Knowing how important the banquet is, Rapunzel, Cassandra and Eugene all try to do their part to contribute and the trio constantly bicker and only notice one another's flaws. Cassandra is on Eugene's case because he wants to make the banquet into a party and she also thinks Rapunzel's welcome speech is cheesy. Although Rapunzel concurs that Eugene's party ideas are a little crazy, she gives Cassandra a hard time because she wants six guards at her post and a wagon full of weapons. Sick of them arguing, Pascal, Rapunzel's pet chameleon and Maximus, a royal horse, go to wise blacksmith, Xavier, who prescribes a mood potion which will soften their flaws and help them get along. The potion is so powerful, Xavier tells them all they need is one drop for each person for the potion to work. As a result of a loud noise, Pascal accidentally spills the entire flacon into some lemonade which the trio drinks. As the lemonade had all of the mood potion in it, the results are tragic and make everyone the opposite of who they are. Rapunzel turns blunt and cranky, Eugene turns cowardly and Cassandra turns sweet and bubbly. What are Max and Pascal to do?

Varian shows her a scroll which says what the rocks are made of in an archaic language and says that the Sundrop Flower, the flower that healed Queen Arianna when Rapunzel was a baby, could help stop the rocks from growing and, determined to stop the rocks, Varian devises a dishonorable plan to get it.
