Following a threatening encounter with two recently-released junkies, Ringo welcomes a family trip to Switzerland as a fitting respite. Here he inadvertently meets the real estate agent Urs to whom he introduces himself as a Qatari Sheikh.
S1.E2 ∙ Das blühende Moor (The flourishing marsh)
With a "gift of trust" of EUR100,000, which the SHEIKH receives for the purchase of a villa, RINGO hopes to buy himself free from the junkies. CARLA, who tries in vain to obtain money from her father, finds herself alone with the junkies in the moor.
S1.E3 ∙ Der Kreis des Lebens (The circle of life)
One of the dead junkies turns out to be the son of MORLOK's principal investor. VON CONRADI demands revenge. Professional assassin BEN JUDAS enters the scene. Criminal investigator PINA asks unpleasant questions. RINGO is caught up in the SHEIKH act.
S1.E4 ∙ Kein Tag zum Sterben (Not a day to die)
The police and the killers follow the same trail: CARLA's ex-husband PATHOS suspects what happened and takes the blame for the murders to shield CARLA. Unfortunately, not to the police. He isn't Ben JUDAS' only victim. RINGO's "Qatar Global" expands.
S1.E5 ∙ Der Fisch stinkt vom Kopf (The fish rots from the head)
The SHEIKH's investments lack cash flow. With a forged bank statement, the reluctant SHEIKH manages to continue captivating his eager audience despite his growing reluctance. HORVATH holds CARLA responsible for the murders and arrests her.
S1.E6 ∙ Schüsse in der Nacht (Shots at night)
RINGO and CARLA confess to one another. CARLA urges him to end the SHEIKH story. But before that, the SHEIKH meets with her father - who asks for money. BEN JUDAS meanwhile knows that CARLA is behind the shooting in the moor.
S1.E7 ∙ 1001 Schweiz (1001 Switzerland)
RINGO's fake identity is his family's salvation. The SHEIKH's family flees to the Swiss Grand Hotel. The young policewoman HEIDI STUCKI uncovers the swindle. BEATRICE forces the SHEIKH to give a speech to the National Council.

As the media circulates the story about the fake SHEIKH, RINGO and CARLA are forced to flee back to their previous lives. CARLA turns herself in. PINA meets BEN JUDAS for a personal showdown.
