Sun Hill attempts to come to terms with its loss as the names of dead officers are read out and Chandler vows to catch the bombers responsible. Lennox and Glaze team up to search for prime suspect Simpson. But when they find him and question him, he denies any involvement in the bombing.

S18.E21 ∙ A Peg or Two

Taviner must deal with the possibility that Harker might survive, and the consequences it will bring. Meanwhile, Chandler appoints Boyden as Acting Inspector, while McAllister forges evidence in order to bring about a confession.

The day of the memorial service arrives, and DC Sharpe is thrown in at the deep end on her first day when McAllister puts her to the test. A panic-struck Taviner is determined to find Harry Fullerton before the Murder Investigation Team, but Chandler hampers his progress. Chandler's hollow speech at the memorial is too much for DC Webb, who is at breaking point. Carver tries to patch things up with Ackland.

S18.E24 ∙ Needle in a Haystack

Harry Fullerton is arrested - confusing Taviner, who is perplexed as to his motives. Chandler lets McAllister know where they stand, but her response surprises him. Carver thinks his luck is in, but Ackland puts rank before romance. Glaze and Sharpe join forces to investigate an assault on a taxi driver which isn't as straightforward as it appears. Webb tries to find evidence against Chandler.

S18.E25 ∙ Walking on Water

When stolen cheques turn up on the streets of Sun Hill, the police target a known fraudster. On visiting his home, his ex-wife claims her husband has left and that she is living with a new man. PC Rickman is caught out while off-duty when she takes an ecstasy tablet while clubbing, only to be called to a crisis. Meadows and Webb uncover Chandler's lies, while McAllister has Chandler where she wants him.

Guilty Taviner is desperate for his double bluff to work. Klein and Rickman respond to a domestic violence call.

The police have a tough task on their hands in trying to establish the guilt of two bungling armed robbers when both start telling contradictory stories about what happened. Taviner finds the evidence he needs to pin the bomb attack on Simpson, but DS Devlin is still suspicious of him. When DI Cullen covers for Chandler, Meadows knows he is lying and that Chandler can't be protected forever.

S18.E29 ∙ Tough Love

An old style big time crook, Frankie Steele, pays a visit to Sun Hill and asks DCI Jack Meadows to scare his youngest son, Toby, away from the crime game...without letting on it was his own dad who's grassed him up. While it seems like a simple nick 'em and scare' em kind of job, Jack's been burnt by Frankie's kind before, and unless he gets some kind of favour in return it's not going ahead. More importantly, can he risk screwing up while trying to bring down Superintendent Chandler? PC Des Taviner is uncharacteristically eager to let PC Tony Stamp drive the area car for the shift while he accompanies MIT on the search at Simpson's bookshop premises. When a pair of trousers covered in glass and fuel turns up in his wardrobe Simpson swears blind it's a fit up...and finally loses his cool. While the majority of the relief enjoy a laugh with Reg's lottery scheme, relations are not running so smoothly in CID. DC Eva Sharpe receives some bad news DS Debbie McAllister should have relayed to her earlier in the day. It couldn't be further from shake hands and make up time.

S18.E30 ∙ On the Pitch

PC Tony Stamp organizes a Sun Hill team to play a match against a group of young offenders. He's got his job cut out for him convincing Cass she's their secret star weapon and keeping Matt Boyden and Craig Gilmore from shedding blood on the pitch. While Matt's unrelenting homophobic comments cause the two sergeants to practically trade punches it's the young offenders that come under the spotlight during the game. After an old man is discovered dead in his council flat nasty rumours about his pedophile past mean Danny and Eva have their work cut out getting the truth out of the kids. Meanwhile Danny's in a crisis. He's got an interview with the MIT team and Des's career hangs in the balance while he decides whether or not to corroborate his story. Should he say he heard Simpson confessing to blowing up Sun Hill and killing some of it's finest officers, does the end justify the means? And CID doesn't get any calmer. With Danny in knots, Duncan still coping with his separation, Mickey and Jack still chasing the Superintendent's tail, a cat fight between DS Debbie McAllister is pretty much par for the course. And when Mr Chandler catches them swinging at each other, no holds barred, he has a word or two to say about it. Not before watching for a while though.

S18.E31 ∙ Vigilante

Craig starts the day filing a grievance procedure against Matt after last week's homophobic taunts but Sgt June Ackland warns him off. She quietly suggests that "There's no better teacher than experience." A nudge and a wink in Matt's direction raises an eyebrow or two, along with Matt's blood pressure. PC Tony Stamp takes young Gary out on the streets to track down a mysterious vigilante who's been beating up kids from the local Estates. His streetwise approach proves invaluable with the youngsters- but nothing he's got up his sleeve can prepare him for being stuck between DS Debbie McAllister and DC Eva Sharpe's game of one-upmanship. But Cass discovers the darker side of clubbing when a friend collapses mid-conversation and her night ends in an ambulance ride.

S18.E32 ∙ Ruffled Feathers

DC Ken Drummond turns up for his first day at Sun Hill. Fresh from Barton Street nick, he steps straight off a burger van, and into CID. With tensions rising between Debbie and Eva and DI Alex Cullen doing his utmost to contain it he'll wonder what kind of mad house he's lumbered with. Never mind, a fry up will sort all that out. After the horror of attending a suicide PC's Nick Klein and Cass Rickman go on to discover a couple of children playing in contaminated waste. It's just the tip of a toxic iceberg but Cass's mind is elsewhere. She's beside herself over the loss of her handbag. There was an 'e' loose in there, likely to be nestled right beside her warrant card. Inspector Gina Gold turns up for duty, (fag in hand) and takes no time to ruffle feathers. Not before stashing her bottle of whiskey and putting her ashtray in pride of place though. She makes it clear it's her show, she'll be running it, and anyone thinking differently had just better re-evaluate their position. Starting from the top down. Sun Hill's lottery syndicate with Mystic Reg at the helm gets underway. Superintendent Chandler catches the lads unawares and offers to join up. They don't want him in their gang and someone has to be the bearer of such glad tidings. It doesn't take much arm-twisting getting DC Mickey Webb to pass the bad news on...and with such relish. But that's not the end of it and Mickey picks Des's brain for more dirt in Chandler's past.

S18.E33 ∙ Prove Your Worth

PC Luke Ashton returns to Sun Hill after three years away. But his first day goes from bad to worse and it soon becomes clear Luke won't be getting any special favours, especially from Sgt Craig Gilmore. The new Community Safety Unit opens under the control of Sgt June Ackland but will her bad start with Insp Gina Gold hamper the department's progress? And it's Trainee Detective Brandon Kane's first day, will he prove he is worthy of June's new division? Following a tip off from PC Des Taviner, DC Mickey Webb pays a visit to a former colleague of Supt Tom Chandler. He is intrigued by what Ex DCI Peter Marsden has to say. Could Marsden be the link Mickey and DCI Jack Meadows need to bring down Chandler once and for all? And true to form, young PC Gary Best decides to rekindle a romance with an ex-girlfriend, but will her new job come between them?

S18.E34 ∙ Aptitude Test

Frustrated PC Luke Ashton is desperate to prove himself but Sgt Craig Gilmore seems determined to hold him back. However, when Craig goes to investigate a homophobic assault he takes Luke to accompany him. But does Luke have the aptitude needed for such a sensitive issue? Later Inspector Gina Gold is furious to hear of their feeble progress so barges in with a more forceful approach - but are her actions too extreme? PC Cass Rickman impresses Sgt June Ackland when she gets involved in a bitter father/daughter row. Cass is determined to protect the girl from Shane, her sinister boyfriend, but will the girl see sense and drop the matter before taking her father to court? Meanwhile PC Tony Stamp and PC Gary Best catch Lee Dwyer robbing a newsagent but rather than make an arrest Tony decides to help him. Is Tony acting beyond the call of duty? Luke has to make a decision about where his loyalties lie, but with a complaint against him already he's out of the frying pan into the fire. Inspector Gina Gold faces spot of bother when a solicitor complains against her rather unorthodox policing methods. That is, if you call kneeing a thug in the balls unorthodox. Luke is dragged into the Superintendent's office as the witness, with Gina's hopes pinned on his answer. Meanwhile Sgt Gilmore 's received an official complaint against the young PC but he feels compelled to help. After using his charm on a scared resident of a run down apartment block DC Ken Drummond makes headway into an arson investigation. Though while she describes a local criminal as the culprit the bigger picture looks like her greedy landlord is trying to smoke her out. The arson aspect makes Danny's work even more personal. Superintendent Chandler gets his chance show off the new CSU when a journalist offers to spend a day following a case. He decides TDC Brandon Kane's case of a father assaulting his teenage daughter's boyfriend is the one to follow. Brandon warns him off suggesting he follow another incident. He's about to discover the old adage "Any press is good press" isn't true in all cases. Two of Sun Hill's officers have gone AWOL and both are hunted fervently. The lottery syndicate numbers have come in but Reg is busy coaxing cats down from trees. The other, Debbie McAllister, is still away ill and Tom Chandler finds out the reason soon enough, and it couldn't be more detrimental to his precious career.

S18.E36 ∙ Too Close to the Wind

PC Luke Ashton goes against Sgt Craig Gilmore's direct orders and bravely follows a crazed gunman after hearing a shot. When he disappears out of view and another gunshot is heard Gilmore's worry appears more than professional. Cass convinces Nick that a good night out doesn't always have to involve drugs so he's surprised when he manages to pull an attractive young woman. After revealing she's a hairdresser, he carries on his fantasy by informing her he's a pilot. In the cold sober light of day it turns out they have a lot more in common than originally suspected. DS Debbie McAllister is coerced into a stint as a babysitter for Eva Sharpe's daughter when the childcare suddenly falls through. She surprises even herself by doing such a good job, which makes the decision facing her and Supt Tom Chandler even more difficult. Meanwhile PC Tony Stamp puts his neck on the line when young Lee Dwyer is accused of serious vandalism at his school. The head threatens him with expulsion but Tony intervenes and mediates between the two. But is Lee really so innocent and worthy of his trust?

S18.E37 ∙ Playing Runaway

Des's blackmailer starts to put the squeeze on. So after parting with his first installment of cash he decides the only way out is intimidation or confession. Neither look particularly good for enhancing his career in the Police Force. The tenser Des becomes the more determined he is to find out who's behind the extortion and it's God help anyone who gets in his way. When Lee Dwyer gets caught displaying his graffiti artistry it's the more level-headed officers to the rescue. DI Alex Cullen has his work cut out keeping an eye on his delinquent cops. After witnessing June and Jim's mug-hurling altercation he demands to know what their problem was. Jim's answer to healing the rift comes in the form of a quiet night out - and three choice little words. New PCs Luke Ashton and Kerry Young are called to a domestic incident at Lee Dwyer's house, so to teach his parents a lesson he plays runaway and visits a surprised Tony Stamp first thing in the morning.

S18.E38 ∙ Old Tricks

Out on a pub crawl to celebrate a new PC's engagement the relief are suddenly overjoyed when Reg's winning line comes up on the lottery. While the syndicate members spend the millions over and over in their heads, Mickey heads off to tell Supt Tom Chandler where he can stick his job. Insp Gold, meanwhile, notes that Reg is acting quite out of character and avoiding the others. He wouldn't be planning to skip the country with the money, would he? When designer jackets go missing from a local department store and turn up on the local estate CID decide ex-con Joe Nash must be back up to his old tricks. But no-one can explain the mystery of the self-editing security tape. Sun Hill's romances are up and down. Jim's positivity about their relationship rubs off on June and they share a kiss while the other side of the coin sees Supt Tom Chandler dropping DS Debbie McAllister off at the abortion clinic leaving her to go through with the operation alone. And Lee Dwyer's parents arrive at Sun Hill to make a very serious accusation. One that will send PC Tony Stamp's reputation reeling.

S18.E39 ∙ Missing Without Trace

Lee Dwyer arrives with his mother and step-dad at Sun Hill to press his very serious allegation against Tony Stamp. It's an accusation that sends the team reeling and divides their loyalties when all the evidence points to his guilt. PC Jim Carver's position at CSU puts him in the awkward position of being appointed Lee's Family Liaison Officer. It leaves Tony wondering if anyone really is on his side. As PC Des Taviner so delicately puts it, "Where there's smoke there's fire", and PC Cathy Bradford's charming observation that, "Mud sticks". Cathy's on a roll with her canteen gossip and makes a bee-line to new PC Kerry Young's fiancé. She tries on her best seduction routine but when he shows no interest Cathy deviously spills the beans on Nick and Kerry's one night liaison. When father of teenage temptress Liz Chambers reports his daughter missing Brandon and Cass make enquiries. They pay a visit to her older boyfriend's house where they discover her bed isn't even cold. It seems he's not too worried about her disappearance when they find him shacked up with another teenager.

S18.E40 ∙ First Day Collar

When cocky new DS Phil Hunter reports for duty he wastes no time bringing in arrests. He flirts with wives of suspects and doesn't play by any of the rules. He's clocked as a difficult one to handle but if he's toting up the convictions who's to complain? Even if his probing turns up an unwelcome visitor for Nick and Cass. Cass is in trouble at every turn when PC Kerry Young discovers the rumour spreading that led to her engagement break up originated from Cass. Higher on Cass and Nick's priorities is dodging accusations of drug taking when DS Phil Hunter brings in their dealer. PC Jim Carver is still tasked with the unpleasant duty of being PC Tony Stamp's Family Liaison Officer. He assures the family that despite PC Stamp being 'one of his' they will continue a full and thorough investigation into the abuse accusation. Tony begins to doubt Jim's belief in his innocence and a covert meeting with DC Danny Glaze does nothing to improve his position. DI Alex Cullen is left fuming when the brutal murder of teenager Liz Chambers is handed over to Barton St. His anger gives way to dropping Jack Meadows a name from the superintendent's past, ex-DCI Marsden. Jack pays him a visit only to find one copper can't fool another. The road to Tom Chandler's destruction isn't as easy as they'd hoped it would be.

S18.E41 ∙ No Loyalty

Cleared of allegations of child sex abuse, PC Stamp cannot forgive PC Carver. TDC Kane takes over as Lee Dwyer's Family Liaison Officer. Supt Chandler catches DCI Meadows and DC Webb investigating his background. Sgt Gilmore is embarrassed by his boyfriend.

S18.E42 ∙ Conflicting Information

TDC Kane deals with troubled teenager Lee Dwyer. DCs Sharpe and Glaze get conflicting tip-offs about a planned bank robbery. Sharpe investigates a case of indecent exposure. Supt Chandler tries to persuade DS McAllister to abort their child.

S18.E43 ∙ Bait

PC Young acts as bait to trap a flasher, but the suspect could be a vital witness to a shooting. DI Cullen and Supt Chandler fall out over an assault on DS McAllister.

S18.E44 ∙ Loggerheads

DC Glaze investigates a violent assault. Insp Gold and DCI Meadows clash over the handling of a suspect. PCs Hollis and Taviner are attacked in the Area Car.

S18.E45 ∙ Protection

The relief attend a call to a protest outside a research laboratory involving a group of animal rights protestors. During the protest, Taviner gets a bit heavy-handed with a protestor who refuses to move back, and ends up dishing out a harsh beating. As the trouble continues, Young and Ashton are personally assigned to protect the head scientist. After discovering that he has received a number of death threats, the pair soon find themselves in the middle of a bomb scare. An official complaint is made against Glaze for his investigation into Tina Pope's bit on the side, while the protestor whom Taviner assaulted also makes a complaint. Cullen informs Chandler he has requested a transfer.

S18.E46 ∙ Impostors

A spate of robberies are reported in the local area, and it is soon discovered that the culprit is impersonating Ackland in an attempt to get away with her crimes. Ashton attends a call to a domestic, and arrives to find himself intercepting a row between Gilmore and his boyfriend. As the chemistry between them increased, Young and Ashton out on a date. McAllister has no choice but to inform Meadows of her pregnancy when her bump starts to show. Rickman seduces a local journalist, Simon Kitson, but after one too many fears that she may have landed herself in hot water with the relief. An agitated Cullen continues to press Chandler for a transfer, but Chandler continues to block his move.

S18.E47 ∙ Officer Down

Glaze panics when his star witness, Tina Pope, disappears without trace, hours before she is due to appear in court, but fails to establish an obvious connection between Pope and murder victim Liz Chambers. Taviner is horrified when Hollis fails to show up for parade, and soon receives information from Simpson and his cronies that Hollis has been kidnapped. Taviner has no choice but to go it alone, in fear that sparking involvement from his fellow officers could result in his involvement in the firebombing being exposed. Rickman continues to be hassled by journalist Simon Kitson. On his last day at Sun Hill, Cullen pulls a fast move and convinces Lennox to join him in a new job with MIT.

S18.E48 ∙ One Last Day

Glaze continues to struggle to keep his mind in the right place with the stress of the impending trial hanging over him, but is left speechless when Tina Pope is found murdered on the bank of the Thames. Taviner's conscience gets the better of him, and he is forced to confess to Gold and Meadows that Hollis has been kidnapped and with Jeff Simpson's trial about to begin, he ponders whether or not to confess about his falsified evidence in light of the situation. Gilmore is upset to discover that Ashton is dating Young, however, his upset is quickly overturned when he shares an unexpected kiss with Ashton following a result. Lennox celebrates his final day at Sun Hill before transferring to MIT.

S18.E49 ∙ Tactful Approach

McAllister investigates a complaint of threatening behaviour, in which a woman has reported being harassed by one of her neighbours. As usual, she takes a less than tactful approach and threatens to blow up a volatile situation with her attitude. On her first day at Sun Hill, Samantha Nixon discovers a link between the murders of Liz Chambers and Tina Pope, and begins to suspect a serial killer is on the loose in Sun Hill. Glaze's mind is all over the place, and during his day in court, he refuses to corroborate Taviner's falsified story under oath. However, the pair have a lucky escape, as before Glaze can provide his testimony, Jeff Simpson changes his plea to guilty of all charges.

S18.E50 ∙ Certain Uncertainties

Hunter receives a tip-off which suggest that drugs are being peddled through a local nightclub, so he decides to set up an undercover operation in the club with Klein at the helm. In light of Cullen's transfer to MIT, the job of acting inspector is offered up, and McAllister is certain that she will get the job, having been at Sun Hill much longer than her fellow counterparts. However, an impressed Meadows offers Nixon the job. Chandler's father turns up begging for money for his drug-addicted brother. Ashton, Young and Gilmore investigate a suspicious RTA, where the driver of the car fled the scene, in fear of being found in possession of cannabis. Ashton and Young get intimate.

S19.E1 ∙ Out of a Clear Blue Sky

Meadows and Okaro execute raids on known fences in the area, and Hunter finds his head on the chopping block for failing to warn Ron Gregory. One of the raids turns out to be on the pub where Young and Ashton's wedding reception is being held, much to their dismay. A prostitute comes forward and provides an alibi for Simon Kitson, forcing Nixon to investigate other lines of enquiry. Lennox's efforts to coax information from Kitson's sister Pat gets him nowhere, but Nixon's interrogation leads her into an unknown playing field. When she fails to meet Lennox for a drink, Lennox suspects she may be in danger. Gilmore and Ashton drunkenly sleep together. Kerry's wedding plans backfire when the venue falls through for her reception, and as Gold heads to tell Luke, she catches him in bed with Gilmore.

S19.E2 ∙ A Match Made in Hell

Lennox attempts to find a missing Nixon, but he and Taviner instead find evidence relating to Rickman's murder, and also discover Nixon's phone dumped nearby. Lennox then executes a search of Pat Kitson's house but finds nothing. Unaware that Nixon and the killer are held up in the house next door, Lennox is desperate to talk to her next door neighbour, and when she does finally arrive home, he hears a noise upstairs. Meanwhile, Gold is still in shock after catching Ashton and Gilmore together, Hunter is forced to pimp his wife as way of getting Ron Gregory off his back, Webb is caught snogging a bridesmaid by Cryer, and Klein is caught snorting cocaine in the station toilets by Carver.

S19.E3 ∙ Bad Taste

Glaze investigates a disturbance at a local church, where a convicted priest, Frank Keegan, has taken refuge from an angry mob. When he encounters an old acquaintance, Sister Sarah Donohue, they strive to keep the priest safe from the mob, but one of his previous victims comes forth with new evidence, and Glaze is forced to arrest him. Best attends another domestic incident at his sister's house, and arrests her boyfriend for car theft, but discovers his sister may be responsible for an attack on his nephew. Gilmore submits his transfer papers to Gold, Carver tries to convince Klein to confront his drug problem, and Hunter is forced to watch on as his wife has sex with Ron Gregory.

S19.E4 ∙ A Smart Bomb

Okaro implements a crackdown on burglaries and ATM robberies in the area, and Hunter takes a particular interest when his wife is mugged and assaulted. As he, Webb and McAllister set up a sting operation to catch those involved, Webb is forced to prevent Hunter from attacking one of the suspects with a baseball bat. His day goes from bad to worse when Meadows and Okaro decide to use him as bait to trap Ron Gregory. After Okaro receives information from an old acquaintance, David Ackroyd, about Gregory's plans to flood the streets with heroin, Ackroyd is found dead. Glaze gets intimate with an old friend. Best finds his nephew lying at the bottom of the stairs, but struggles to prove his sister's guilt.

S19.E5 ∙ Method to the Madness

Hunter is given information about a planned drug deal involving a heavy amount of heroin, but finds himself once again under pressure from Ron Gregory, who asks him to intercept the deal to keep the patch clear for his own dealings. Okaro issues an order that drug users are not to be arrested, but instead the dealers will be targeted. Bradford is furious when the junkie who stabbed her with a hypodermic needle walks free. Buxton and Klein are called to a violent domestic in a smart area of town, and they are quick to arrest the husband for assault. But is it as simple as it at first appears? Glaze jumps to his friend's defence when she is arrested after her community centre is attacked by Ron Gregory.

S19.E6 ∙ Controversial Approach

A small boy dies in a drive-by shooting in his neighbourhood, and Okaro decides to walk to the press conference to give himself time to think. Will the press, the police and the community be ready for what he has to say? As the media interest in his drugs policy continues to attract unwanted attention, Fitzwilliam pressures Okaro to toe the line. Bradford's HIV status is revealed, and in a desperate attempt to lure Kane into bed, she ponders whether or not to tell the truth. Meadow's wife arrives at the station to give him his marching orders, after she suspects him of having an affair with McAllister, but after being calmed, Meadows decides he's had enough of his wife and leaves home anyway.

S19.E7 ∙ Hard Liquor

Taviner is suspicious when the absence of a key witness in a court case sees the entire case collapse, and Taviner suspects that the judge, Howard Sinclair, may have engineered the result. Okaro makes a shock decision to resign after he takes an instant dislike to Fitzwilliam's tactics over his drugs policy. However, much to his dismay, she refuses to accept his resignation and instead orders him to a take a drugs prevention course. Bradford is delighted after sleeping with Kane, but Kane is regretful. One of Buxton's old friends disappears after being robbed, and Drummond is forced to make a difficult decision when a large amount of money is mistakenly credited in his account.

S19.E8 ∙ Cross Transfer

Taviner's investigation into Judge Howard Sinclair reaches an abrupt halt when Meadows insists that he drops the case, as Sinclair is one of his personal friends. However, after Taviner refuses to play ball, and Gold actively encourages Taviner to investigate the case, Meadows asks Webb to keep a close eye on Taviner. When Sinclair makes a complaint against Taviner's methods of policing, an angry Meadows engineers a transfer for Taviner to the CSU. Kane urges a reluctant Bradford to reveal her secret to her colleagues, but she is reluctant as she thinks it could ruin her chances of joining CID. Ackland reconsiders her relationship with Carver after meeting a clairvoyant.

S19.E9 ∙ Crackdown

Meadows realizes that there could actually be some depth to the allegations made against Howard Sinclair, and asks Webb to continue with the investigation. However, his leads soon make Hunter uneasy when he realizes that any digging could land him in hot water. Taviner's first day in the CSU settles the team, as he continues with his good methods, but sarcastic attitudes towards suspects. Attending a domestic, Ashton discovers that a love triangle that is not all it appears to be. Cryer questions an evasive Bradford about her medication - a question Bradford is ill-prepared to answer. Ackland ponders over her proposal to Carver, while Meadows makes his feeling for McAllister clear.

S19.E10 ∙ Thinking Out Loud

The broad daylight drive-by shooting of a young girl at a local bank seems more deliberate than accident when her father is discovered to be an accountant for some local thugs. Klein attends Simon Kitson's memorial service, but lets his emotions get the better of him when he encounters none other than Pat Kitson. Cryer is suspicious of Bradford and suspects that she may be lying about the results of her HIV test, and an angry Hunter berates Bradford for putting others at risk. Young gets an unsuspecting view from her bedroom window and reports an incident involving a flasher, but his identity is soon revealed when he turns out to be none other than charming new Aussie constable, Cameron Tait.

S19.E11 ∙ Dropout Factory

The station holds an open day for the public to find out exactly how the Met operates, and all goes according to plan, until Sharpe invites her family along, has a blazing row with her better half, and her daughter Joanna goes missing. When a young man is viciously attacked by a pair of thugs, Glaze finds a way to gather enough evidence to arrest a teenage burglar on suspicion, but realizes that he may be putting his informant at risk by doing so. Meadows' hopes and dreams are dashed when McAllister arrives at work on the arm of a handsome young man, and immediately questions her over her intentions. An unsuspecting Ashton is shocked to discover that Young is pregnant with their baby.

S19.E12 ∙ Without a Trace

Twenty-four hours have passed since the disappearance of Sharpe's eight-year-old daughter Joanna, and a massive search is underway in the borough. Sharpe realizes that the first twenty-four hours are crucial, and is aware of how serious the situation may become. Her nerves and emotions get the better of her when she is forced to front a press conference appealing for information. Hollis is suspicious of a couple that he questions during door-to-door enquiries on the case. Profiler Joe Kincaid joins the search, but Gilmore is jealous of the attraction between Kincaid and Ashton. Buxton discovers a vital clue to Joanna's disappearance when she questions the staff of a local corner shop.

S19.E13 ∙ The Cat With Nine Lives

Carver is assigned to the Sharpe family as their family liaison officer, hoping to gather some vital information on Joanna's disappearance. However, Sharpe is uneasy and Carver finds that she is too emotionally distraught to give information. Taviner ignores what could be a vital clue to Joanna's disappearance when he receives information from an unreliable snout. CID hear word that a paedophile ring may be operating in Sun Hill, and they are determined to keep the news from Joanna's distraught parents. Uniform suspect that an assault on a prison officer may not be the straightforward mugging it appears to be. Young suspects that Ashton is having an affair when he visits Gilmore in hospital.

S19.E14 ∙ False Pride

Carver finds the pressure of being the Sharpe's family liaison officer becoming too much to handle, and finds himself tempted to return to drink, however, after comforting by Ackland, she shows him just how much she cares about him and he decides to carry on. Sharpe returns to work, despite the heavy misgivings of her colleagues. CID and a special unit from Scotland Yard try their best to investigate a possible paedophile ring without alarming Sharpe and her family. Sheelagh Murphy arrives for her first day as sergeant at Sun Hill. Meadows is convinced that Howard Sinclair is a paedophile, and despite Webb's objections to keep the investigation official, Meadows confronts Sinclair on his own terms.

S19.E15 ∙ Under Pressure

Sharpe's digging into her daughter's disappearance leads her to discover that CID have been investigating a possible paedophile ring, and when she furiously confronts Nixon, Nixon coherently denies that the two investigations are linked in any way. When the body of a young child is found by a member of the public, Sharpe is anxious that is may well be her missing daughter. Meanwhile, as Howard Sinclair makes a further complaint, Okaro is under serious pressure from Fitzwilliam to get rid of Meadows. Ackland convinces a witness to provide evidence against Sinclair. Murphy investigates when a pizza deliveryman's moped is stolen, and discovers that his boss is running a sideline in drugs.

S19.E16 ∙ The Darkest Hour

At Sun Hill all the incentives are there as the net closes in on the paedophile ring. Hunter is up to his neck in it.

S19.E17 ∙ Fraught with Danger

Will Sun Hill get the result it craves as the guns come out when a key paedophile suspect goes to court? Hunter messes up big time.

S19.E18 ∙ Found

Sharpe is relieved that Joanna has been found alive and well, and upon further examination, evidence discovers that she was not harmed in any way, and when Joanna finally speaks out, she reveals that she wandered off of her own accord and became trapped in the derelict building. The identity of the dead child is finally discovered, and Kane and Nixon put out an all ports warning for the child's adoptive parents, in the hope that they will give up Ron Gregory. Meanwhile, Bradford is jealous when Kane starts dating a doctor, and decides to pull some very sneaky moves in an attempt to prize the pair apart. Boyden and Tait attend a fight at Harvey Wallace comprehensive and discover that one or two of the pupils are acting strangely around their teacher, Sonia Graham. While Tait is smitten, Boyden discovers that rumours are escalating that Sonia is having extra-marital relations with some of her students. Meanwhile, Ashton and Buxton attend a fire at a public convenience, and find two young girls trapped in the toilet cubicle. When Ashton manages to free them from danger, they both make good their escape and Ashton suspects that something is wrong. Glaze and Webb attend a shooting at a local gymnasium, where they find that none of the witnesses are willing to offer any information.

S19.E21 ∙ Sleeping Dogs Lie

Abi Nixon arrives at the station on a work experience placement, and is sent out on patrol with Boyden, much to her delight. When Boyden is accused of having a sexual encounter with one of Abi's friends, Abi steps in to defend him. Young suspects that rape victim Louanna isn't telling the whole truth when she accuses one of her schoolmates of rape, despite the fact that her injuries suggest that she was attacked by more than one person. Schoolteacher Sonia Graham finds herself on the end of a sustained barrage of abuse, including offensive graffiti being sprayed on her house and pornographic material being posted through her letterbox. Ashton races to stop Young from having an abortion.

S19.E22 ∙ The Philadelphia Lawyer

The sustained abuse towards schoolteacher Sonia Graham runs into overdrive when she is found in her flat, having been shot through the chest, and the list of suspects soon begins to mount. Glaze struggles to get Prince's brother Nathan back on side after harsh mishandling by Webb, so Webb decides to trail him to see if he leads him to the top prize - and soon enough, his suspicions are proved to be correct. Young finally manages to get young rape victim Louanna to open up about her ordeal, and subsequently, members of the Bevan Park crew are arrested on suspicion. On the way to respond to an urgent call for assistance, Hollis notices Boyden pulled over at the roadside in a clinch with Abi Nixon.

S19.E23 ∙ Throw For a Loss

When schoolteacher Sonia Graham dies of her injuries, Nathan Morley becomes the prime suspect when it is discovered that the gun used in the attack was the same gun used by his brother, Prince, to shoot the gymnasium victim. Honey Harman begins her first shift at Sun Hill and Best finds that he is smitten with her. When they chase a group of robbery suspects, they end up at the address of Liam Burrows, but when Best innocently tries to answer a call of nature, he finds himself being held hostage at gunpoint. During a search of the Harvey Wallace grounds, Hollis finds more than he bargained for when he finds an unsuspecting Boyden in a clinch with Abi Nixon in the school's boiler room.

S19.E24 ∙ The Square Apple

Best is forced to go undercover at Canley Comprehensive to investigate a group of drug dealers who are targeting the school. He manages to get himself close to some of the main players and provides information, which leads to a raid. However, just as the deal is about to take place, Abi Nixon turns up and blows Best's cover. Page returns to duty at Sun Hill following a year's personal leave, and is quickly assigned to the CSU, where she and Bradford investigate a mysterious case involving a husband and wife, which becomes far less straightforward when both parties accuse the other of harassment. Carver finds himself in a comprising position when he ends up in bed with Sonia Graham's mother.

S19.E25 ∙ Under the Thumb

Boyden investigates when an abandoned lorry leads to the discovery of a Chinese "snakehead" gang smuggling illegal immigrants into the country. When one of the owners of the lorry company is found shot and disfigured, Boyden is forced to confront an angry gunman, who manages to escape his clutches. Nixon reluctantly agrees to help him with the investigation. Taviner is given a new role as ward officer of the Cole Lane Estate, but Murphy doubts his motives when he eagerly assists an attractive resident. McAllister is forced to hold her tongue when her main witness in the rape case starts to demand perks for her testimony. Glaze unhappily finds himself on the end of a transfer into CSU.

S19.E26 ∙ Out of Your Depth

Suspicion as to how the illegals are gaining legal identity documents trails a lead to an interpreter who has been working alongside the "snakehead" gang. Meanwhile, Taviner's second day as ward officer proves an eventful one when he finds a shoe less man running for his life, and McAllister suspects that he may well be a witness to a serious crime. Young's hard work on the rape case threatens to blow itself out of the water after a key witness is deemed incredible. As the investigation into the abuse ring is reopened, Webb can't believe his luck when Ron Gregory lands back in his lap. However, he is surprised when his investigation leads him to find a link between Gregory and Okaro.

S19.E27 ∙ Juggernaut

The relief swoop into London's Chinatown in an attempt to locate and arrest corrupt interpreter Mai Ann Wey. Desperate to make amends to Murphy, Taviner manages to catch Mai Ann when she eludes the rest of the team. Webb is in turmoil after witnessing Okaro having a friendly meeting with a suspect. Gold begins to have her own suspicions about Okaro when Webb sees him taking his own daughter to visit Gregory. Okaro is furious when Webb charges into a delicate covert operation to ensnare Gregory. Gregory is arrested, and the "child" in his boot is revealed to be Cryer. Cryer and Webb break into the house of Gregory's solicitor and find a frightened little African girl in an attic.

S19.E28 ∙ Week by Week

McAllister and Drummond attend the scene of a horrific road accident, where a man impaled by a pole, believing himself to be dying, confesses to killing his wife and hiding her body. When they find his wife alive and well, they suspect that the shock of the crash may be affecting the man's memory. But when they discover he had been married before, and his ex-wife mysteriously disappeared, they realize his confession may be true after all. Webb and Cryer attempt to escape from Warren Napier's house with Abeo, but are captured by Ron Gregory and his thugs. A weary Meadows receives Webb's phone message, and he and Okaro leap into action to find Webb and Cryer before Gregory murders them.

S19.E29 ∙ Frail

Buxton and Klein find an elderly woman wandering alone across the Cole Lane estate, who appears to be in some distress. Meanwhile, Taviner and Murphy discover an elderly man who is also in distress after having his flat broken into. Suspicious of why both elderly residents are so frightened of the police, Klein and Murphy attempt to find out the reasons behind their fear. Klein is close to being caught with cocaine by Carver. Murphy notices the animosity between the pair and Carver soon spills the beans over Klein's drug habit. Kane's ex-wife arrives at the station to report the hate mail she has been receiving. When she mentions a possible reconciliation to Bradford, Bradford lashes out.

S19.E30 ∙ Grandstand

Bradford attempts to cover her tracks after attacking Kane's ex-wife, but Tait's suspicions are aroused when he discovers the car park complex's CCTV tapes have been stolen. McAllister suspects Kane is responsible, and her abrupt line of questioning puts both Kane and Drummond offside. As Kane waits at St Hugh's for news of Tanya's condition, Bradford turns up to work, full of sympathy for Kane and his ex-wife. Only Cryer has suspicions, as Cathy adds lie upon lie, even volunteering to help with the case so she can cover up evidence of her involvement. As Bradford comforts Kane at the hospital, she is horrified to hear that his ex-wife's condition is improving and she may recover.

S19.E31 ∙ Disillusion

The investigation into the attack on Kane's ex-wife continues, and MIT are called in to investigate. McAllister teams up with DI Will Elvins, but the pair soon come to the same conclusion that Kane attacked his ex-wife. Bradford prepares to flee the country, but she receives a phone call from Page, who informs her that MIT are questioning Kane and that he is their prime suspect. As suspicion begins to fall on her, Bradford changes her mind and arrives back at the station, and taking a leaf out of McAllister's book, tells MIT that Kane couldn't have attacked his ex-wife, as at the time, he was regularly beating her up after he discovered that she was pregnant with his baby. Can Kane prove his innocence?

S19.E32 ∙ Rose-Coloured Glasses

Osbourne arrests a TV weathergirl for shoplifting, but after overhearing remarks towards Gemma's sexuality, she fabricates a sexual assault claim in an attempt to get off the charges. Tait and Best find themselves in competition in an attempt to woo a glamorous robbery victim. Tait conspires against Best by having him recalled to the station, but after being paired with Taviner, once again finds himself in competition. Best is caught with his pants down by the victim's husband, who is under surveillance by CID for a brutal attack. Meanwhile, the girlfriend of Klein's dealer turns out to be Boyden's daughter, and Osbourne is attacked and left badly beaten by a mystery female attacker.

S19.E33 ∙ Come Home to Roost

The disappearance of a young girl prompts the relief to swallow their pride and call in retired sergeant Bob Cryer, who knows the family better than anyone - but his services are soon dispensed with when it becomes clear that his old-school methods aren't suited to Sun Hill's modern style of policing. Undeterred, the veteran plod teams up with his niece to finish the job, but it appears the suspect may be someone believed to be dead. Meanwhile, Osbourne ponders her future at the station following her brutal attack, and drug-addled Klein looks set to be found out when his colleagues raid the house where he is taking his first dose of crack, with the help of Boyden's daughter Amy.

S19.E34 ∙ Surprise Surprise

The relief investigate when an unidentified five-year-old girl turns up in St. Hugh's hospital having accidentally ingested crack cocaine. With very little to go on, the search becomes underway to find her mother, but it's not long before Boyden realizes the girl's mother is none other than his own tearaway daughter, Amy. The case takes on a different dimension for Best when he interviews a witness and discovers that Klein was also in the taxi that dropped the little girl off at the hospital. Back at the station, a thief is at large, and Tait is in the frame when Glaze's phone is found in his locker, while Nixon faces facts when her trouble-making teenage daughter Abi is brought in for being drunk and disorderly.

S19.E35 ∙ Played Like a Fiddle

When a young adoptee is suspected to have attacked his foster father, Nixon and Klein find that the boy is torn between his two families. The boy later disappears, and is found atop a high-rise building, but despite Boyden's efforts to coach him down, he jumps to his death, leaving his very angry brother to rage war on Boyden. Meanwhile, Okaro and Gold set up a surveillance camera in an attempt to catch the thief, and discover Carver breaking into Klein's locker. Carver reveals that Klein has been taking drugs and an obbo is staged to catch Klein in the act. Carver and Best catch Klein stealing from Carver's girlfriend's house, but Okaro chooses to send him into rehab rather than sack him.

S19.E36 ∙ Moving Target

It's an eventful day for Sgt Matt Boyden. Having discovered the identity of Abi's father, he confronts the girl's mother, his hated colleague Acting DI Sam Nixon, threatening to tell the tearaway teen everything he knows. Then he gets a blast from the past when his own estranged, crack-addicted daughter Amy is found and brought in for questioning. But it soon becomes clear none of these loose ends will ever be tied when the dodgy sergeant answers a seemingly routine call out to a suspect package - only to fall victim to a drive-by shooting. S19.E37 ∙ Laid to Rest

Life goes on at Sun Hill, after the recent murder of Sgt Matt Boyden. When PC Gary Best and PC Honey Harman bring in an Australian girl believed to be part of a shoplifting gang, it attracts the interest of CID. DC Mickey Webb uses Aussie PC Cameron Tait to infiltrate the gang, run by the Fagan-like Gene Bishop, but Cameron may have gone too far when Robbie and Bob Cryer witness him shoplifting in a department store. DC Danny Glaze finds Nathan Morley stuck through with a spear, and DC Mickey Webb and TDC Brandon Kane face a brush with death when an armed gang springs Nathan's brother Prince from a prison transport. Bob Cryer rallies the troops when Sgt Boyden's unpopularity casts a cloud over his funeral, and PC Tony Stamp is surprised by the arrival of Cass Rickman's mother. PC Jim Carver helps his girlfriend Marie out with some domestic issues, and is shocked when she proposes marriage.

S19.E38 ∙ Turning Back the Clock

Glaze finds himself in a dangerous situation when he goes looking for the gang that have abducted Nathan Morley. Taviner takes a witness statement from a cabbie, and tries to dissuade him when the cabbie insists on seeing Murphy after the interview. Taviner, however, is unaware that the cabbie is Murphy's husband Patrick. Meanwhile, Carver finds himself in a difficult situation having just turned down a marriage proposal from his girlfriend, Marie Graham. Ackland is about to return from leave, and Harman advises Carver that her astrology book suggests that he steer clear of his colleague and return to Marie. However, when Ackland arrives back at Sun Hill, Carver finds he can't keep himself away.

S19.E39 ∙ Charlie Foxtrot: Part 1

Osbourne finds herself troubled after dealing with an asylum seeker, and finds it difficult to keep her professional and personal objectives separate. Torn between a war-torn Iran and a troublesome Sun Hill estate, Osbourne can't work out what sounds better for the woman and her young daughter. Osbourne is later reprimanded by Gold and warned to stay well away from the situation. Meanwhile, Sharpe and Hunter investigate an alleged assault on a lawyer by a female colleague, but Hunter suspects that ulterior motives are at work. Meanwhile, Ackland's hopes of engagement to Jim are boosted when she finds a ring in his desk, only to be told by Jim that he's engaged to Marie Graham.

S19.E40 ∙ Charlie Foxtrot: Part 2

Osbourne is determined to help Ziba and her daughter Niki, and can't even entertain the possible idea of them returning to Iran. Despite having already been warned off by Gold, her conscience gets the better of her, and she helps the woman escape. A screaming match ensues and Osbourne is given her marching orders. Hunter and Sharpe are puzzled when solicitor Robert Fenn withdraws his assault complaint against colleague Kim Bradbury, but then they discover Kim has resigned. Sharpe confesses she visited the seedy bar where Robert and his friends hang out, and she convinces Hunter that they're dealing drugs. Tait goes undercover to check out the action, while Hunter organizes a raid on the bar.

S19.E41 ∙ Boomerang: Part 1

The relief investigate a series of assaults on homeless people in the area, but when the motive begins to change, and social worker Clare Johnson is brutally attacked, evidence suggest that the prime suspect is Murphy's cabby husband, Patrick. Despite warnings to tread softly from Meadows, McAllister is sure Patrick is her man, with little regard for her colleague's sensibilities. Her suspicions are heightened when Taviner informs her of their encounter a couple of weeks back. Meanwhile, Taviner and Ashton have their hands full dealing with two elderly men who are fighting over some misplaced books. Stamp tries to avoid Ackland after their drunken kiss the previous night at Carver's party.

S19.E42 ∙ Boomerang: Part 2

Luke is first on the scene of a horrific car crash, but is shocked to hear a familiar voice when his backup arrives - Sun Hill's new sergeant: former PC Dale Smith. Smith takes a huge risk when he and Luke rescue a boy trapped in the car, a fact which does not escape the notice of Gina, who is already well aware of Smithy's reputation from his last posting to Sun Hill. Linking the boy and the car to a local gay nightclub, Smithy believes the club is pimping underage rent boys, but his brusque manner sees a complaint brought up against him by the club's owner. Tony tries to do a good deed and convinces Jim to invite June to his wedding, but he underestimates June's feelings for Jim. Things aren't looking good for Patrick Murphy after the Garda in Dublin supply Debbie details of his form for assault, but Murphy is bailed due to lack of evidence. When one of Des' young snouts finds Murphy's wallet and cab in a warehouse, Taviner and Sheelagh investigate, but Taviner can only watch in horror as his Sergeant is abducted by the suspect.

S19.E43 ∙ A Growing Concern

Murphy regains consciousness in the back of the stolen cab and texts Taviner regarding her whereabouts. She escapes, only to be recaptured, but Taviner arrives in time to disarm her attacker. Relieved that they have actually caught their man, Murphy tells Taviner how grateful she is he helped clear her husband's name. Smithy and Tait stake out a local club where they suspect manager David Wemmick is running rent boys. Tait poses as a client, and rent boy Justin gives him an address where he finds enough evidence for a raid. While waiting for Tait, Smithy sees Ashton enter the gay club with a male companion. Meanwhile, Page drags Carver off on his wedding day to investigate a young boy living alone.

S19.E44 ∙ Rescue

Trapped in a cellar together, the longest-serving characters (save Reg) share some home truths about relationships and the real nature of friendship.

S19.E45 ∙ Security Risk

Drummond's moonlighting as a security guard begins to catch up with him when an angry Meadows finds him asleep at his desk. However, Hunter soon realizes that he be able to use Drummond's position to his advantage when his boss, Alan Trent, moves into the ward office previously occupied by Taviner, and Meadows and Okaro suspect that he is causing many of the crimes he claims to prevent. When she discovers evidence of corrupt activities on Trent's manor, Bradford decides to turn a blind eye. McAllister and Becker are paired when a young mother and her son are run off the road. When the woman's father is found badly beaten, Becker suspects there's more to the case than first appears.

S19.E46 ∙ Underground Railroad

Meadows and Okaro secretly plan to use Drummond to gather the evidence they need on Alan Trent, so posing as a corrupt police officer, Drummond manages to convince Trent to rehire him. Trent charms McAllister into a dinner date, which he uses to question her about her supposedly corrupt colleague. Concerned with Trent moving in on the estate, Okaro and Meadows organize a residents' meeting on the Jasmine Allen, which is rudely interrupted by three armed men in masks. Forensics of the shots fired indicates a flood of converted replica firearms on the estate. Ashton is convinced he is being handed all of the easy cases after being outed to the relief by Young.

S19.E47 ∙ Written in the Stars

Sun Hill comes under fire from a gun epidemic due to the illegal firearms flooding the area, and Webb is convinced that Trent is the cause. As he and Drummond investigate Trent's activities, Drummond comes across an arms cache. McAllister finds solace in her boyfriend Michael, surprised at how much interest he is showing in her. However, Webb's investigation throws up some interesting facts and McAllister puts her life at risk after making the alarming discovery about who her boyfriend really is. It's the end of the road for Ashton when he comes face to face with an armed teenager in a local mini mart. Page finds herself falling in love again after getting emotionally involved with Dr. Owen Preston.

S19.E48 ∙ High Speed Chaos

Hollis reprimands three youths who are seen harassing a bus driver, but the situation takes a dangerous turn when one of the youths pulls out a gun, and they hijack the bus with Hollis, the driver and a busload of terrified passengers. When Hollis realizes that the gun is one of the replicas from the Coal Lane estate, it backfires, hitting the driver. Best and Harman spot the runaway bus and end up in pursuit, but their moment of glory is lost when Taviner and Murphy take over the pursuit in the area car. Meanwhile, Harman and Tait investigate a green-thumbed resident at a retirement home, whose plants are not exactly of the legal variety, and Page's friend Dr. Owen Preston comes under suspicion.

S19.E49 ∙ Count Me Out

CSU gains a new officer in the form of sexual offences expert sergeant Ramani De Costa, who hasn't even reached the station when she is assigned to investigate the alleged rape of a university student, who was drugged and attacked before being raped. De Costa finds she has very little to go on, but keeps a firm head and attempts to build her own leads. Meanwhile, a distraught Page tries to cover up her involvement in the death of Dr. Owen Preston, but as she types up her statement, she receives a letter naming her as the beneficiary of Owen's will. Nixon investigates an armed robbery, but is distracted after a reporter gathers information on the identity of Abi's father and threatens to reveal all.

S19.E50 ∙ Out in the Open

De Costa's investigation is aided by the return of Glaze, who identifies union bar manager Kieran Thompson as the prime suspect. But with no firm evidence or testimony to go on, victim Izzy Scott is left terrified. When Thompson is assaulted, De Costa realizes this might not be the rapist's first offence, and the discovery of a previous victim reveals videotapes of the rapes - filmed by Izzy's so-called best friend, Emma. Meanwhile, Hunter puts forward his theory that the armed robbery was an inside job, but when one of the two security guards on scene commits suicide, the investigation takes an unexpected turn. Nixon is distraught when Abi's father, Glenn Weston, turns up at the station.

S20.E1 ∙ Trust Means Nothing

Ackland stops a vehicle which has been reported lost or stolen, only to find the driver in possession of a briefcase containing more than £20,000. When the suspect, Harry Turner, reveals he has a past history with Gold, he offers to take part in an obbo to bring down a major Sun Hill villain. However, during the obbo, he escapes with £15,000 of the Met's money. Meanwhile, Kane is struggling to cope with the fact that Bradford has abducted his children. When Zoe manages to call her dad from Bradford's mobile, a search is directed towards the streets surrounding the station - but the entire station is unaware that Bradford has sneaked the kids into the station boiler room under their very noses.

S20.E2 ∙ The Apple and the Tree

A turf war threatens to blow up on the Cockroft estate between Kalisha Jarrett and her rival dealers, but when one of her henchmen runs down her nephew Wayne at her request, Wayne's brother Leo Price offers to help Smithy catch his evil aunt with the proceeds of a drug deal. However, when the raid yields a stash of fake drugs, Leo is furious to discover that his aunt may be off the hook. Meanwhile, Bradford, still in the boiler room with Kane's kids, turns off the station heating in an attempt to leave a clue to her whereabouts. An engineer arrives to fix the problem, but when he is knocked unconscious by Bradford, Ackland and Harman arrive to find out that Bradford is closer than anyone expected.

S20.E3 ∙ Kidnap and Ransom

Bradford promises to release Kane's kids in exchange for Kane as a hostage, but when Gold refuses, Okaro overrides her decision. Bradford then insists Kane choose between his children. Forcing Kane to handcuff himself, Bradford relives the events of the past year, including the death of Kane's wife Tanya. The station is evacuated, and the TSG arrive to provide support. Bradford's stories become increasingly unbelievable, as she tells Kane that she was abducted by a serial killer as a child. Nixon and Sharpe trawl through Bradford's history and discover that she has been lying. When Bradford moves Kane out of range of the TSG probe, Okaro authorizes TSG to force entry into the boiler room.

S20.E4 ∙ Dawn Morning Light

TSG storm the boiler room and Bradford is arrested. Kane returns to work the next day but when he is conned by an elderly lady claiming to have had her car broken into, he hands in his resignation in to Okaro (forced by PC Harman). Best is seconded to CID, and paired with Perkins, the pair investigate the mugging of a city trader by two homeless ex-servicemen. Perkins is disgusted by the world the traders inhabit and is frustrated when he learns that the mugging was a revenge attack. When Best goes out on his own initiative and almost blows the case, Perkins takes matters into his own hands and threatens to reveal the trader's cocaine use. Carver's wife turns up, begging him not to proceed with the trial against her for domestic violence.

S20.E5 ∙ Saving Skin

Stamp and Young arrest two teenagers, Curtis and Carla, on suspicion of mugging, but when Curtis admits stealing money from Carla's father, Reverend Andho, further investigation reveals that the minister has been skimming money off church funds, and that his theft has been authorized by Denise Okaro, the superintendent's wife. Meanwhile, Okaro has problems of his own, when the new Borough Commander, Louise Campbell, announces that she is on her way to see him - and he panics that he will be berated for his neglect in the Bradford incident. Carver's wife takes the stand in court, but despite testimony from Kent, Marie claims self-defense. When her son takes the stand, the true stories unravel.

S20.E6 ∙ Grave Error

Nixon is tasked with investigating a gang who are making and distributing fake DVDs. Her investigations lead her to a pawnshop, where a stack of the fake DVDs are being prepared for shipping to a third-world country. But her determination to bring down the gun-toting leader of the gang leads to unexpected tragedy. Meanwhile, Okaro faces a tough time as the fraud investigations into his wife Denise's finances continue, and she is arrested, following the allegations of conspiracy to theft. With scandal-hungry journalists gathering like vultures, it seems things can get no worse when she admits she does harbor feelings for the Rev Andho. Murphy believes she has sighted Taviner outside the station.

S20.E7 ∙ Shaken

Hemmingway deals with a hysterical woman who is smashing up a shop. Discovering that she is a rape victim who is being traumatized and stalked by her attacker, Perkins and Sharpe step in to try to convince another of the rapist's victims to come forward and press charges after years of keeping quiet. Okaro is forced to put his recent domestic troubles behind him and begins to build bridges with both the relief and his wife. Murphy is shaken by her sighting of Taviner the night before. Confused about why Taviner would come back to Sun Hill, Murphy becomes frantic when it appears baby Niamh has gone missing. When the baby is discovered safe and well, Murphy asks Tait to baby-sit.

S20.E8 ∙ Devastation and Remorse

Murphy is rushed to hospital, where she comes to terms with the loss of her daughter - and her anguish is only compounded by the awful suspicion that Taviner may have had a hand in the tragedy. Tait blames himself for the baby's death, and guilt-ridden, gets dangerously drunk, seeing solace in the arms of none other than Young - but his night soon results in an unexpected visit to casualty. Stamp and Harman arrest a retired villain for assaulting his future daughter-in-law, however, it soon transpires that there is much more to the case than first meets the eye. Manson muscles in and pulls rank on an angry Sharpe after she tries to go above his head and authorize an operation through Meadows.

S20.E9 ∙ Forgiveness

Sharpe is assigned to what looks like a straightforward case of bigamy when two men are arrested fighting in the local library. After witnessing a fight in custody, the suspect Leonard Noakes, admits to murdering a man many years previously, but Sharpe finds Noakes' supposed victim alive and not-so-well in St Hugh's Hospital. As the case gets more intriguing, Sharpe finds herself under scrutiny from Manson, who orders her to leave the case to MIT. When Ross requests her help, Sharpe can't help but close up the loose ends, but a furious Manson warns her that her card is marked. Meanwhile, McAllister has babysitting issues, and Tait acts coldly towards Young after their unbridled night of passion.

S20.E10 ∙ Career Ruining Secrets

Following a tip-off from Perkins' snout, Manson goes undercover as a hit man for a woman who wants her husband killed. As De Costa investigates the domestic violence aspect of the case, the husband's involvement in an actual murder is revealed. Manson is delighted with the result, but De Costa is upset when Manson usurps her CSU authority. Stamp and Best trawl internet chat rooms looking for 'Hotpants', a suspected fraudster who has ripped off a number of "her" on-line admirers. Murphy reveals that Taviner has been to see her. Taviner finds Hollis alone guarding the chapel of rest and Hollis lets slip that Tait was babysitting when Niamh died. Hollis admits to Gold that Taviner started the Sun Hill fire.

S20.E11 ∙ Betrayal

Tait and Young go in pursuit of a gang of teenage girls who have been shoplifting. When they become separated, Tait is cornered by the gang, who subsequently strip him and spray a suspicious substance in his face. Tait arrives back at the yard half dressed, much to the happiness of his female colleagues. Meanwhile, Carver finds a copy of Kent's birth certificate, and struggles over whether or not to inform Ackland. Murphy is devastated to discover an operation has been mounted to catch Taviner at their daughter's funeral, and believing Taviner's right to see his daughter, tries to inform him of the operation before he is arrested. When Ackland offers her a shoulder to cry on, she rebuffs her.

S20.E12 ∙ Running With Scissors

Neil and Sam investigate a cigarette smuggling operation but the pair come to blows when Sam tries to exert her authority over the situation and a furious Neil is forced to pull rank on the former acting detective inspector while Jim is now unable to hide the truth any longer and confronts June and informs her that her lover Gabriel is actually none other than her long lost son but does she believe him enough to stop her relationship with him knowing that he has been set up and Des pays Shelagh another visit only to end up holding her and Cameron hostage to keep them quiet over his escape however Des realizes it is just a matter of time before his colleagues come looking for them.

S20.E13 ∙ Heartstrings

As the net closes in around an increasingly frustrated Des he decides to let Murphy go free, on the grounds that she does not inform the Sun Hill top brass of his whereabouts despite Shelagh's adamant that Tait was in no way responsible for his baby's death Des continues to keep Cameron hostage but the pair come to blows when Cameron manages to connect with Des's personal grievances meanwhile June tries to find a suitable way to confront Gabriel over the shocking revelation that he is actually none other than her son but when June backs him into a corner, he declines to reveal his true identity and vows to make life difficult for June if she chooses to believe the malicious rumors.

S20.E14 ∙ New Year's Resolutions

Eva and Neil investigate the case of a missing girl and discover that it is the girl's abusive grandfather who has taken her away. Polly returns to Sun Hill and is delighted to discover she can have a civilian position as CADO but will the frustration of not being a copper get to her June assists with Eva and Neil's investigation but the imminent exposure of Gabriel is playing on her mind and when Gabriel and Jim come to blows things boil over Dale and Jim agree to keep quiet for June's sake Kerry confides in Yvonne about her night of passion with Cameron and despite the fact it could be the start of something special, Smithy is not happy and threatens to stand in their way.

S20.E15 ∙ Intrigue

Sam grudgingly works with Neil to locate dangerous escaped convict Eric Taylor who has already eluded police twice when Eric is spotted Jim pursues him into a swimming pool complex and the two end up in the water as Gabriel watches as the two struggle and is going to let Jim drown until the cavalry arrive posing as a house buyer June Carver an emotional June visits her long lost son and meets her granddaughter but she is too afraid to tell him her real identity when his former lover Rachel Heath arrives at the station on the eve of her trial for assault Jack discovers that Neil's father in law Deputy Assistant Commissioner Roy Pearson has been using rent boys.

S20.E16 ∙ Don't Bring Me Down

A boy is attacked at a laundry place. Jacks affair with Rachel nearly comes out in court. Manson still creates friction with the rest of the team.

S20.E17 ∙ Office Politics

WPC Andrea Dunbar arrives at Sun Hill for her first shift and her keenness seems too good to be true but little do the relief know that they have an undercover reporter in their midst when Eva discovers that Debbie told Neil about Jack's affair she is furious and the pair come to blows but tensions run high between Jack and Neil when Neil declares he wants Sharpe out of CID no matter what just as he is announcing her departure to the rest of the department Jack comes in with an offer for Eva to join MIT Polly is snubbed by Neil during her first shift back and things turn from bad to worse when she returns home to find the word 'murderer' painted across her flat window.

S20.E18 ∙ Return of the Damned

Klein and Hemmingway attend a disturbance at a funeral home and discover an unusual case: the body and casket of the mother of the Coombes brothers have disappeared - including £350,000. Turning the case over to McAllister and Drummond, the investigation leans towards all the involved parties, including the brother, the funeral director and the security guard. Against her better judgment, and despite warnings from Stamp, Page befriends journalist Frank Fisher who helps her out when she cops abuse and vandalism from some local youths. Smithy and Hollis check out the local swimming pool when the manager reports a break-in. On the way back to the station, Hollis is confronted by Taviner.

S20.E19 ∙ End of the Road

Okaro is determined to nail big-time criminal Bob Coles, who is suspected to have taken part in people smuggling - but when Manson dangles the carrot of a free trip to Paris for the officer who arrests Coles, Hunter and Thatcher both promise their partners a weekend away. When Perkins eventually wins the trip, he auctions it off to Hunter and Thatcher in aid of charity. Meanwhile, MIT arrive to question Taviner about the Sun Hill firebombing, and find themselves investigating his murder instead. Murphy is first in the interview room, but is furious when Ackland refuses to confirm Murphy's innocence. Page begins to feel disillusioned about her return to the Met. Dunbar's editor tells her to go after Okaro.

S20.E20 ∙ Drive on By: Part 1

Klein investigates when Brendan Bailey a man who murdered a young girl 14 years previously is attacked and robbed on the way home from the pub, and is unable to remember anything prior to the incident Nick suspects that the attacker may be the father of another young girl who disappeared without trace just months after the first murder when the man is exonerated he takes it upon himself to track down Brendan and hold him at gunpoint until he reveals the location of his missing daughters body Nick manages to defuse the situation but when Brendan follows him to Jamaica Wharf Brendan is shot twice at close range with Nick being the only witness willing to identify the mysterious gunman.

S20.E21 ∙ Drive on By: Part 2

Klein is distraught when Bailey subsequently dies of his injuries. Hunter and Drummond interview the young girl whom Bailey was grooming prior to the attack, and whilst searching her photo album, Hunter finds a picture of his daughter, Maddison. When the young girl identifies herself as Dennis Weaver's goddaughter, Hunter shows Klein a file of mugshots of Weaver's associates, and Klein identifies the gunman as John Finnegan. When Hunter lets slip to Weaver that Klein is willing to testify, Weaver's gang kidnap Klein and pump him full of heroin. Meanwhile, De Costa and Page investigate when a young illegal Russian boy is found amongst a group of yobs involved in an organized chain of football hooliganism.

S20.E22 ∙ Crocodile Tears

Ken and Phil attempt to find an amateur surgeon who is selling organs on the black market. Their investigation begins with a young girl who has sold her kidney for £2,000, but before she can give evidence, she dies of renal failure. They then begin their search for the mysterious operating theatre where the operations are taking place. Meanwhile, as Klein recovers from his forced heroin overdose at the hands of Dennis Weaver's henchmen, Smithy and Young try to prove his innocence beyond doubt as his condition and his previous history with drugs make his testimony against gunman Finnegan unreliable. Klein later confronts Hunter and accuses him of telling Weaver of his past history with drugs.

S20.E23 ∙ Cross Wires

Harman and Hemmingway arrest a young girl following an incident of criminal damage, but during the interview, she claims that she was raped the night before. Thatcher and Drummond are assigned to the case, and they investigate a man seen following the victim on CCTV footage however when the man is given a rock solid alibi, Thatcher starts to doubt if the woman was raped at all. Meanwhile, Hollis investigates an altercation between a schoolboy and his teacher, but the young boy refuses to speak out against his real attackers. When he and Chambers go train-spotting after their shift, they watch on as the young boy is set upon by a gang, only to discover that the victim may be the ringleader.

S20.E24 ∙ Smoking Gun: Part 1

Neil organizes an obbo on long time nuisance Bryan Ferris who is wanted following the stabbing of a dealer on the Parkmede Estate. Having received information that he is starting his own sideline in illegal substances Neil raids a pub where he finds Bryan and his cronies in the middle of a deal Bryan offers to give information on a bigger player in the chain Ivan Grazdani in return for leniency with his sentence a search of Ivan's hotel room yields a number of false passport applications signed off by district judge Lord Colin Wakeling then Debbie investigates a surprising link between Colin Ivan and Neil himself and Cameron witnesses a suspicious meeting between Phil and Dennis Weaver.

S20.E25 ∙ Smoking Gun: Part 2

Debbie and Ken search for the missing girl in the passport photo only to find her badly beaten in St Hugh's she subsequently reveals that she was smuggled into the country and later made to enter prostitution as Debbie discovers that district judge Lord Wakeling's lady friend is none other than Ivan's sister Debbie seizes her chance when uniform manage to track down the illusive Ivan at a nearby industrial estate meanwhile Nick puts his life in danger by leaving the safe house and fleeing back to Sun Hill where Adam agrees to let him go back out on the beat and Polly discovers that her so called lover Frank Fisher is behind the harassment campaign against her.

S20.E26 ∙ Settle the Score

Hunter agrees to set up an operation to nail Dennis Weaver once and for all. With Klein back in the safe house, Weaver arranges the hit. Meeting with the hit man to retrieve the gun and a photo of Klein's body, Weaver realizes Hunter has set him up when an arrest team swoop in on them. Escaping into North Canley Forest, a terrified Hunter barely escapes with his life as a maniacal Weaver swears revenge for his treachery. Meanwhile, Young and Hemmingway investigate a possible case of abuse at a local care home, where two of the residents are left badly shaken, Page is warned off by Ackland when she investigates a forged driver's license, and Klein is placed into witness protection, with a new identity.

S20.E27 ∙ Needing a Friend

Smith and Young attend a call to a burglar seen attempting to gain access to a houseboat, but their arrival sparks the assailant into falling into the fast flowing river, forcing Smithy to jump in after him. A woman then arrives at the station to make a complaint of rape against the assailant. Meanwhile, Tait and Kent find a man badly injured after falling from the roof of a disused warehouse. Their investigations lead them to discover the organized crime of 'tramp bashing', where professionals pay tramps sums of money to beat the hell out of one another. However, they soon discover that the fights are a decoy for a money laundering operation, involving the proceeds of a rather impetuous drug smuggling operation.

S20.E28 ∙ A Time and a Place: Part 1

A major road traffic accident in Sun Hill sees a seriously injured man, Adrian Collins, rushed to St Hugh's Hospital. When a handgun and balaclava are discovered in Collins' car, Collins admits he was on his way to a bank robbery. When an alarm is triggered at a nearby bank, Smithy realizes the robbery has proceeded without Collins. With SO19 delayed in traffic, Smithy has trouble commanding the respect of his officers with rumors of Young's alleged rape. An angry Tait confronts him, and the two nearly come to blows until they agree to concentrate on the job at hand. The situation gets even worse when the bank's terrified manager is pushed out into the street with a bomb strapped to his waist.

S20.E29 ∙ A Time and a Place: Part 2

Young is found injured but alive in the rubble after the explosion behind the bank, but the bank manager is killed in the blast. As Nixon investigates the aftermath, there is considerable question over where the blame will lie. Tait begs Young not to reveal that they were arguing when the bomb went off, but he later reveals this to Nixon, as well as telling her about Young's accusation of rape against Smithy. Smithy comes under scrutiny as he was in charge of the operation, and Dunbar admits that she told Louise Willets that the bomb was a fake. Under pressure from her editor, Dunbar attempts to keep him sweet with the date rape story, which is now the talk of the station. Kent steals some CCTV footage.

S20.E30 ∙ Rookies and Professionals

Dunbar tells Gold that Kent may be the press leak, and Kent finds himself banished to the Siberia of Sun Hill - the Coal Lane Estate. When he discovers a group of kids harassing a transvestite resident, he takes vigilante action when he arrests the ringleader, but the station's new CPS lawyer, Jonathan Fox, refuses to charge him. A series of professional robberies of vehicles from a transport company baffles CID, and it looks like an inside job. Rookie Lance Powell and Best blow the operation when they stumble upon the criminal's warehouse. Okaro is furious, and his reaction intrigues Dunbar, who is trying to prove he is racist. Meanwhile, Okaro asks Perkins to go undercover in prison.

S20.E31 ∙ Smoking Demons

Perkins goes undercover in prison, where he investigates convicted pedophile Charles Mawdsley, who is believed to be running a pedophile ring with the help of one of the prison guards. De Costa appears as a prison counselor, acting as Perkins' contact with the outside world, but when Perkins opens up in a group therapy session, De Costa begins to suspect that he was abused as a child. By arresting a corrupt guard who was dealing drugs, Okaro hopes to force Mawdsley to play his hand, but in interview, the guard reveals that the prison's assistant governor is also corrupt. Meanwhile, Manson receives a call from a prisoner at the same nick who wants to pass on information about a planned robbery.

S20.E32 ∙ Reliable Information

Nixon and McAllister investigate when the stolen digger turns up at a transport site. Manson's suspicions are proven to be correct, but nobody else knows that Manson's tip-offs are coming from Beech. The arrival of Peter Cavanaugh, an Australian inspector on attachment to the NCIS, sets hearts a-flutter, but Meadows is furious when Manson's liaisons with Beech are revealed. Powell arrests a black teenager on suspicion of shoplifting, but cops a warning from Okaro to tread more carefully with the black community in future. An angry Powell is fair game for Thatcher and Dunbar, who are both seeking to prove that Okaro has it in for his black officers. Best is stunned when Powell tells him that he is gay.

S20.E33 ∙ The Cautious Approach

CID and SO19 lie in wait for Trevor Little's team to pull off the diamond robbery, but when the raid is aborted at the last minute, Beech's information to Manson isn't looking so kosher. Meadows warns Manson away from Beech, but Manson goes to see him again when he is beaten up in prison. Young is under pressure from Gina to make a decision about whether to make her rape allegation against Smithy official. Young then assists De Costa when a young Asian girl is raped but refuses to testify. Kent investigates a break-in on the Cole Lane Estate, but when he discovers that the victim was previously arrested on child sex offenses, his vigilante instincts lead him to take the law into his own hands once again.

S20.E34 ∙ Rogue Tourist

After failing to capture Trevor Little and his gang after their aborted diamond raid, Manson begins to have his doubts about Cavanaugh, and suspects he may be leaking information to the gang. The rivalry between the two inspectors escalates, but Cavanaugh has his eye set on Nixon, and the two share a passionate kiss. Kent continues his vendetta against Cole Lane resident Roy Stafford, who he suspects is a criminal. When he suspects Stafford has staged a robbery to gain access to the victim's grandchildren, he crosses the line and attacks Stafford, beating him badly. Okaro sends the hate mail he has received for forensic examination. Gold and Fox's verbal sparring also turns into unexpected passion.

S20.E35 ∙ Robbery, Act II

Manson's suspicions about Cavanaugh continue during an obbo on the diamond heist suspects. When the suspects get away from them, Cavanaugh doesn't seem particularly concerned. Concerned for the safety of Nixon and Tait, who are undercover as waiting staff on the target boat, Manson orders Hunter on to the boat as well, but when the suspects work out that police are on board, guns are drawn. Kent finds himself in trouble when Roy Stafford turns up at the station to report his assault. Gold is delighted that she may be able to get rid of the evil Gabriel at last, but a Cole Lane resident arrives and gives Kent an alibi. Fox asks Gold out on a date, and Okaro continues to receive hate mail.

S20.E36 ∙ Nemesis

Beech has the only evidence that could incriminate Cavanaugh, and Meadows is reluctant to have to rely on the slippery character, but Okaro insists he is their only choice. Cavanaugh contacts Nixon and declares his love for her, begging her to join him on the run. She agrees, but informs Meadows of his plans. Using her mobile as a tracking device, Meadows closes in, but when Cavanaugh realizes he's been betrayed, he takes her hostage. Manson and Hunter take Beech to visit Maggie Black, who has the incriminating tape, and Beech asks Manson if he can have ten minutes alone to "say goodbye" to Maggie. When Hunter goes to interrupt their little liaison, he finds himself held at gunpoint.

S20.E37 ∙ Taking Flak

Thatcher and Drummond are on an overnight obbo, watching the flat of a crucial witness in a fraud case, when Drummond's teenage son Alex shows up, claiming to have caused the death of a prostitute. His life begins to collapse around his ears when his distraught son volunteers a full confession, and then threatens to jump to his death from a warehouse roof. Elsewhere, Nixon is haunted by the memory of her recent relationship with corrupt copper Cavanaugh, who gloatingly suggests that Manson deliberately let Beech escape from custody. With little evidence to prove his own innocence, Manson is forced to sit back and take the allegations being thrown at him as the DPS start a full-blown investigation.

S20.E38 ∙ Game Over

Kent and Young attend a call to what initially appears to be the case of a "bunny-boiler", Sharon Wallace, stalking her ex-boyfriend. Kent, however, sees the fear in the Sharon's eyes, and when she is later attacked, he probes further and discovers that the boyfriend is blackmailing her with some nude photos in his possession. Manson is cleared of any involvement in Beech's escape, but Meadows warns him he's still on thin ice. Drummond is also relieved when his son is cleared of manslaughter. CID's attention is diverted when a car containing a baby girl is stolen. They find the car and the thief, David McLinden, but David tells Hunter and McAllister that his girlfriend has claimed the baby as her own.

S20.E39 ∙ The Tunnel: Part 1

Hunter is desperate to find his daughter Madison, who has been abducted by Dennis Weaver. Meadows orders him not to get involved in the investigation, and assigns Nixon to keep an eye on him. They investigate when a kilo of cocaine is found following a car chase. Hemmingway arrests a 17-year-old girl, Shirley Moss, on shoplifting charges and forms a bond with the girl when Shirley tells her she's pregnant. Hemmingway convinces the shopkeeper to drop the charges, and when the father of Shirley's child turns out to be big-time drug dealer Rifkin, Nixon and Hunter organize an SO19 raid on Rifkin's flat, but with drug courier Sonny and Shirley both in police custody, Rifkin clearly has his bases covered.

S20.E40 ∙ The Tunnel: Part 2

Phil has been shot but will Weaver finish the job? A young girl needs Yvonne's help. Will she give it this time and make up for her own demons? Even if it means ruining her career. Saint Gabriel is out with Kerry looking for a man with dementia. Will Kerry catch on to him and will he drop the veil?

S20.E41 ∙ Twisting the Truth

Kerry has to make a decision, has she anyone to turn to who will believe her? Cameron is out on the beat with Saint Gabriel but will either come clean about what's been said? Sam and Phil get their story straight but could this be the start of the end for Phil or will Sam save him yet again? Is there a serial rapist on the loose in SunHill? Manson and Nixon agree action and investigation is needed but how might become contentious.

S20.E42 ∙ Insensitivity: Part 1

Sam has bought a profiler in on a potential serial rapist. She has history with him and there seems to be a story brewing. Shelia is, as always, having a terrible day. She has been to court about a previous racial case. Has she made one mistake too many for senior management? Saint Gabriel, is cleaning up the estate but is his brand of justice going to be accepted by everyone. They can't argue it is not working but at what cost to the lives of the estate?

S20.E43 ∙ Insensitivity: Part 2

Saint Gabriel's halo is slipping. Cameron does his best in a horrible accident. Someone takes a beating and Rob start to sniff around. The serial rapist is still on the radar but do they have their man this time and can they get them ID'ed? Ken is on to a case of missing money and DVDs but is it only tied to one case. Lance deals with a case in the most delicate way, and shows how serious he takes some matters and his job. An overdose could put a halt to lots of work, but at a cost? Honey supports her friend as best she can. Is the new profiler too good to be true and an old family from the estate return but is anyone welcoming them back with open arms?

S20.E44 ∙ The Start of a Problem

Can Rob reign himself in with the Radford's back on the estate? Ken tries his hardest to distract him. Meanwhile Honey, Cameron & Jim try to catch a thief but will this undercover operation leave its mark? A new matriarch is on the patch and she is straight out of the pages of a Martina Cole, in the best way possible. Cameron realises Honey is a good friend.

S20.E45 ∙ Puppywalking

Hemmingway accompanies probationer Steve Hunter on his first day at Sun Hill, and eager to impress, he lets slip some juicy gossip about his brother's impotency. The furious sergeant demands his brother be transferred to another station, but desperate to make amends, the rookie constable follows up an informant's info on a bootleg alcohol ring. Young boldly confronts Kent at his flat, and records him admitting to her rape. Murphy and Powell investigate when homophobic graffiti is scrawled over a restaurateur's car and business. The man insists he isn't gay, but when they check the CCTV, Murphy is shocked when it leads them to a friend of her son, Conor. A high-speed chase ends in disaster for Ackland.

S20.E46 ∙ Second Strike: Part 1

Gary is asked to go under cover, at first he is keen but the more he knows the more he has to think about. June starts to recover and Tony, wracked with guilt, goes to visit to clear the air. However, Jim stands between them seeing each other. In the end Tony has to spell it out to Jim. Gary meets up with a face from the past but will he be able to pull off his undercover act? He ends juggling lots of different emotions and issues and ends up thinking quickly on his feet.
