Henry currently works as Head of Surgery at Odda Hospital but is headed for his dream job at a more renowned hospital in Bergen. A new Danish doctor is set to take over his position in Odda, and there is tension between them from the get-go. Henry starts experiencing strong visual disturbances and secretly performs a head CT scan on himself.

Henry's health is deteriorating. He wants to find a cure without anyone finding out about his struggles. So, he steals a patient's identity. This way, Henry can prescribe painkillers to himself and try to figure out what's wrong with him.

In Ola's basement, Henry begins to experiment on himself. Henry is scheduled to perform a complicated surgery at the hospital when he starts to tremble uncontrollably. Is he able to do his job? Meanwhile, we learn more about Henry's past. Who is the woman who suddenly appears at his home?
S1.E4 ∙ A Simple Procedure
Henry travels to Bergen while on call in Odda. He must pass a health examination before he can start his new job. Agnes simultaneously goes to Haukeland, hoping to solve the "Samuelsen Enigma." While in Bergen, Henry receives a phone call from the hospital in Odda. A pregnant woman is experiencing severe bleeding, and he and Agnes must return at record speed. Can they save the woman and her baby?
S1.E5 ∙ Episode #1.5
In Odda, there is a protest rally against shutting down the hospital's emergency department. Henry doesn't care. He has other things to worry about. Agnes and Henry go head-to-head on how to treat a critically ill patient. This has enormous consequences for Henry.
S1.E6 ∙ Your Body Loves You
Alternative medicine goes against everything Henry believes in. But what other options are there when nothing else works? He travels to an alternative retreat center abroad. In a rare moment of total honesty, we learn a secret Henry has been carrying for years. When Henry returns home, he discovers the identity of the person who keeps shooting at the "Everything will be okay" sign.
S1.E7 ∙ Trolltunga
Henry gets help from local youths to get in touch with the town's drug dealer. He's at an all-time low and needs something to help with the tremors. Agnes tricks Henry into going on a hike in exchange for the answer to the "Samuelsen Enigma." While on Trolltunga, he tells Agnes that he's ill. Back in Odda, Henry shows her the homemade lab in Ola's basement. But where is Ola?
S1.E8 ∙ ER 4 Lyfe
A bus with kids from the school's marching band has slid off a mountain road. Several children are seriously injured and rushed to the hospital, including Pernille's daughter Jenny. Henry offers to help, but is he fit enough? Henry becomes passionately involved in the campaign against shutting down the emergency department. Henry and Agnes share some enjoyable moments. Is there hope for love after all?
