Later, Amanda is babysitting and Busy comes over to hang out. The girls stumble on a sex guide and hide it so they won't get caught looking at it. Amanda struggles with keeping the book hidden when she discovers that it's fallen into someone else's hands. Busy attempts to ask her brother Dom about sex but is interrupted. Amanda must eventually face the music with her parents. After a frank discussion with her mother, Amanda's tension is released. Busy and Amanda then talk about their futures.

2Season 2

S2.E2 ∙ First Date

1994

Troy writes a poem for Busy. With some prodding from his friends, Troy asks her to go out with him on a bowling date. Amanda helps Busy to get ready for her date with some disastrous results. Busy's brothers seem to find out about the date and try to give her some well intentioned advice. Meanwhile, Troy has his own struggles getting ready. Busy doesn't want her father to know that she's going out so Amanda does her best to distract Mr. Ramone while Busy sneaks out with Troy. With Troy's father as the chaperone for their date, Troy and Busy start bowling with a bit of awkwardness. Busy decides to change out of her "date clothes" and into her regular clothes and begins to have more fun on the date. Troy's ego takes a hit during the date and it ends on a pretty low note. Busy and Amanda rehash the date at Amanda's house and Troy shows up to apologize for his behavior.

3Season 2

S2.E3 ∙ Family Therapy

1994

Busy's family is sitting down for Chinese takeout when her father gets a phone call from her mother (who has been away at her mother's house) and she tells them that she is coming home. Busy gets the house in order while waiting. The Ramones have a sit down and Mrs. Ramone agrees to only move back if everyone goes to Family Therapy. With the therapist, the Ramones begin to air their grievances. The therapist gives each family member "homework" for the week. Back at the house, Mrs. Ramone tells everyone that she is moving back in but that things need to change. The next evening, Busy makes dinner for the family and things are a bit quiet and awkward. Busy tries to keep the peace with everyone. The family agrees that the workload around the house should be divided equally to maintain fairness.

S2.E4 ∙ Poor Little Rich Girl

1994

Amanda tries to reinvent her style when she sees some hurtful graffiti about the way she dresses. Her hopes of asking her parents for additional clothing allowance are dashed when her dad comes home and reveals that he's been fired. Eager to help, Amanda lies about her age in order to start a waitress job, much to the delight of Chrissy and her friends. The owner soon discovers Amanda's true age and fires her instantly. She is then forced to enter a dance marathon with Busy in the hopes of scooping the $1000 prize fund.

5Season 2

S2.E5 ∙ A Little White Lie

1994

Busy and Troy are pretty much officially in a relationship. Busy, Troy and Amanda win two tickets to a rock concert while listening to the radio. The situation becomes awkward because Busy must choose between Troy and Amanda for the second ticket to the concert. Busy tries to talk Amanda out of going to the concert by telling a few white lies and ultimately revealing that the tickets are no longer available. When Amanda tries to talk to her mother about trying to get tickets to the concert, she can barely get a word in because of her parents bickering over her father being unemployed. Busy lies continue as she tries to conceal the truth from Amanda and her parents about going to the concert with Troy. Amanda's mother surprises her with tickets to the concert. Busy and Amanda bump into each other at the concert and things get tense because Busy must face the music with all of her lies. Amanda's feelings are hurt and she lets Busy know that it will take some time to forgive her.

6Season 2

S2.E6 ∙ White Girls Can't Jump

1994

Busy thinks about trying out for the basketball team. Troy has a girl for a lab partner, who is also black, and Busy starts to feel insecure about her relationship with Troy. Things get tense when Eve, Troy's lab partner, starts to compete with Busy for Troy's attention. The girls begin to bicker after a game a fling racial slurs at each other. Eve gets the upper hand by telling Troy about Busy being racist. Busy gets ousted from the team but ultimately decides to participate in the next game. Eve admits to saying racially insensitive things about Busy in front of Troy. Eve and Busy try to realize that their issue is less about race and more about fighting over a boy.

7Season 2

S2.E7 ∙ Break Up

1994

Amanda's parents are fighting. Trying to distract herself, Amanda goes to the mall with Busy. However, later that evening, Amanda's parents let her know that her dad will be moving out of the house. Amanda become angry at her mother for not trying harder to work things out with her father. Amanda attempts to talk to Busy about her situation by going to Busy's house. Not wanting to encroach on Busy's family time Amanda heads to the mall where she hides out while its closing. The night guard at the mall discovers Amanda and agrees not to call the police or Amanda's parents if she leaves with Busy and her mother. Amanda's parents sit down with her and remind her that they still care about her even though they live apart.

8Season 2

S2.E8 ∙ Amanda's Romance

1994

Amanda and her mom are moving into a new apartment when they come across a new neighbor. Amanda bonds with her new neighbor, a boy, when she finds out that he is product of divorce. Busy and Amanda discover that Danny, the new neighbor, is attending their school. Busy and Troy agree to go on a double date with Amanda and Danny. Busy gets upset because Danny is rude on the date and when Amanda confronts him, he goes on the defense again. When Danny continues to be rude at the dance he quickly finds himself isolated. Danny admits to Amanda that the way he acts is based on his insecurities and he apologizes.

9Season 2

S2.E9 ∙ Dear Troy

1994

Troy tries to make the moves on Busy while the are alone. Busy rebuffs every advance and starts to feel uncomfortable. Busy confides to Amanda that Troy is starting to act "weird" around her. Meanwhile, Amanda is lamenting the fact that Danny must leave for his mother's home in New York and she tells Busy that she's lucky to have Troy around. Troy keeps wanting to move things forward things get awkward. Busy finally gets the chance to talk things over with Amanda and she reveals that she wishes that things wouldn't change between her and Troy. Busy tells Troy that she wants to slow things down but not break up. Troy's feelings get hurt when Busy chooses to practice with her band rather than spending time with him. Busy struggles with telling Troy her true feelings but he is still hurt.

Amanda is upset when her mother starts dating again, so she attempts to ruin her love life. After her mother catches on to her, Amanda is forced to deal with the fact that her parents are not getting back together and that they're moving on with their lives.

S2.E11 ∙ Monkey See, Monkey Do

Busy's drum playing is annoying everyone in her family. She moves her practicing to school and meets an older boy, Peter. They bond over music and he asks her to play drums for him. Peter starts showing signs of having anger management issues. When Busy is over at Peter's house, she sees that Peter gets his temper from his father and later sees the aftermath of his angry outburst. Busy chooses to tell the school councilor about what she saw.

Busy and Amanda are hard at work on the yearbook when they go over the "Bests and Mosts" lists. A teacher asks Amanda to tutor an 8th grade student. Amanda worries that people see her as a nerd so she starts hiding her intellect. Amanda soon learns that she may not be so different from the popular girl after all.

Busy and Amanda are listening to a sex talk radio show and start discussing their experiences. Amanda goes to Busy's house and has an embarrassing encounter. Later that night, Amanda begins to worry that she is overly preoccupied with sex. Busy tries to get Amanda to help her solve a sexy mystery but Amanda is worried about seeming perverted. Ultimately the girls realize that they're curiosity is perfectly normal.

Amanda and Busy are off to summer camp. When they arrive, they are horrified to find out that they are placed in separate cabins. Each of them find themselves having to get along with a whole new group of girls. A mean prank is pulled against one of the campers and it goes further than planned.

After hearing a scary story while at camp, the boys pull a panty raid on the girls cabin resulting in an embarrassing moment for Amanda. The girls plan a retaliation but, when it comes to the execution, things go wrong. The girls talk about their fears in order to get through a dark and scary night.

Amanda and Busy spend time with Amanda's dad and come to find that he has some French friends visiting. There is a communication issue because the boys on speak French and the girls only speak English. Busy is feeling insecure about her body and wants to impress the boy she likes. The boys have their own insecurities but the girls can't understand them.

Busy's band is getting ready to compete for a position in a showcase. Meanwhile, Busy's family is getting their home ready for a big upcoming family reunion. Conflict occurs when Busy's band showcase happens on the same day as her family reunion.

Busy is working on some new music with her friend Bernie "Sag" when she finds herself feeling some jealousy over Sag's relationship with his ex girlfriend. Meanwhile, Amanda's attention is drawn to Henry who is into extreme sports. The girls begin to test the waters on new ways of gaining the boys' attention.

While feeling frustrated over her feelings about her mother wanting to move in with her boyfriend, Amanda begins wishing for her own Prince Charming to come and sweep her off her feet. Realizing that all of the boys in her class are far too immature, Amanda sets her sights on someone MUCH older.

A new group of stuck up girls want to be friends with Amanda. Amanda tries to get them to include Busy but they make it clear that she is not wanted. When Busy tries to fit in with the girls by revealing a secret about Amanda, things get awkward. Eventually, Amanda tries to find out from Busy why the girls are ignoring her and she learns the truth about what Busy said and it causes a rift. Busy does what she can to repair the damage.

Amanda is involved with a weekend acting workshop but her plans must change when her mother asks her to babysit her boyfriend's young daughter Pheobe. Busy learns that Ernie, a guy from her art class, has a crush on her. Ernie musters up the courage to ask Busy out on a date and she agrees to meet him at her brother's basketball tournament. Trouble starts brewing when Busy begins to have feelings for her brother's friend who is visiting from out of town and Ernie sees her kiss the other guy.

During a presentation by their guidance councilor, Busy and Amanda learn that they have a few new options for continuing high school. The girls get excited about the prospect of attending a performing arts school together but each discover that they have issues with their chosen paths.

After the ceremony, Amanda still feels like she may never reconcile fully with her father even though her parents seem to have. Busy and her brother Frankie decide to open a hotdog cart selling sausages from her father's shop. Trouble starts to brew when a rival hotdog cart shows up across the street and is manned by a cute boy who just happens to be the son of another meat mogul.

Amanda decides to take part in a protest for Animal Rights against a lab that conducts tests on animals. Soon, Amanda finds herself getting deep into the cause when she decides to go vegan and throw out all of her leather clothing items. When things get intense in the group, Amanda learns that not everything is so black and white.

Amanda is getting ready to celebrate both her mother's wedding and her 3 month anniversary with her boyfriend Milan. Amanda tries to plan a special night in with Milan but obstacles seem to constantly be coming up.
