In the aftermath of two murders, officials arrive on Aghios Nikolaos to make enquiries. Newcomer Gerald Mace meets Nestor in the empty Shepherd's Bar and asks questions about Ann and Erik. Nikos has something important to tell the police. Captain Krasakis goes in search of the Shepherds. Ann regains consciousness on the boat, and Erik is horrified by what she has to say.

Bizarre beach images torment Ann. The police and officials close the murder case. Nikos refuses Erik's request that he recant his confession. Krasakis contacts Interpol for information on Judith Huxley. American businessman Samuel Kingdom Webber makes Erik an intriguing offer. Gerald Mace pumps Nestor about the Shepherds. Erik is reunited with friend Imogen Lundqvist, who's assisting an archaeological dig on the island. Krasakis receives the report from Interpol and stuns Erik with his theories about Ann and Judith.

S2.E3 ∙ A Very Long Spoon

Imogen takes an interest in Ann and befriends her. Krasakis reminds Erik that Ann killed Culley, and Nikos could face the death penalty for the crime. Ann wants to visit psychiatrist Hugh Russell in an attempt to regain her memory, though Erik objects. Gerald Mace searches the Shepherds' bedroom. Sam Webber invites the Shepherds to his hotel, and while there, Ann meets Hugh Russell, convincing him to administer her sodium pentathol. Under the drug, Ann's memory returns. Ann and Erik are stunned to hear from Ann's controller that Donald Culley didn't work for British intelligence, and they're made an offer they want to refuse but can't.

S2.E4 ∙ Beside a Crooked Stile

Ariadne fears what she sees in tarot cards. Ann is tormented by nightmares. Imogen makes a move on Erik, and although he rejects her, John sees the two kissing. Nikos continues to refuse Erik's suggestion that he recant his confession to Captain Krasakis, while Ann dismisses Erik's idea that she confess to shooting Donald Culley, preferring to keep their bargain that she wait for Culley's replacement to approach her. Nestor avoids a persistent Gerald Mace. John meets with Ann to tell her that Erik and Imogen are having an affair, but she thinks he's Culley's replacement. Erik discovers his boat has been padlocked by the harbormaster for violations. Mace catches up with Nestor on a carnival merry go round. Death arrive in Agios Nikolaos.

S2.E5 ∙ The Well Diggers

Sam Webber's true identity becomes known to Erik, who accepts his deal. Ann feels that she's being followed and accidentally betrays herself to Krasakis. Webber cautions Erik that Cotton and Nicolson will betray them. Krasakis confronts Erik for distrusting him. The man following Ann isn't who he appears to be. Culley's replacement makes his move. Cotton and Nicolson agree that Ann must do what's been asked of her, but Erik takes her to a family friend for hiding. Culley's replacement receives a warning from an unexpected source urging him to leave as quickly as possible.

S2.E6 ∙ And If You Have the Time, Lord

With Captain Krasakis' help, Erik betrays an enemy who leaves Agios Nikolaos, though not as they would like. Cotton and Nicholson show their true colors to Erik and think they've won; however, Ann makes an unexpected sacrifice. Erik visits the graves of friends.
