The Orchestra is a tragi-comical workplace drama set in and around a symphony orchestra.

After taking on the position as the deputy head of the Copenhagen Symphonic Orchestra, Jeppe is forewarned about the peculiar habits of musicians. Soon, he finds himself entangled in a conflict with Bo Høxenhaven, the second clarinetist.

Bo's inappropriate comment to Anastacia is blown up by Simon Elliot into a major sexual harassment case. Jeppe is asked to take on the case before the role of the legal department come into play.

Bo seeks therapy for his troubling views on women. On Valentine's Day, he learns of Regitze's infidelity; Jeppe, shocked by conductor Marcellino's sexist comments, fights to protect the orchestra's dignity after the harassment case.

Bo gains popularity among the Orchestra due to his mother Vibeke, a medical secretary who provides pills to the musicians. Bo's newfound fame catches Anastacia's attention, leading to an invitation to her home.

As Eppe's doubts about Regitze intensify, he is determined to impress her by constructing a bookcase, but his efforts only yield partial success; Bo's student, Elin, enters the competition for a spot in the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra.

Anastacia comes back to Ukraine; Bo and Simon blame each other and their rivalry begins to deepen; Vibeke gets jealous of Elin and Bo's relationship.

Jeppe and Bo unite to eliminate Simon. Bo aims to undermine Simon before the Thursday concert, while Jeppe strives to rectify Marcellino's dismissal by appointing Mablewood.
S1.E8 ∙ Bonbons
Daniel Mablewood is introduced as the new chief conductor and his disciplinary approach is unmistakable. Bo cheats on Simon so that Simon is late and becomes unpopular at Mablewood. This pleases both Bo and Jeppe, but the management keeps their hand over the popular Simon. Tobias' parents have separated and Tobias' mother invites Jeppe home to talk about the children.

Bo confides in Vibeke, his mother, about his decision to leave home; During the Christmas party, Simon stumbles upon a skeleton mask in Jeppe and Regitze's car; Alma surprises her mother with an unconventional gift.

Following the shocking revelation of Regitze and Simon's affair, Jeppe decides to move out of the apartment. Bo extends an invitation for Jeppe to join him and Vibeke for New Year's, providing an opportunity for them to spend the occasion together.
