Learning that his father is sick, Michael returns to Cambridge and discovers that his dad received a mysterious visitor; back in Knockdara, Ophelia is given a dreadful warning from a psychic.

Michael's father dies. A brother of a missing Cambridge student, Annabelle, who was a student of Michael's. Later, Ophelia finds Annabelle's backpack in the guesthouse. Ophelia has to face up to whether she is losing her mind.

Annabelle is the body in the fire. Roison is alive. Michael ties up Ophelia for knowing too much. Michael is killed by Roison with a blow to the head. Mary, Ophelia and Roison tell police Michael killed Annabelle instead of Roison.
