Annie and Ryan escape the potential wrath of the Troll and go camping. But reality comes crashing down when Annie finds out her dad is alone, and her mom skipped town to Vancouver.
S2.E2 ∙ Kevin
Annie starts her freelance career by interviewing the Troll. Fran is heartbroken after she finds out Vic is not exclusive. When no one reads Annie's article, she realizes going freelance may not be as positive a move as she thought when she quit The Thorn.
S2.E3 ∙ Skate
After a month of being her own boss, Annie is starting to crack. Ryan joins her at a roller-skating party to reconnect with her old friends.
S2.E4 ∙ Freak
Annie returns to The Thorn but has been relegated to the Freak of The Week Column. Meanwhile, she takes Ryan to dinner with her parents.
S2.E5 ∙ Wedding
Annie goes with Fran to her cousin's traditional Nigerian wedding and reconnects with Fran's brother Lamar.
S2.E6 ∙ WAHAM
Gabe gives Annie a meaty article to write about a women in business convention. Though Annie thinks it's a way to monetise feminism, Gabe guides her to a conclusion about society.
S2.E7 ∙ Salon
Annie meets the publisher of The Thorn and the interaction makes her realise that she's been selling herself short in her personal and professional life.
S2.E8 ∙ HR
Annie finally deals with the parts of her life that still challenge her - Ryan and her mom. Fran realises that she doesn't need to depend on relationships.
