Simon and his new partner Esther arrive on the Island. Sue is impressed with Esther's legs and nose piercing, but everyone is impressed with Lyn's huge marrow.

David starts a new job while the rest of the family head into Ventnor.

Simon's father takes him for a bike ride, while David has a hot date.
S2.E5 ∙ Sunday
Ray takes Simon and David bowling, and later that evening a power cut leaves the Cockfields in darkness.
S2.E6 ∙ Monday
Simon and Esther take the family out for lunch, but it ends in acrimony. Later Sue helps Simon with his indecisiveness over Esther.
S2.E7 ∙ Christmas Special
It's 27th December and Simon and Esther pay a flying visit to Ray and Sue. They can only stay for the day as Simon is so busy with work. Sue wishes they'd stay longer. A reunion at the local pub reminds Simon of what he might be missing.
