On the day of his uncle's funeral, Karl gets caught up trying to get rid of an old sofa. He begins to question if it's the sofa that needs to change or himself.
Next-door's screaming baby pushes Karl to the edge. A series of events lead him to wonder if he could ever be a father.
Karl needs some me-time and decides to escape Auntie Norma for a holiday in the middle of nowhere. However, his hopes of a quiet week are dashed when the nosy locals discover he is on his own.
Karl takes Norma to Eastbourne where she and Uncle Vinnie met when they were young so Norma can remember the past but when looking for a photo of Vinnie, Karl discovers a family secret.
A series of surprise passengers in his cab cause Karl to question if he'll ever get back together with his ex-girlfriend.
When Karl suffers from constipation he realises that he needs to get over Zoe and start dating again but he finds himself constantly saying the wrong things.
