Cheyenne starts smoking to take the edge off not drinking and starts using a pill that makes her sick if she has alcohol. Reba throws a party for her business clients and accidentally takes one of Cheyenne's pills. The party goes downhill.
Barbra Jean signs up Reba on a dating service website and convinces Reba to make a date with someone. Reba pretends to go out. Cheyenne & Van do the work around the house while Reba is out; Reba gets time alone to relax and enjoy herself.
A sales person in Reba's office buys houses out from Reba in order to flip it. Reba decides she and Van should do the same. Barbara Jean has a relationship with the navigator voice from the car.
Cheyenne returns from church with Elizabeth and shows Van the picture Elizabeth drew that does not include Van. Cheyenne wants Van to attend church with them. He no longer believes in God. Reba asks the minister for help with Van.
Reba and Jake take in a dog lost from Hurricane Katrina. The dog's owner track down their dog, and Cheyenne invites the family to stay with them until they get on their feet. Barbra Jean is in charge of Save the Dog campaign.
Reba is enjoying the preparations and pranks for Halloween, but sad when no one else plans to be home. Cheyenne goes to her support group party; Van is jealous she spends a lot of time with her hunky sponsor.
When Brock confronts his wife about her weight issue, Cheyenne adds Reba on the dieters' list of three.
Brock offers Cheyenne a dental internship at his office but Cheyenne announces she no longer wants to be a dentist. She enjoys helping at the senior center and giving seniors beauty makeovers. Barbra Jean is called to serve for jury duty.
Barbra Jean goes to her brother's home for Thanksgiving, but her brother arrives at Reba's place to have dinner there. Turns out Barbra Jean wrote letters to her brother pretending they were from Reba. The brother has feelings for Reba.
Reba and Van constantly bicker at the real estate office - Reba wants to be in control. Their boss insists they see a company therapist - or be fired. Brock & Barbra Jean see a sleep doctor who finds out why Brock is not sleeping at night.
Cheyenne helps at the homeless shelter and ends up just washing dishes. Barbra Jean goes on a business trip; Brock stays with Reba while BJ is away. Reba tries to kick him out, but he gets a kidney stone attack and Reba takes care of him.
Brock and Van go to a day spa for pampering. People there think they are a couple. Henry is out of control and Reba says Barbra Jean has to discipline him. BJ says she knows how to parent. Later, Jake blames a broken vase on Henry.
Brock & Barbra Jean get audited by the IRS, which leads to the IRS auditing Brock & Reba's returns for three years of their marriage. Brock has things to hide from that time. Van goes to one of Cheyenne's classes and is the hit among women.
After Barbra Jean tells her version to the IRS, Brock & Reba owe the IRA $75,000 in back taxes. Brock wants to sell his home, pay the debt, and move to Vegas; BJ does not want to move. Reba wants to talk him out of it for their kids sake.
Dr Morgan returns to town and wants to see Reba. Barbra Jean still has the hots for the doctor. Reba finds out Dr Morgan is still married and she does not want to be the cause of a marriage breakup. Reba talks to Brock about the situation.
Reba finds out Van controls the money in his marriage. Reba tells Cheyenne to be more involved and tells Van to treat Cheyenne as equal. Van decides the solution is giving Cheyenne an allowance. Jake makes money selling soda at school.
Brock cannot get a loan to pay the IRS debt; he decides to sell his house. Reba and Van buy the house and rent it to Brock & Barbra Jean. Reba insists on keeping it a business deal, but BJ balks. BJ decides to sprain her ankle and sue Reba.
Reba has laser surgery for her eyes. Barbra Jean takes care of Reba. Reba accidentally bad mouths BJ to BJ, thinking she is talking to Cheyenne. BJ is hurt and Reba apologizes. Reba says she is thankful for BJs friendship.
Reba is worried when she and Brock must attend an anger management therapy session that was mandated by the court during their divorce. Cheyenne and Van are required to be present as well, and Reba fears things have gone from bad to worse when everyone starts arguing in front of the therapist. Later, Barbra Jean crashes the session and the five adults end up telling the therapist about the crazy things they have done to each other over the years.
Barbra Jean gets a job as an insurance salesman and convinces Reba to buy a new policy. Unfortunately, during a required physical, it's revealed that Reba has high blood pressure, and Barbra Jean may be the cause. Meanwhile, Brock and Van worry about what to do for each of their impending anniversaries.
Cheyenne & Van decide to get married again and have a real ceremony. Everyone in the family has different ideas about the plans. When Cheyenne finds out Van invited his clients, Cheyenne calls off the wedding. But there is still a wedding.
Van and Cheyenne are not sure about their marriage after the failed second wedding. Reba collapses at church and is taken to the hospital. She wants to help Van and Cheyenne's marriage. BJ tries to help Reba, but that only makes matters worse.
