On Halloween, Smurfette gives Wimpy a magic pumpkin to help him scare the other Smurfs. When Azrael gets injured in the forest, Wild brings the cat to the Smurfs' village to heal.

Brainy is busy helping prepare for an event in which Papa Smurf is going to perform, but he wants to control everything and it annoys the Smurfs. To get back at him, Painter and Chef prepare a prank, but it backfires; when he swallows a potion-infested cake, Gargamel falls madly in love with Leaf and no longer wants to leave her.

During the first mixed pumpkin rally, Hefty and Storm compete with each other, but the two have uncompetitive teammates: Blossom and Dimwitty; when the Smurf Band's lead singer acts like a diva, the band accidentally replace him with another one.

When Handy invents a time machine for Blossom, the duo accidentally goes back to prehistoric times and are taken prisoner by prehistoric Smurfs who plan on sacrificing Handy to a ferocious beast.

When Wild steals their cupcakes, Begonia, Lily, and Blossom decide to teach him a lesson. Chef is growing increasingly worried when he sees that the Yummyus, the main ingredient in his famous Equinox pie, haven't bloomed yet and asks Farmer to do something.

When Clumsy convinces himself that he must become an acrobat at all costs to better manage his clumsiness, the Smurfs create a fake circus company to make his dream come true; persuaded to be an expert in love, Dreamer uses all the great clichés of romance novels to unite two Smurfs whose couple is more than unlikely -- Papa Smurf and Willow.

When the Smurfs try to recruit a new fire brigade, Clumsy and Dimwitty disguise themselves to take part in the tests. Papa Smurf, Willow, Leaf, and Gargamel and his mother are looking for the Sarsaparillo plant that grows every 100 years.

Provoked by Storm and her legendary competitiveness, Smurfette embarks on a betting escalation; this year, the Smurf Girls have invited all the Smurfs to their big Equinox ball. Hearing the news, Gargamel and Azrael transform into Girl Smurfs and infiltrate the preparations. The wizard's objective: pour an evil filter into the Sarsaparilla cocktail.

When Leaf gets sick, the Smurfs must cure the fairy to fix the rapidly changing weather. When the Smurfs find a note from Gargamel who asks his mother to come and treat him because he is very sick, they feel compelled to help him.

As Christmas approaches, Jokey mixes up the letters that the Smurfs have asked him to send to Santa Claus; when he's sidelined from the Smurfball tournament, Grouchy goes into the forest, where he befriends Bigmouth, much to the disappointment of Egghead.
