Joe goes under cover as a prisoner to find out what is happening with a drug cartel leader who has had a friend of Nash and Joe's murdered and is up to more. Stacey tries to get Nick's Will in order with her, Nick and Nash.

Nash and the SIU uncover a counterfeiting group where the money is top-of-the-line Supernote quality. Moving in to bust the group, they discover a fake SIU gang impersonating the police. Cooperation becomes tense as suspicions abound over who and what to trust. In the interim, as Nick gets in over his head financially with his horse costs, Nash reluctantly agrees to work with Joe on an off-duty case searching for a Super Bowl ring. However, Nash and Joe soon find themselves impersonating a gay couple as the case develops differently than Nash anticipated.

Nash helps a thief who turns out to be stealing parts for tech-savvy kidnappers who have his wife.
S2.E17 ∙ Knockout
After Stacey is drugged and nearly date-raped, Nash and Joe pursue a couple who are targeting people against their wills, for their own sexual desires. Meanwhile, Nash learns that Stacey has a secret.

Nash and Joe are chasing down a suspect when Nash gets a phone call. He learns that his daughter, Cassidy, has been shot at school. At the hospital, Nash gets another call. This one is from his father, Nick, who informs Nash that city construction workers are at their home unannounced. Nash apparently signed a waiver when he moved in giving the city permission to tear the place up to fix earthquake damage. To make a terrible day worse, Nash meets Cassidy's new, older boyfriend, Freddie.

When a Mexican actress is shot at a premiere, Nash investigates. A reporter who was there, thinks that an actor whom the actress was involved with and broke up with, is the shooter. But Nash tells her to hold off until they have investigated it thoroughly. Later a man claims to have a video of the shooter and will sell it to the highest bidder but Nash arrests him for withholding evidence.
S5.E2 ∙ Trade Off
When kidnappers accidentally take the wrong kid, aiming for the child of a rich man, Nash must enlist the help of the man and hope the kidnappers don't find out. Caitlin's housekeeper drives Nash and Nick crazy.
S5.E3 ∙ Smash and Grab
Nash and company foil a jewelry heist ring posing as firemen. Nash hits a pedestrian and gets sued. But Caitlin has misplaced Nash's auto insurance bill, and he blames Caitlin.
S5.E4 ∙ Girl Trouble
Cassidy finds an apartment, only to be mistaken for the previous renter who has stolen money from drug dealers. Lonely Joe carries on an online romance, but the other "woman" turns out to be Pepe. Evan bottoms out in his broken relationship with Cassidy.
S5.E5 ∙ High Society
Nash and Joe's gig as a security system tester goes awry when the very item they stole and returned, goes missing again. Jake and Caitlin goes undercover as a couple to capture an elusive criminal.
S5.E6 ∙ Curveball
An embezzler with a twin, along with bumbling Rick Bettina, confound the efforts of Nash and the SIU to recover stolen city funds. Caitlin tosses Nash's baseball out the window after they miss their flight to Jamaica.
S5.E7 ∙ Split Decision
Nash investigates a man who may have robbed a bank and is claiming to have multiple personalities. However, Caitlin believes there is more than meets the eye going on. Nick tries to turn his empty life around.
S5.E8 ∙ Get Bananas
Evan puts himself under suspicion after he takes $40,000 of drug money during a bust; Nash and the SIU take down a drug dealer. Nash and Joe guard a chimpanzee, while Jake Cage goes undercover as an animal extremist.
S5.E9 ∙ Crosstalk
Nash and the SIU discover the Cell Phone Killer's intentions are to kill his doctor. Lonely Joe keeps having erotic dreams about Caitlin. Evan gets fired from his bartender job.
S5.E10 ∙ Kill Switch
When a witness chooses not to testify against some punks whom she saw kill someone because her family was being threatened. The prosecutor asks Nash to prove that they threatened the witness and he does. Later the witness is killed. They think the guys tried to make sure she didn't talk so they try to bring them in but one of them is killed. Which now makes them think they have vigilante. And an investigation leads them to suspect the prosecutor and she is belligerent when they question her. In the meantime Evan gets in trouble and calls Cassidy for help.
S5.E11 ∙ Rip Off
A small time getaway driver sets up two robbery gangs to rob each other, while he walks away with the loot and complete immunity. Evan is brought in for another chance in Joe's off-duty case concerning a kidnapped son who has had a gender change. The 'Cuda hood is graffitied, and Nash puts Boz Bishop on the case.
S5.E12 ∙ Skin Trade
Lowlife Frankie Dwyer returns, this time importing Vietnamese women as sex slaves, as Caitlin goes undercover as the seller. Nash has a tooth ache and refers to Caitlin by his first wife's name. Joe is aggressively pursued by bodybuilder Spike; Evan bumps into Cassidy in his job as a parking lot attendant.
S5.E13 ∙ Liar's Poker
Nash goes undercover as a hitman for a drug cartel. Nick's poker buddies plan a bank heist; Inger returns from Sweden with her mother; Evan gets his engagement ring back from Cassidy.
S5.E14 ∙ El Diablo
A married woman is murdered by her lover and his wife. Evan is beaten up trying to free his girlfriend/hooker from the clutches of a pimp. Joe takes Evan in, but Evan attempts suicide. Boz Bishop asks for a promotion at the detective agency.
S5.E15 ∙ Hit and Run
Frankie Dwyer returns again, putting out a contract on Nash's life while smuggling heroin inside of tofu containers. Nash and Caitlin's relationship is strained; Inger sets up Nick with her mother Ulla; Evan is born again in a baptism.
S5.E16 ∙ Cop Out
Nash pursues the disturbed brother of a dead cop, who uses the uniform to take law into his own hands and just plain take from people. Nick tries to get a driver's license.
S5.E17 ∙ Line of Sight
A gang war erupts - Nash and the SIU puts a drug gangster and his crew out of business. Cassidy comes on to Evan as their lovemaking is shown on a live camera web site. Joe and Nick get involved in a tax scam with Nick's racehorse - Mr. Woody, as the horse is once again fit to race.
S5.E18 ∙ Heist
Nash goes undercover to stop a high-end heist artist. Joe helps a restaurant critic who receives death threats; Evan is back in the SIU; Caitlin takes an administrative job within the department; and Harvey helps out a troubled 12-year-old boy.
S5.E19 ∙ Hard Cell
A gang of female prisoners escape in search of five million dollars in bearer bonds, while Nash helps the woman framed for the theft of the bonds. Joe has trouble with a delivery boy, while Cassidy considers a career with the CIA.
S5.E20 ∙ Missing Key
A nurse (and friend of Joe Dominguez) works for a plastic surgeon who has done work for the mob. She is murdered because she stole the before and after photos of altered mobsters. She leaves a key hidden in an unknowing Joe's golf bag, for which the mob searches fruitlessly. Joe then becomes a target of mobster Louis Fallon. Nick appears with Cassidy in her play as a last minute replacement but due to his health issues has trouble with his lines. Harvey meets a young lady with whom he is very copasetic but he is unaware of certain aspects of her personal and sex life which create potential obstacles.
S5.E21 ∙ Jackpot: Part 1
When the Police Chief is murdered, Nash sets out to find the one responsible, but his efforts are hindered by a government agent who wants to arrest the one Nash seeks for something she feels is more important than murder.
S5.E22 ∙ Jackpot: Part 2
After following the turncoat DEA agent to Las Vegas, Nash goes undercover as "Tommy Malone" to flush out Jimmy Z. In the process, Nash summons Evan and Harvey to come to Vegas to help him catch Jimmy Z's henchman who escaped custody. Cassidy follows Evan and proposes to him to which he says "yes" and then proceeds to go undercover at outdoor lounge with Harvey where they spot the escaped henchman and chase him into the hotel kitchen.
S6.E1 ∙ Rock and a Hard Place
A deranged ex-cop has planted a bomb in the city and will give the location to Nash only if Nash kills Joe. Meanwhile Nash must also handle bringing Harvey a new partner, evicting Joe and Inger, and Cassidy's first day on duty. Inger and Joe purchase a house that seems too good to be true.
S6.E2 ∙ Jump Start
Nash butts heads with Cassidy's partner in vice and takes over her partner's case. Joe takes on a private investigation from a wine seller's who's pricey vintage bottles are being held hostage.
S6.E3 ∙ Lap Dance
It's a double whammy with Nash and team having to deal with Tony B. and Tamara Van Zant. Joe goes undercover as a triangle player in an orchestra for a private detective gig.
S6.E4 ∙ Land Pirates
Nash investigates a series of robberies committed by an organized group targeting wealthy people. Joe seeks help in stopping a neighborhood speeder. Meanwhile Joe takes a side gig to find a missing cat on top of a gig Nash takes on to solve the mystery of a pregnant nun claiming immaculate conception.
S6.E5 ∙ ManHunt
Nash accidentally stumbles upon a group of Marines who've stolen D.E.A. property, lead by an ex sergeant of Babcock's. Harvey finds out Babcock has yet more secrets that have been kept. Nick sets up Nash on a blind date with his lady's daughter, whom has more going on than meets the eye. Joe has troubles with his contractor.
S6.E6 ∙ Double Trouble
Nash and Joe find not only themselves but their private investigators business impersonated. Harvey finds himself as the deciding vote in the neighborhood over a contentious issue. Cassidy investigates the supposed accidental death of a young college man.
S6.E7 ∙ End Game
Nash and Joe investigate a group of men killing each other to score points in a real life video game battle. Boz seeks Nash's help to clear himself of a murder charge, which also leads to surprising discoveries about Boz.
S6.E8 ∙ Blow Out
Rick Bettina escapes from prison with the help of an old foe of Nash's, leading on a hunt for him and the missing money. Joe has to deal with his contractor and his architect having a big fight and splitting.

A news reporter with a murderous stalker impedes Nash's investigation to help her. Joe decides to sell Inger's old car himself but things go bad when it's stolen and Joe is accused of having an affair. Harvey asks out a woman he accidentally gets naked pictures of.
S6.E10 ∙ Grave Robbers
Tony B is supposed to be dead, but his funeral leads Nash back to an old nemesis and blast from his past. Nick gets arrested for protesting the impending demolition of a building. Cassie goes on the hunt to find why this building is so important to Nick and how it ties into his past. Joe is accused by Inger of using marijuana, and Ulla is to blame. We find out about Nash's grandmother.
S6.E11 ∙ Bear Trap
An old acquaintance of Nash and Joe, a Canadian cop, is on the run from Canada and on the hunt in the U.S. for a couple of bad guys. Nash has McCabe write Cassidy's 20-week probation report. Nick has troubles with another pier fisherman that gets blown way out of proportion.
S6.E12 ∙ Recover Me
Nash and the S.I.U work to clear one of their own when McCabe is framed for a murder she didn't commit. Meanwhile, Dominguez looks for some muscle within the department to compete in S.F.P.D's annual arm wrestling competition.
S6.E13 ∙ Something Borrowed
Nash's estranged wife Tamara Van Zant shows up with millions of dollars in her bank account and a murderous former stepson out to get the family fortune back. She also gets mixed-up with someone that may put an end to her ways.
S6.E14 ∙ Out of Miami
Nash is reunited with an old familiar friend who is involved with gangsters out of Miami. They kidnap Nash in order to get a federal witness released from protective custody. Dominguez gets audited by the IRS.
S6.E15 ∙ Slam Dunk
Nash and the S.I.U investigate the shooting of two high profile lawyers by a former client, one of whom is killed. Despite the evidence, Nash suspects it's a set up. Dominguez buys a house without reading the purchase agreement.
S6.E16 ∙ The Partner
Nash and the S.I.U search for a man in a black hooded outfit who is practicing vigilante justice and calling himself a partner of Nash and his unit. Nash's cousin visits from Scotland.
S6.E17 ∙ Blood Bots
Nash and the S.I.U look into the world of battle bots and their builders to find out who's using their bots to rob convenience stores and armored cars. Dominguez thinks he's found an original copy of The Declaration of Independence.
S6.E18 ∙ Quack Fever
Nick tells Nash he thinks his son, Bobby is back and following him. They think he's missing in action in Vietnam but Nash knows he's alive and is in the drug business in Southeast Asia. Nash sees someone following Nick but it's not his brother, he's too young but he does look like his brother in his youth. Someone pulls a gun on him so Nash intervenes. He learns the one with the gun works for a drug dealer who also operates in Southeast Asia. Nash finds the young man and talks to him learns that he is the son of Nash's brother. And that his father and the other drug dealer were partners till they had a falling out and his father was killed. He's trying to get him and Nash offers to help.
S6.E19 ∙ Kill Joy
A psychotic man out to avenge his brothers death is tracking down all the Joy Larson's in San Francisco, killing some of them, until he finds the one that was his late brothers girlfriend. Dominguez is promoted to Lieutenant.
S6.E20 ∙ Change Up
Cassidy and McCabe walk in on a bank robbery and shoot it out with the perpetrators. One of the customers is killed, but it's unclear who's gun the fatal shot came from and Cassidy is suspended pending an inquiry.
S6.E21 ∙ Cat Fight
Harvey is enjoying a night out at a benefit concert when two beautiful young women use a front end loader to bust through the wall and then make off with all the proceeds on a custom Harley motorcycle. The S,I,U tracks them down.
S6.E22 ∙ Fair Game
Nash and company track down a serial killer who picks people up in a cab; Rachel reveals the truth about what she's been up to at the SIU; and Cassidy debates whether she wants to be a cop anymore. Though not officially advertised at the time of airing, this was the series finale.
