Coach Jody's team prepares to face their top rivals in Tulsa. Emerson attempts to train her new, unruly puppy. Turner competes with his girlfriend, Emma, in the ring while shy Eva joins the team as a first-time dog handler.

Emma wants to join Jody's team, but first needs to mend a longstanding rift with one of its members. Emerson struggles with Akilah, while Eva must overcome severe anxiety before her first competition. Camryn's need for perfection starts to take its toll.

Jody decides to let Emma join her team, but has regrets after a huge blow-up between them during her first competition. Emerson tests her mom's patience with too much babying and bonding with her young show dog Akilah.
