The Undertaker
A detective leaves the force to take over the family business as an undertaker at the same time as he is being investigated for murder. His close encounters with corpses and his earlier police training lead him to see things some of his ex-colleagues miss and he investigates the crimes he encounters in an unofficial capacity often to the dismay of he official police.

Investigation of the murder of a a residential care nurse leads the police to wonder if it was an inside job. Semmelweis is trying to remember the significance of a number. Launer is released from prison.

The head of a modeling agency is hit by a car on the eve of the finals of a contest. The investigation leads to the contestants. Launer has a new assistant. Things are heating up between and Maria and Pedro.

Four people are killed in a car accident outside a monastery who help disabled teens. The son of the driver can't let her go and Luc and staff help him let go. There is another attempt on Semmelweis's life.
S3.E5 ∙ Der Fremde im Sarg
A second body is found in a coffin Luc is suspected of disposing of the corpse. Pedro is convinced Luc is connected to the organ trade. Semmelweis is acting more erratically.
S3.E6 ∙ Asche zu Asche
Luc is on the run from police desperate to clear his name and find the real murderer. Semmelweis is deranged. Pedro is searching for the connection to Luc on his own.
