Gene gets caught up in a kidnapping attempt when he stumbles into a town where competing interests are trying gain control of a ranch in a strategic location on the edge of the Mexican border.

Gene interrupts a silver bullion robbery and learns that it is just one in a series of such robberies. While investigating it becomes obvious that someone is tipping the robbers off as to which wagons to attack and how much silver is being carried.

Gene Autry is on the trail of a series of unexplained murders in the territory. The only common link is a piece of rope tied in a special knot. He needs to understand the significance of the clue before any other murders take place.

Gene returns to Boulder Bluff for a holiday and discovers that a man posing as a US marshal is a wanted criminal. Gene sets out to warn the townsfolk and attempt to capture the man before anyone gets hurt

Pat is elected as sheriff of the town and asks Gene to be his deputy. What seems to be a fairly easy duty soon turns deadly serious when word comes through that the notorious murderer Red Lambert has broken out of jail and is headed for the town.

An old man on the verge of dying wills his ranch to a grandson no one knew he had. This upsets a series plans other ranches have for the area. Gene must make sure the child makes it to the ranch to claim the inheritance.

Gene is visiting the town of Cotton Wood when he hears of the forceful eviction of Barbara Blake from her home. She has been holding out for the return of her older brother "Maverick Dan" who is wanted on a series of charges including murder. As Gene investigates he begins to have doubts about the man's guilt.

Gene has one of his horses stolen and another killed, he follows the trail to a town where opposing forces are bidding for a cavalry resupply contract. Gene comes to the realization that the man responsible for the theft may be a particularly cruel horse trainer.

Pat Buttram inherits a stagecoach line from a murdered relative, but even with Gene Autry's help, the road is very rocky.

Gene arrives in the town of Dry Gulch and becomes the sheriff almost by accident. He discovers the town is dominated by the mayor and the judge is in his control. Gene looks for way to work around these issues while trying to help a local victimized newspaper owner.

Pete Munroe is shot dead in an effort to get his ranch, which he has left to his niece Maude. She proves stronger than expected, but Gene Autry and Pat Buttram must help her hold on to her inheritance.

Gene is sent by his commanding officer to investigate a series of murders in the town of Blazeaway. The settlers believe the killings were caused by Indians using tomahawks, but the Native Americans claim they've been framed to drive them from their land.

Pat Buttram owns a tailor shop but is spectacularly unsuccessful, and Gene must protect him from the local land grabbers.
S2.E23 ∙ Trouble at Silver Creek
Gene witnesses a murder and manages to arrest the man. Unfortunately elements within the town secure the man's escape. A woman is pushed into a loveless marriage with the exception her father's farm will be saved.
S2.E24 ∙ Six Gun Romeo
Adelle Tompkins arrives on the stagecoach with plans to marry Pat Buttram, but Pat has sent her Gene Autry's picture instead of his own. On the same stage is Jan Carter Gray, who has come to meet her gang of outlaws for less lofty purposes.
S2.E25 ∙ The Sheriff Is a Lady
Sheriff Kathy Vale mistakes Gene and Pat for two desperate outlaws. Gene sings his way out of trouble.
S2.E26 ∙ The Trail of the Witch
After a series of stagecoach robberies threaten to shut down a town's gold mines, a young sheriff requests the help of Gene and Pat to round up the outlaws.
