. Moving in to bust the group, they discover a fake SIU gang impersonating the police. Cooperation becomes tense as suspicions abound over who and what to trust. In the interim, as Nick gets in over his head financially with his horse costs, Nash reluctantly agrees to work with Joe on an off-duty case searching for a Super Bowl ring. However, Nash and Joe soon find themselves impersonating a gay couple as the case develops differently than Nash anticipated.

Nash helps a thief who turns out to be stealing parts for tech-savvy kidnappers who have his wife.
S2.E17 ∙ Knockout
After Stacey is drugged and nearly date-raped, Nash and Joe pursue a couple who are targeting people against their wills, for their own sexual desires. Meanwhile, Nash learns that Stacey has a secret.
S2.E18 ∙ Gun Play
Nash and Joe are chasing down a suspect when Nash gets a phone call. He learns that his daughter, Cassidy, has been shot at school. At the hospital, Nash gets another call. This one is from his father, Nick, who informs Nash that city construction workers are at their home unannounced. Nash apparently signed a waiver when he moved in giving the city permission to tear the place up to fix earthquake damage. To make a terrible day worse, Nash meets Cassidy's new, older boyfriend, Freddie.
S2.E19 ∙ Rampage
Nash's old partner enlists his help after his daughter is kidnapped by an armed robber. Nash and Lisa learn that Cassidy has done something less than savory.
S2.E20 ∙ Out of Chicago
The female version of Nash, out of Chicago working on a case, is on an apparent hunt, leaving Nash uneasy.
S2.E21 ∙ Moving Target
Rick Bettina is back in town as a bounty hunter causing trouble as he pursues a suspect Nash is after as well.
S2.E22 ∙ Wild Card
Nash's old partner is back in town, but trouble follows him; meanwhile, Joe has a money-making scheme involving Nick's horse.
S2.E23 ∙ Deliverance
Nash and Joe have to deal with some nasty ex-military types who have been killing drug dealers and taking their money. Joe's nervous about his baby being born. Nash finds an old letter his ex-wife wrote him dated the day of their divorce.
