Three property experts scour the country on the hunt for Scotland's Home of the Year, with homes being awarded points based on functionality, distinctiveness and style.

S1.E1 ∙ Central Scotland
This week, the judges are in Central Scotland to judge an award-winning contemporary home, known as the 'humpty house' near the town of Kirriemuir in Angus, which comes complete with creative design features - including an unusual way of opening its windows. Next is a contemporary home near Coupar Angus in Perthshire, which stuns the judges, from its two-tone exterior to its balcony, which is a grown-ups' playground. Then, a new-build stone cottage in the village of Stanley, Perthshire, shows them a very creative use of antlers - and a kitchen that makes one judge fall in love. The judges will score each of them out of ten for functionality, distinctiveness and clever design; but which will impress them the most and make it to the final?
S1.E3 ∙ West of Scotland
The judges are in the west of Scotland considering three homes. They visit a renovated Edwardian family home in the suburb of Giffnock in Glasgow, with elegance built into every room. High above the Sound of Mull in Argyll, they find a stunning self-build with symmetry at its heart - and everything from a playfully placed mouse in the hall, to airplane wings in the living room. Then, overlooking Glasgow Green, there's a first floor flat that's a moveable feast, with sliding walls, hidden rooms and, as one judge discovers, a generous bath. The judges will score each of them out of ten for functionality, distinctiveness and clever design to decide which one makes it to the final.
S1.E4 ∙ South of Scotland
In this programme, the judges are in the south of Scotland, evaluating three homes. One is an innovative eco-home on the outskirts of Innerleithen, nestled beautifully in a forest and complete with striking design features - including blinds on the outside. There is a lovingly renovated and extended 19th-century cottage in the town of Moffat, which boasts the best shed one judge has ever seen and a striking 'upside down' cylindrical home on the Solway coast near Kirkcudbright, with views that very nearly render the judges speechless.
