In the premiere of our series, Derek extracts a 1967 Ford Mustang that has sat dormant for 28 years. But the years of rust and neglect won't stop him from transforming this car into a new creation.
S1.E2 ∙ Bandit Chevy
Derek finds a 1951 Chevrolet Deluxe worthy of a new life. However, 44 years of sitting has taken its toll. He'll need to get it running and stopping if he hopes to tackle the hills of Chattanooga and make it home.
S1.E3 ∙ Termite Tempest
This time on Roadworthy Rescues, Derek saves a 1966 Pontiac Tempest with a rare overhead-camshaft six-cylinder engine. But just dusting off the cobwebs won't do this car justice. While Dan the Interior Man works his magic on the upholstery, Derek sets to work converting this OHC six to EFI.
S1.E4 ∙ Hotwired Tow Truck
Derek heads to a scrap yard to find a retired tow truck he can use around the shop. But this 1979 Dodge D300 has had a hard life and proves reluctant to go anywhere. Derek will have to hotwire the entire electrical system if he has any hope of making it home.
S1.E5 ∙ Bare Metal Bel Air
Fighting the overgrowth and the weather, Derek battles to get a 1964 Chevrolet Bel Air out of a field in Kentucky and back to his shop in Tennessee. With some help from his brother, Chris, the two intend to swap the Bel Air's tired 283 V-8 for a 350 small-block, but that proves to be no easy task. The two will have to pull the 350 V-8 out of Derek's Camaro if they hope to make it to their local dirt track.
S1.E6 ∙ Black Hills Blazer
This time, Derek returns to Zweifel Motors, the shop he apprenticed at as a teenager, and to a 1979 Chevrolet K5 Blazer that's been sitting for over 20 years. Teaming up with his brother, Sean, the two reassemble this parts truck into a full-on trail machine to tackle the Black Hills of South Dakota. Along the way they'll learn why this truck sat forgotten for so many years from Derek's old mentor, Roger Zweifel.
S1.E7 ∙ Motor City Model A
In Detroit's inner city lies the first Ford dealership in the state of Michigan. Long forgotten, this building is now home to a car club that is helping revitalize the local car culture. Here Derek finds a 1928 Ford Model A that hasn't run in over 60 years. For this task, Derek calls in the help of Model A expert Paul Shinn as the two will have to dissect this derelict 94-year-old car to figure out why it sat for so long. If they can get it running in time, they might just get the opportunity to drive it to Ford's legendary Highland Park Plant.
S1.E8 ∙ Rebel With a Cause
In the season finale of Roadworthy Rescues, Derek travels to Collier Motors, the last standing AMC dealership located in Pikeville, North Carolina. With more than 100 cars sitting derelict, Derek finds an AMC Rebel SST convertible that needs reviving. Parked for over 40 years, he'll try to get it running again and give it back to its original owner, who hasn't seen it on the road since he was nine years old.
