It looks at how alienation drove both of them to the Goth movement and later through a magazine ad to each other. Obsessed with Satanism they kill Ruda's friend Frank Hackert after inviting him to dinner. The are arrested but show no remorse claiming they are doing Satan's will.

Robert's daughter Clara Schwartz plays an online role-playing game and manipulates a deeply troubled fellow player Kyle Hulbert into kill her father for insurance money. Both are arrested and sent to prison with long sentences.
