S1.E2 ∙ Coming of Age
DC makes a daring decision to also take a chance on a new Superman movie during a time of dwindling comic book sales, which completely resets DC's whole universe. With the aim of developing comic books into an enduring adult art form, DC debuts their first Black Super Hero and pushes the frontiers of storytelling under their new imprint, Vertigo Comics, as competitors start to address urgent social themes.

In order to give voice to underrepresented characters and tales that were inspired by their own experiences, a group of varied creators who were fed up with being left out of the conversation founded Milestone Media. After more than 80 years of existence, DC's creators are looking forward a future that is inclusive of everyone in their ever expanding universe.
